Hyatt House Fishkill

Great room for a family! The room was large, clean, the kitchen was nice. The bathroom was off of the main bedroom, which I find much better for traveling with little kids. There are no roll-away beds (per fire regs we were told) but there was a pull-out bed that was clean and worked well, and the sofa had an extra section that was large enough for our nine year old to sleep on. We stopped here (last minute) for the night during a long drive and we're so glad we did. Check in was super easy, beds were comfortable (the pillows were the best) so we all got a much needed good nights sleep. The free breakfast had a pretty standard variety but everything tasted great. Only thing my husband didn't like was the taste of the coffee in the room but that's no big deal. Highly recommend staying here and next time we drive through we will be sure to book a room.

The Hyatt House in Fishkill was a quick overnight in the midst of some travels. While I'm a loyal Hyatt customer, I picked this particular location purely because of location. I know it was previously operated under a different name before it became a Hyatt, so it's not a new build by any means, but the room size under the prior operator meant the suites are extremely spacious with a kitchenette. The man at the front desk went out of his way to accommodate my reservation despite the hotel being close to capacity, which I greatly appreciate. I do wish there were a few more options available at breakfast, since I wasn't looking for a hot breakfast or cereal. Adding some muffins or pastries would have been helpful for to grab and go.

Excellent service from front desk supervisor Liz and Director of Groups, Judy. They made our stay an excellent transaction because of their professionalism. The rooms were in great shape, the breakfast was superb and the nightly bar service superior.

I am clueless regarding some of the negative reviews on this site for this particular hotel. My husband and I stayed in a two bedroom unit, which was clean, roomy, and more than comfortable. Adding to this every single team member that we encountered in this hotel was friendly, agreed us, and clearly enjoyed working at this Hyatt house. Breakfast was more than acceptable, noise levels were fine. We would definitely return.

Room was clean and comfortable. Front desk staff friendly and fast. Fitness center was an added plus.

We were part of a large group staying at this hotel for a wedding that had reserved a block of rooms. The wedding schedule called for us to be at the wedding venue, 15 minutes away by car or by a bus the wedding had sent to transport people. The hotel's usual check-in time was 4 pm. We had requested early check-in so we could dress for the wedding and arrive on time. We called the night before and also at 1:30 pm on the wedding day as we were driving. At 1:30, the person who answered said she'd get our room cleaned right away. We arrived at 3 and were told the room was not yet clean. the man behind the counter was not helpful. Instead, he kept repeating that check-in time was 4 pm, over and over. He understood that the wedding guests (many, perhaps 40) at his hotel needed to get to the wedding venue by 5. But he really didn't care about the guests. Finally, a woman behind the counter gave us an empty, handicap-accessible room, which is what we needed and had reserved.

Hyatt Fishkill is clean, convenient and comfortable. Only two small negatives. First, carpeting is not a good idea in a place like this during these times as far as I'm concerned. It does seem to be kept up well, but carpeting is never really clean. The other is the pillows are a bit lacking. They are small and not very comfortable. BUT, the staff is so friendly and helpful and as I said and what's most important to me is that the place is clean. They were updating parts of the hotel when we stayed but it didn't impact our stay at all. If you want a drink in the evening, go to the bar and hopefully Karl (Coach Karl) will be serving you. He's a blast! Wish I could give it a perfect score, but the positives far outweigh the negatives for this hotel.
