We stayed for 1 week at White Grape Canava Suites last November and loved it. Finikia is an ancient, rural, authentic, car-free village. We loved getting lost in the alleys of the village, reaching Oia morning and evening on foot (20 min walk one way) without stressing about parking, going to watch the sunrises and sunsets over the caldera (the panaroma near the chapel just above Finikia is exceptional!) So yes, you have to leave the car in the car parks at the entrances to the village, walk a little (it's climbing!) but what a joy not to be in the tourist crush and see the donkeys as the only way of locomotion! Our Cave was very pretty and comfortable, furnished in the Greek tradition with everything needed for the first breakfast and for cooking. It's a great experience to stay in a typical and local habitat. The terrace is magnificent, with a view of the sea (Finikia is not oriented towards the caldera). The person who takes care of the rooms is discreet and attentive, as soon as we needed something (replacement towels, etc.), she responded immediately. We were seduced by this traditional and calm Canava.
