Filitheyo Island Resort

We stayed in an overwater villa for a week around the new year holiday. This resort is great. We came away refreshed and full of memories. First things first, this place is brimming with hospitality. We got smiles for miles from our server Mojilu in the dining area, Faruk in the pool bar, Robiul and Akil in the main bar as well as Zuhoor on our Snorkel Safari as well as our housekeeper Kashem. Everyone was lovely and accommodating. The only drawback we had was the menu. It is heavy on the curry. Unfortunately it's our least favorite cuisine. All meals are 70% curry so be ready. However there is a pasta station, fresh salads and some other alternatives for every meal. This one is more preference. As far as the carving station goes; there were meats nightly but they all were lukewarm. That is the only issue ue we had. We did make do with everything else that was offered. The resort has two bar areas and the pool is well maintained with a gorgeous sunset view. The grounds are cared for and the housekeeping includes turndown. We snorkeled off of the water villa daily and we found the dive center to be extremely stocked with excursions. Since we opted for the all-inclusive aspect we did get some complimentary excursions which we used to our advantage. PRO TIP, when you arrive, sign up for excursions at check-in. They can fill up fast if the resort is busy. This whole staff goes above and beyond to make you welcome.

Resort staffs - The resort manager is unmannered and very cheap guy who doesn’t have the manners to talk. Resort staffs are good . Accommodation- The rooms are as equivalent to a 1.5 star rooms very dirty furniture with meagre maintenance. Drinking water is chargeable. WiFi is chargeable. Transfer - Return transfer they will provide connecting seaplanes which is very inconvenient. Food - Food is stale and we were 16 friends out of that 6 people got food poisoning issues. When inquired from resort staffs they told its common here and everyday 3-4 cases comes . Unmannered Resort manager started arguing when complaining about food . Cleanness - Rooms are very dirty and nobody bothers to do housekeeping . Even after repeated requests the cleaning guys don’t do housekeeping on regular basis. In short it is advised not to visit as the money spent is not worth at all . Further the resort manager is the most unmannered staff we communicated over there .

Very relaxed, spotlessly clean, with lovely friendly staff who are always smiling and will do anything for you. The house reef and beautiful sandy white beaches are amazing. The only negative is that wifi is only available in a few places and you need to log back into it every time rather than it automatically connecting. This is a fairly minor gripe and we would not hesitate to return.

The resort is very calm, beautiful with very friendly staff. Rooms are very comfortable (except the bed mattress) and clean. Snorchling is great. Food is something incredible here! Lots of curries and great reef fishes. Traveling by hydro-plane was very exciting. For us is this holiday kind a paradise. We highly recommend this resort to everyone who is looking for peaceful staying.
