Courtyard Amelia Island

Only thing the hotel has going for it is its location . First staff was extremely rude at check in , didn't even smile or offer any information about the hotel pretty much robotic . Our first room was a handicap room by the elevator so we went down and requested a quieter room , and he made a big fuss about the fact that he could have sold that balcony room to someone else, not sure how this is my problem . After we settled into our room was when we noticed the severe wear and tear on the room . The toilet paper holder fell off , our room door got stuck and you had to shoulder your way in , pain was chipping and the trim around the shower was coming up . The pool was lovely but dirty with lots of debris in it , the hot tub was not even Luke warm . Overall disappointing stay , but good location by the beach .

My family and I came to escape the craziness of Augusta, Georgia and the Masters Golf Tournament for what we thought would be a relaxing beach vacation only to find that our hotel stay began with a dirty sink and shower that obviously had not been cleaned in a while, a broken air conditioner that had to replaced mid stay, and a parking nightmare because we were not told in advance that the Prom would be taking place at the hotel. As we are from out of town, we had of no way of knowing that the Prom would be held there, and certainly were not warned in advance. To top off the craziness we were told upon check in that we could sign up for the rewards program and avoid the $15 per day parking fees (not that we could find parking for part of our stay), and then received a bill for parking upon checkout. With a little complaining the parking fee issue was cleared up, but the other issues were beyond ridiculous for the price we paid to stay here. Overall, we will not stay here again. The price per night is ridiculously high for what you are provided.

We were at an event which got rained out early in the day. Called the courtyard and Dennis was so kind and allowed us to check in early. The property was modern, so clean and the staff was a delight. Had a nice view & bed & linens were great. After we dried out, enjoyed dinner at a local restaurant. Made use of fitness center the next morning (weather kept us from enjoying the beautiful pool. Only suggestion: offer free breakfast.

Located half a block from beautiful Fernandina Beach this place is unbeatable! Kids loved the massive (heated) pool. Nice breakfast selection. Room was big, clean and quiet. Best part was time spent on the balcony reading, relaxing and taking in the stunning ocean views!
