I had a dinner dance event for just under 100 guests. The event went off without a hitch. The food was excellent, all served in good time even with the various choices. Jane,Zoe and all the staff were a joy to work with from the first phone call to the moment we left. Nothing was too much trouble. Approximately 30 guests stayed the night, and the rooms were great. The breakfast was very good with a wide choice on offer. The overall impression was of a family run hotel, where everyone has a vested interest in you enjoying your stay. All in all a very pleasant experience and I for one will definitely use the hotel again.

We had a very pleasant stay. The large room and beds were so comfortable. Dinner in the Magnolia Restaurant was delicious as was breakfast. The staff were attentive and professional. We have been to this hotel before and will definitely return

This hotel has loads of car parking and is in an excellent position just outside the town centre so we could easily walk there. There was a problem with my booking which was sorted out by the receptionist who went above and beyond to make it easy. The room was a good size with comfy beds. The bathroom was a decent size but unfortunately the water pressure was so low that I had to have a very shallow bath. We didn't eat here in the evening but the receptionist was once again very helpful with eating suggestions in the town. We returned later to have a drink in the bar which was very comfortable but dominated by a large group who became louder as the evening progressed. The breakfast requires special mention as it was excellent. Plenty of cold options and the hot food was made to order, so much better than hotels with hot buffet which is generally not hot at all. We would definitely stay here again if in the area.

We stayed here recently for a wedding, and although it was very nice, I wouldn't call it a 4*. The room was clean and comfortable, with a good sized bathroom. There was a hairdryer in the room, as well as an iron and ironing board and tea/coffee making facilities. I had a few cups of tea on the first evening, and when our room was made up the next day, I was slightly disappointed to see that they hadn't replenished the sugar supply. We didn't eat in the restaurant so I can't comment on that, but the wedding food was very nice. Drinks were expensive, with an alcohol-free Peroni only being 35p cheaper than it's alcoholic counterpart. All in all we had a pleasant stay and the wedding was lovely. Would return if we were ever in the area again.

We had a really nice time here - we stayed over a weekend and they told us at the last minute that some of the rooms might be noisy as there was a function on. Hotels need functions to exist but it annoying when told at the last minute, However before we arrived we asked what could be done - could we change rooms? - when we arrived Julie managed to change some of our rooms with the function guests giving some of our party rooms away from the noise and the party rooms closer to the function - all's well that ends well. Our room was very good - we had the Deluxe Suite and exceptional find - all of our party found the rooms to be of the highest standard. Because of the function we had our Saturday dinner out (no problem nice Indian 300 yds down the road) but used the restaurant for breakfast - where there were no issues as everything was to a high standard - two of us stayed over Sunday as well and had dinner a bit late, the restaurant was nearly closed - I think the chef had his coat on - but they still rustled up a couple of very nice pizza for us - really good service. Overall a good stay and we were so impressed we will be going back ourselves soon.

Issue with being booked on the same night as a function which they told us would make some of our rooms noisy - but they only told us the week before. In the end a very very helpful member of staff - Julie - arranged to swap some of our party into rooms where function people were staying so it worked out fine on the night - but would have been nice not to have the grief until we arrived. The whole experience was great - all the staff were helpful and put themselves out - breakfast was excellent - had to eat our on the first night as the restaurant was taken over with the function but told 'you can eat in the bar' - so we went to a local Indian a couple of hundred yards down the road so that worked out ok as well. All in all a good and enjoyable stay in a quality hotel.

Booked one night at this hotel for a Cotswolds mini break. 2 adults and 1 child. Room was spacious and very comfortable. Great pillows! Clean and airy. Bright too, considering the small window for the size of the room. No air con in the room, that I noticed but the room was nice and cool despite the sunny weather. Bathroom great size and very clean. Hotel staff lovely and polite. Parking great. Peaceful location. We didn’t hear any noise either from outside or adjoining rooms. Only a couple of things I think it lacked but certainly wouldn’t stop me staying again. Fridge and hairdryer would be beneficial but that’s personal preference. Blanket provided for sofa bed for child guest was thin. Normal single duvet would have been better. We had blankets with us so used them. All in all a nice comfortable stay.

We recently had our wedding at Sudbury House in July 2024, and we couldn't be more grateful to the venue, the staff and our wedding planner Natalie. The setting was absolutely stunning, and we were so lucky to have got married outside on the beautiful patio, surrounded by the gardens. The staff went above and beyond to ensure everything went smoothly. They were attentive and invested in making our day perfect for us. Natalie, we cannot thank you enough for looking after us all day and making sure the day went to schedule. You were exceptional, supporting us through the planning process and on the day itself. Furthermore, all our guests said how lovely their rooms were and the. bridal suite was so spacious, clean and beautiful. The food was delicious and we have received so many compliments from our guests. Our day was magical and we will never forget the hard work from the team at Sudbury House for making it possible. We will definitely be back for dinners and to say hello to you all in the future xx

Visited for a few nights to celebrate our anniversary. We booked the luxury break, and had Prosecco and chocolates in our room on arrival, a dinner on the first night, and a cream tea as part of the stay. The staff were beyond helpful and very friendly, but dinner was a disappointment - very plain, and a burnt pizza. The room was comfortable, clean and well-organised (no air-con), but an odd, musty smell in the top floor corridor. This served as an excellent base to explore the Cotswolds, and overall, a very enjoyable break.
