Super 8 by Wyndham Fallon
3.7/524 Reviews
This Super 8 Motel is co-located with a ****** in Fallon. The rooms were clean. The wifi worked. The AC and showers all worked. The rooms all had ”no smoking” signs on the door. However our room smelled like cigarette smoke. And in Nevada they can smoke in ******s, so I'm guessing they don't enforce the ”no smoking” rule for the motel rooms. Another complaint is that they advertised that they include a free breakfast. Actually their ”free breakfast” is a Danish sweet roll and coffee. And when we went to get our breakfast the next morning after our stay, they were all out, and the ”warehouse” couldn't bring them anymore. They have a restaurant on-site. They could have offered us a free meal there or at least a portion off our bill, but did not. If you choose to stay here at least be aware that there is supposedly a free ”roll and coffee” but not a breakfast. Compare it to a Motel 6 with no breakfast. If you are okay with that and the price, then it is not a bad place to stay.
Best Western Fallon Inn Suites

While traveling east on CA Highway 120 we encountered few places to get accommodations, fuel, or food. We were so grateful to find a Best Western hotel in Fallon, Nevada. The room was clean and comfortable. The staff was kind and helpful. We asked for a first floor room so that we were able to pull up to our door and easily unload and reload our car. The breakfast and coffee were also appreciated. Thank you!
Econo Lodge Fallon Naval Air Station Area

I chose this hotel because it was within easy walking distance of my business in Fallon. Even though it was about the cheapest you'd find a hotel room anywhere in the country, I still would try to avoid it in future. Its positives are the room rate, no safety issues that I encountered, and the fact that it is an easy walk from the Fallon's downtown business and leisure district (Maine Street). The drawbacks include: - The guy at the front desk understood almost no English. He didn't seem to understand even simple questions and requests. - A $1 charge for each coffee machine cartridge in your room (I have never encountered this before, even in economy hotels). - The orange juice dispenser in the front office was broken, a soda vending machine was semi-broken (would only accept quarters) - in short, the place doesn't seem to be maintained very well. - Wifi is hokey and unreliable. Took ages to load the login page after connecting, after which is was slow and kept kicking me off. I had to use my phone as a hotspot in the end. - The split unit air conditioner was so noisy that I was unable to sleep with it on. Noise from the street outside and adjacent rooms was also loud enough to be a distraction. - The swimming pool was covered and out of use. - The bathroom was worn and dirty (there was a faint blood stain on the toilet seat lid!). If you're on a very tight budget, and/or want to stay within walking distance of downtown Fallon, this place is possibly worth considering. But otherwise, I would head for one of the slightly more upscale hotels within a mile or two on the Lincoln HIghway.
