Consistently praised for its excellent value, convenient location near attractions, and friendly, efficient staff. Guests enjoyed comfortable, spacious rooms with plush beds, but some found the food options limited.

Very tired room with bad mould problem in the bathroom. The extraction fan did not work which caused the bathroom to smell after taking a shower. The fire alarm was activated by the staff five times over two days disturbing my sleep pattern. This led to my work contract being cancelled for safety reasons, costing me money.

Really poor impression on arrival. Staff discussing HR issues with named colleagues in lobby in front of us - including who would be getting warning letters. Early check in granted thankfully yet I was made to feel like an inconvenience and they lacked organisation to even find my booking. Poor room quality - make up and bedside lamps not working and hair across surfaces in the bathroom. One USB port in the room only and it was not working. I’ve stayed twice before and had a much better experience. Come on everyone, do better.

Have stayed in many Premier Inn locations, this is our eighth different one this year. This time a Premier Plus room, the usual comfortable room and bed. Friendly and helpful staff. A fixed shower, I prefer a flex, and bath. One light in the bathroom not working. Could do with some drawers to store clothing in, especially if staying for more than one day. Coffee machine, fridge and iron/ironing board are useful but you pay extra for a Premier Plus room to get this. Restaurant easy accessible, food ok, breakfast, the usual fare, ok. Parking outside cost £7 for a night’s stay. I think my vote for the best Premier Inn I’ve stayed in this year goes to premier plus room in Premier Inn, Washington

Warm comfortable bed and room with clean linen, coffee making facilities. The staff at reception were friendly and let me use their fridge for food for the family the following day. However the bathroom, spotlessly clean could do with a new coat of paint.

We opt to stay at the Premier Inn (M5 J29) as it is convenient for seeing family in Exeter. We have stayed at this property/unit many time over the past 4/5 years, and have witnessed gradual decline in the quality of the rooms and the locale. There is a very clear and distinct lack of investment into the property/unit. It is now really tired, old, and dirty; bordering on dreadful. We were given a family room on the ground floor, which smelt of damp on opening the door. It was overpowering. As such, we were given a second room (109), which was terrible. The bathroom extractor fan was broken, so after three bathroom showers, condensation covered every surface of the room. The towel rail was missing, which made drying towels unnessarily difficult. The light around the mirror in the main room was broken on one side which made getting ready more challenging. The hairdryer attachment was broken. The corners of the skirting boards and windows were covered in damp. And finally, there was thick dust around the beds and sofa, which demonstrates a lack of care when cleaning. Experience has taught me that it is pointless brining these issues to the attention of staff, as they are clearly not empowered to effect change or compensate - thats if there are any staff at all. The staff are always friendly enough, but it does raise the question of who in management deems such rooms to be "on brand'. Given the price per night, the state of the hotel is unacceptable. This is a tired brand, that is clearly suffering from a distinct lack of care, investment, and attention.

The kindest staff I have ever experienced. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Extra tea etc downstairs is a good idea. Excellent value for money. Easy to get into Exeter by bus or taxi. Food package is great value. Not cordon blue, but fills you up well. Easy to order.

We stayed here as I needed a room for my Christmas party. We had a premier plus room for the first time ever, which was also for accessibility access. Room was clean and tidy, I liked the extra treats of chocolate and water in the fridge. Good WiFi. The shower was really powerful. The only downside was there was an odd furniture smell as you walked in, however it couldn’t be smelt after being in the room a while. The door on the bathroom was very stiff and was difficult to close.
