I stayed last week for buisness and they had me on the fifth floor and a king size bed. I had to come back this week and after a 5 hour drive I was really looking for ward to the comfy king bed. They booked me in what seems to be a 2 double bed room with a shower door that will not close all the way and you have to push to slam it. I asked to change my room to a king and the manager told me they were sold out during the week. I am here all week I would think I would be accommodated accordingly. Very disappointed.

I was severely disappointed in this hotel. The lobby and downstairs was utter chaos with 2 weddings, kids from a swim meet, and entitled Karen/Kevin cutting into the long check-in line to purchase snacks when we arrived. It was a sensory overload from just the sounds. We arrived after 4PM, keep in mind check-in starts at 3PM, we were told that no rooms were available due to being fully booked the evening prior and housekeeping being behind/understaffed. We had just passed several housekeeping staff in the parking garage smoking in the stairwell (which was awful to smell as a first impression). The only offer was to "call us" when a room was ready, but looking around, we found many other families sitting an waiting as well. They had no idea when we would have a room and we had somewhere to be by 7PM. They could not guarantee we would be checked in by then, 3 hours later! Also, on such a busy day - NO MANAGEMENT WAS ON PROPERTY. Their only offer was to not charge us for parking - which is about $20. We asked them to cancel our reservation, without cancelation fees and call other properties in the area for a room we could check into upon arrival. They obliged by calling their sister property 10 minutes away. This is why they get a 2/5 and not a 1/5.

Hilton member. I will never do double tree again! Generic, cheap everything, except your bill! Room small, bed and pillows awful! No free any thing! Paid parking! Cathy at the front desk, and employees, was the only thing nice there! Waste of money

I had a reservation for business. They wouldn’t accommodate the rate without “official” papers. In 30 years of business travel this has never happened. I had my ID but that wasn’t asked for nor accepted. “Official” papers went out of style in the 90s. Also, some official business is private. Don’t go here and expect they will honor the business rate they have promoted. Not every “business” official receives a company card, which is what they expect. Please let your new GM know this is running off business that has stayed there more than a dozen times in the last few years. We expect better from the Doubletree Hilton family.

Reserved my room weeks in advanced. Requested and was confirmed room would be ready by 4pm the day before arrival. Arrived at 6pm and the room was not ready. Front desk person didn't think it was a big deal and advised they had been busy. There was a large party that night having an event but I feel a hotel should be staffed and capable of handling all aspects of hotel operations daily. Offered to get me a different room in a different location in the hotel which I accepted because I had no other choice. Requested free upgrade. No upgrade offered other than paying for parking which is an addition fee at this 4 star hotel. I feel for the price and the rating it was below average service. The room also had coffee stains on the floor, discolored furniture, and the shower was a little dirty. I do travel and stay in different hotels in different towns and this hotel for the price, service and cleanliness was sub par at best. Stayed in a lot of 2 star Hilton's that were much better in every aspect. I do not recommend.

The rooms are nice, hotel is clean, amenities are minimal. Food at breakfast was OK. My biggest issue is the bar. They charged $30 per shot of McCallan 12 year old scotch. That is higher than the Ritz in Paris, or any other place in the world, and we travel a lot. DO NOT PATRONIZE THIS BAR, IT’S A HUGE RIPOFF.

Yes, we stayed here the night before the eclipse, so I get that it was a special event and rates were going to be higher. But $450 for a king room that was pretty average? But parking and a cookie were included in the $450! The check-in process was fine. Lighting in the room was pathetic. The bed was a bit soft. On the plus side, the room was clean and there were lots of places to put our belongings. There was a safe in the room.

Very nice, new hotel in downtown Evansville. Especially convenient if you are attending a function at either the Ford Center or Old National Events Plaza with the use of the skyway. Parking is extra, but reasonable at under $20 a night. Very clean and quiet.

Stayed here for the Jeff Dunham show. Was expecting the usual Hilton coffee in the lobby with morning breakfast. There was no coffee, no breakfast. What the heck happened to the Hilton name? Cancelling my Hilton Honors membership. Price gouging on even getting a coffee for breakfast. Unbelieveable
