Comfort Suites

We travelled to Eufala for a family reunion. This was our second stay at the Comfort Suites. We stayed at the hotel in 2019- it was fine then. Now I’m guessing that the hotel must have just opened or just been renovated in 2019. Our stay in 2023 was completely different. There was mold in the bathroom; stains in the shower; the carpet in the room was stained; and the room smelled stale and unclean. After a trip to the store for air freshener and sanitizing wipes, we made it work. We will definitely make a different choice when we return to Eufala.

I was scared to go to sleep in this room not because of security but the place was nasty. To begin, the key was issued in a worn out jacket. As I walked down the hallway to my room , I just followed the large stains in the carpet. The room had brown stains on the curtains not sure if they were blood stains or something else. Two TVs in the room with only one working remote. The shower had dirt stains on the wall and chipped spot in the tub. The sinks faucet was dislodged from the vanity and the plug was missing in the bowl. The note pad on the nightstand was visibly wet and dried out as it was wrinkled badly. I asked for another room on the second floor. I followed the carpet stains once again to my room. This room was no improvement. The curtains were hanging- off the hook. The sink was clogged. I wrote “ dust me” with my finger on the headboard. The zingers were the used soap in the shower leftover from the previous guest and the drool stains on one of the pillows. I wrapped the other pillows in the towels to sleep on. If it wasn’t midnight in this small town, I would definitely sought out another hotel. Happy it’s only one night because I can’t wait to leave. They offer a free breakfast but that’s a hard pass. I can only imagine what the kitchen looks like.

I stayed here 2 nights while working on my hunting lease. Property was nice. Rooms were clean. Air conditioning and TV worked well. The suite part was nice having the wet bar and mini-fridge as well as the couch. Everything worked in the bathroom. Price point was good for what I was there for. I did not get to try their breakfast or pool. Good stay though.

Hotel was average. It appeared they were just plain out short-staffed. There was no hot breakfast, but instead guests were given breakfast bags that consisted of a muffin, granola bar, apple and water. (Hot coffee was also available). Not a huge deal, but I don't know of any hotel that's still keeping Covid restrictions that strict. The indoor pool was also closed, "due to Covid." I wasn't planning on using it - but I wish they would have just stated it was due to short staffing. The room wasn't bad at all, but it could have used a good scrub down. A few stains on the shower curtain, and a dirty brown mark on the wall beside my closet. Again, nothing major at all - just needed a good scrubbing. The kitchenette was wonderful and cleaned thoroughly. The best thing about the hotel was the staff. Far and above - they were all incredibly friendly. 10/10, each person I interacted with was so lovely and kind. The young man who checked me in was so nice and welcoming. I didn't get his name, but he was a true gem. The young woman who gave me breakfast was so sweet. The housekeeper was so sweet. All around - a very pleasant experience with the staff. I felt very safe at the hotel, especially compared to other hotels in the area. There was no noise at all. Considering the low-cost, I feel the inconveniences here were minor enough that I would not hesitate to return.

We had but did not need an accessible room. There were two TV’s one for the bedroom and one for the area with the sofa. Comfortable bed . The location is set back some from US 431 so no traffic noise. My only disappointment was the sack breakfast. An apple a bottle of water and a granola bar.
