Excellent service and friendly staff. They even accompdated our late check out. The hotel is very clean. Would highly recommend.

This is a historical hotel where the author of James Bond books once lived and where one of the movies was filmed.
The rooms are good quality.
The spa has a swimming pool, jacuzzi, massage showers, hammam, sauna. However, they refused to give me more than 1 towel per visit.
The breakfast is good quality. You can order a custom-made omelette with various ingredients. The fruit choice included mango and papaya even in winter.
The only unpleasant moment was that they tried to downgrade the room category for us (give a lower category room than originally booked, even though it was in low season). I have never experienced that before in my entire life. Fortunately, thanks to an efficient intervention of the trip.com customer support, we managed to get the exact room type that we originally booked, but there was a little bit of a stress, so I advise everyone to double-check directly with the hotel what room category you will be put in BEFORE you arrive.

Un hôtel historique de Estoril avec un charme à l'ancienne, idéalement situé à côté du ******, de la plage et de toutes les commodités. Décor somptueux, personnel adorable et aux petits soins, magnifique piscine. Le spa est spacieux avec une immense piscine intérieure (eau de la piscine un peu froide) sans être pour autant un spa de luxe. Petit-déjeuner assez varié. Un bémol cependant : chambre agréable mais un peu vieillotte.

Overall the hotel exterior was impressive but the interior was average. This hotel in my eyes is no longer a 5 star hotel. I say no longer as I can recognise why it would have been in its time but it’s in need of an update and some TLC. The service was traditional luxury service with doormen, concierge and help with luggage, but nothing hugely spectacular. The room and decor was grand but a bit run down with scuffed furniture, peeling wallpaper in the halls and a dated feel. The aircon was effective but you had to ring down to reception to amend the temperature which is annoying and out of the norm, especially in the middle of the night. The minibar and room service had everything you could want but was definitely on the pricey side, and it’s always a pet peeve of mine when complimentary water is non-existent or very limited. Overall I would stay again but only on some sort of deal as the price doesn’t align to what you get in my eyes.

Fantastic stay at the Palácio Estoril from start to finish. I travel frequently and stay in many hotels worldwide, and the Palácio ranks among the best. Every staff member I met was exceptionally friendly, helpful, and took care of every detail. The hotel is well-maintained, with a beautiful outdoor pool area. It's in a great location, with easy access to Lisbon, Cascais, and the airport and I would definatley stay here again. The standards here are exceptionally high, with no signs of them slipping!
