Hotels Near Kettwig in Essen

There's a beautiful hotel all right and clean just just unclear how to drive it

We were 138 people and spent 3 days and nights in this very beautiful hotel. We eat 2 evenings in the hotel and one evening in the historical townhouse Langenberg in Velbert with catering from the hotel restaurant. All dinners were simply very tasty. The staff and the kitchen manager were very nice and attentive. The rooms in the hotel were modernly furnished and also have windows to open in the upper floors. The sanitary area was also modern and had a flat shower. The rooms were clean. We can only recommend the house!

This is at best an Ibis-equivalent hotel. The receptionist even called it a motel. The room is small and poorly equipped. There is no coffee-machine although there is a kettle. One of the cups still had the last person's coffee rim stain. There is no air-conditioning, no fans available and it is hot and airless. The window can be opened but only if you are prepared to leave the curtains open and be in full view of people visiting the Mcdonalds opposite. The road noise is not great either. The restaurant is closed, but I was offered a microwaved mini pizza! If you must stay in a Mercure in the area, go to the Mercure City Nord in Düsseldorf.

To my opinion, this is not a four star hotel. The hotel is big, however, aged, and in certain areas in need of modernization. The hotel is equipped with a swimming pool, however, on picture, it provides a bigger impression than the actual size which is quite small . Hotel reception staff are nice and friendly The room is very small, the bed is comfortable. There is a small fridge. The biggest appointment is the bathroom area, which is very old and in need of modernization. For the price paid, it was an unsatisfactory stay

We booked this hotel at the last minute for 2 nights mid November. After reading some reviews, we asked for a room around the back, away from the road. That turned out to be unnecessary as the whole hotel is quite quiet due to quality double glazing and solid construction. Yes, it is under the flight path of Dusseldorf Airport, but that has a curfew from 11pm - 6am and most of the time the flights going overhead are landing (and therefore quieter). We wore earplugs anyway but we probably didn't need to. The view outside our room (#210) was sublime with yellow autumn leaves on all the trees and ground. There is a beautifull park out the back, with a walking trail for several kms. We found the room extremely spacious, with an excellent and supportive King Size Bed. There was so much room for our large suitcases, and the storage options with cupboards and shelving are thoughtfully designed. The large and bright bathroom has a really big bathtub! The hot water is fast and very hot, and the fittings are solid but tasteful. We found the branded bath towels to be super thick and comfy, great work! The bathroom has a good door, so we left the bathroom light on all night with just a sliver of light underneath to help us see our way in the dark. The checkin staff were helpful and patient with our German upon arrival. We would like to commend Herr Dievernich for his warm welcome and Frau Hartmann for her friendliness. The bus stop (Bus #751)is directly outside to get you to the local station called Hosel. We would like to commend this hotel for employing some more mature staff who we found to be warm and patient and seemed genuinely interested in us.

Ich bin eine gebürtige Essenerin und kenne deshalb das Hotel schon ewig. Die Lage ist zentral, gegenüber vom Hauptbahnhof und mitten in der Stadt. Die Zimmer sind je nach Kategorie geräumig. Ich finde es toll, das man die Fenster öffnen kann. Auch die Betten sind bequem. Frühstück gegen Aufpreis, dort gibt es allerdings Verbesserungspotential. Trotzdem 100% Empfehlung

When he saw us coming, he came out angrily and scolded us. Fortunately, we were able to successfully stay later. Got off The room is small, but the bed and TV are quite big. There is a student apartment opposite. You can see clearly from their room, so it is recommended to close the curtains. The biggest drawback is that the sound insulation of the door is extremely poor. It is almost as if there is no door. You can clearly hear the opening and closing of the door in the next room, and even the sound of the TV and alarm clock. In the morning, the sound of the cleaners making phone calls in the corridor is just like... It's like it's right in my room, so scary The pillows are very flat and uncomfortable. The bed is okay. The shower space is a bit small. People with taller bodies may find it more uncomfortable. The service was pretty good when checking out (maybe it was because of a different person)
