Hello, the staff was very friendly and accommodating!
The room furnishings were very worn - estimated to be 35 years old.
The traffic was very loud. Even with the windows closed.
The food was good, but unfortunately we weren't full.

Tolles vielfältiges und gesundes Frühstück, immer gut nachversorgt. Tische waren während der gesamten Frühstückzeit gut eingedeckt. Es herrschte eine entspannte Atmosphäre. Das Personal im Frühstückraum ist gepflegt und ging auf die Kundenwünsche gerne ein. Die Arbeitskleidung betont ihre Professionalität. Das Personal an der Rezeption war neutral freundlich und passiv, es fehlt eine gewisse Kundenherzlichkeit (ein Punkt Abzug). Ein Zimmermädchen hat versucht uns beim Verlassen des Hotels noch zu erreichen, um uns ein Büchlein zu geben, weil sie dachte, dass wir es beim Packen vergessen haben. Bei solcher Kultur kommen wir sehr gerne wieder zum Bayerischer Hof, wenn wir mal in Erlangen sind. Im Hotel sieht man noch sehr viele Ecken, Dekoartikel, Möbel der vergangenen Blütezeit. Unser Hotelzimmer war top und sauber aber hellhörig und ohne Klimaanlage, das war für uns akzeptabel - der Umwelt zuliebe und angesichts des Preis-Leistungsverhältnisses. Vom Hotel aus ist "alles" fußläufig erreichbar. Das Stadtzentrum ist klein aber fein, auch die Menschen verhalten sich sehr dezent, das hat uns angetan. Wir mögen deutsche Küche. Wir waren glücklich, dass wir dort noch viele gute, authentisch deutsche Speisen genießen können.

Brauchte spontan ein Zimmer in Erlangen. Da ich nicht allzuviel Zeit hatte, Preise und Hotels zu vergleichen, entschied ich mich für den Bayerischen Hof. Den Namen kennt man, das Haus in München genießt einen tadellosen Ruf. Kann mir nur schwer vorstellen, dass es einen Zusammenhang zum Münchener Haus gibt. Das Zimmer, was mir hier angeboten wurde, war, um es mal diplomatisch zu sagen, unterirdisch. Nicht von den Fotos täuschen lassen. Wenn man Pech hat, landet man in einem Albtraum aus dunkelrotem Teppich und Möbeln, die selbst in Berlin ein paar Tage am Straßenrand stehen bleiben würden. Das Bad: absoluter Wahnsinn. Fenster ließ sich nicht öffnen, die Jalousie wurde behelfsmäßig festgeknotet, im Rahmen bildete sich Schimmel. Die Dusche war kaum nutzbar, kochend heißes oder eiskaltes Wasser, dann aber ohne Druck. Armaturen und Duschkabine stark verkalkt. Der Kellerfrühstückssaal bietet ein Frühstück, das man maximal als mittelmäßig bezeichnen kann. Bei meiner Abreise wies ich auf den Zustand des Badezimmers hin, worauf mir lapidar, ohne die Augen vom Monitor zu nehmen, entgegnet wurde, dass man dem Hausservice Bescheid sagen würde. Meine Beschwerde-Email (mit Fotos), die ich im Nachgang geschickt habe, blieb unbeantwortet.

Wenn sie live Musik bis spät in die Nacht hören wollen, dann sind sie in diesem Hotel richtig. Sie müssen sich aber von so etwas wie Nachtruhe verabschieden. Das Management oder die Hotelleitung sind für Beschwerden nicht erreichbar. Nie wieder dieses Hotel.

I’ve been staying in this hotel on and off since 2007 and very little has changed since then. Rooms are quite tired and maintenance is haphazard. That being said, its location is great (very near Arcarden, the Bahnhof and most of the good eateries) and breakfast is the best in town (selection, freshness, friendly service). There is also a very underused sauna/gym area but good luck finding it. I’ll keep staying here because I know it and love it.

The name says it all! "First house on the square" Hidden entrance but then surprised by the great building! Conference hotel/business/weekend guests are very welcome! Great rooms and a fantastic breakfast! The loyal souls in all years pass on the warmth to the guests and also to their team! Marianne at breakfast, the breakfast cooks, as well as the housekeeper! The professionalism at reception, is available to answer any questions at any time! In the evening, a small selection of bistro dishes! Great bar with an extended lobby, here the local beer tastes good as well as the gin and tonic! The team, such great and different nationalities, with friendliness and passion can be felt throughout the house! I haven't been able to experience this for a long time! I will be coming back and am already looking forward to the reopening of the in-house restaurant, which is currently under renovation! I was already able to look through the window! Deserves ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ stars! Keep up the good work!
