Eratap Beach Resort

This is a highly recommended small resort about 30 minutes drive from town. Our accommodation was a spacious two bedroom villa with a grass area larger than my own backyard. We hardly used the air conditioning as fans were usually sufficient to keep the rooms cool. On arrival, we were warmly welcomed by the manager, who accompanies guests to their villa after a friendly chat about the resort. All staff were friendly and happy to help with any matters. A great feature of this resort is the ease of using the facilities. Compared to larger resorts, you don’t need to sign for pool towels or water sports equipment. Just take something, use it for as long as you need and bring it back – so easy. We attempted paddle boarding for fun. They also have kayaks, surfboards, body boards, snorkelling equipment and mountain bikes (with helmets). We often enjoyed a petanque game on the way back to our villa after finishing a pool swim. They also have a good system for checking your daily resort expenses for food so there’s no bill shock or accidental additions on checkout. The food is top quality and fresh with a wide menu selection. The chef and his crew do a very good job for the remote location. There’s a daily bus to take you into town and the two hours before pickup is surprisingly sufficient for shopping and sight seeing. We recommend making the most of the daily resort activities. They have a weekly visit to Eratap village, where a lot of staff live. Other weekly activities include a plantation ‘bush’ walk, a hands on cooking demonstration and a night time fire show.

Fabolous Holiday WOW what a holiday!! Amazing resort. From the moment we arrived at the airport - the staff were fabulous. The facility's were wonderful. From the gym, to the pool, to the snorkeling - beautiful reef to explore. Evening entertainment was enjoyable - Fire Show and local band. Hope to visit again.

The most amazing resort. We stayed at eratap beach resort for 6 nights for our honeymoon- we stayed in villa 11 (honeymoon villa). Robert picked us up from the airport with cold bottles of water, was super friendly and chatted with us about Vanuatu on the way to the resort (30mins from airport). On arrival Pascal greeted us and checked us in, she spent 10mins chatting to us about the resort, activities and answered our questions, we received a welcome drink on arrival (delicious). Robert kindly took our bags to our room for us. Our honeymoon villa was amazing! The bed was very comfortable, large shower & bathroom, air-conditioning worked perfectly. The living area was large and comfortable sofas. The restaurant has amazing food, all staff were so kind & welcoming- Mel was especially great! We used the spa, Anna & Elody were so friendly and providing a relaxing experience. The resort offers many different activities with no charge, we went on the village tour, daily trips to Port Vila, yoga session & experienced the fire dancing night (AMAZING). We also used the resort activities such as doing a drift snorkel around the big island- INCREDIBLE snorkelling & we swam with 2 dugongs! Pascal is an incredible staff member, she organised all of our external activities (blue lagoon, waterfalls, fishing charter) and was so kind & accomodating. I couldn't recommend this resort enough, a fantastic place & wonderful honeymoon experience.

TOP RESORT, TRES DÉCONTRACTÉ On a séjourné 3 nuits dans un honeymoon villa, wauw. Très privé, piscine pour nou seul, belle vue, tout était au top. Les serveurs tous très agréables, on se sent tout de suite à la maison. Plage superbe devant l hotel avec un barrière de coral, comme un aquarium!!!

Eratap Resort is amazing! Chelsea and her team could not look after us better. The staff are beautiful, so lovely, friendly and helpful. Our villa is very spacious and immaculately clean. The location is perfect, away from the hustle and bustle of Port Villa but only a 20 minute drive away from the city or the airport. You can snorkel straight off the beach in front of your villa. We even had a turtle lay a nest on our part of the beach! Eratap has been heaven on earth.

Although the weather was not perfect, we had a delightful holiday here. Tony, the hotel owner, was exceptionally friendly and welcoming. He provided us with a detailed introduction to the hotel's facilities and activities. However, the hotel staff would need additional professional training. During our first hour at the hotel, I sustained an injury while attempting to borrow a surfboard. The staff appeared unfamiliar with how to unhook the surfboard, resulting in an accident that caused significant injury. While they did offer verbal apologies and basic first aid assistance, we felt somewhat neglected in terms of follow-up. The hotel offers complimentary speedboat transportation to two nearby islands renowned for their beautiful coral reefs and perfect for snorkelling. Our captain consistently provided pick-ups and drop-offs on time. The on-site restaurant serves high-quality cuisine that exceeded our expectations in terms of portion size and flavour. We particularly enjoyed the fruit platter and Thai omelette for breakfast. Overall, the location is great and the surroundings are beautiful, with stunning coral reefs and delicious restaurants. The driver of the hotel was very good, the day we left the hotel and went to the airport, our driver Robert said it was his 50th birthday. He liked a cake very much but thought it was too expensive to buy it. I hope he had a good birthday and if we have a chance to visit Vanuatu in the future I think we will get him a gift.
