I’m not even sure what to say… spooky, weird, off putting… I came here cause the reviews seemed okay and the location was near to the airport. I just needed a place to relax for a few hours and shower after a long day before departing on a late flight out of Entebbe. They charged me the full rate first of all, there was absolutely no other guest that I saw and all the staff seemed off somehow. Nice enough but almost surprised I was even there. The room was so old and the whole place just seemed so dated and almost like a relic. I kept thinking the whole time, am I in the Shining! It was the weirdest hotel experience of my life and I’ve stayed all over the world from hostels to five star hotels…

Clean, well maintained, bug-free, and excellent service. We stayed here at the beginning and end of our trip. We originally planned to stay somewhere else at the end of our trip which ended up being infested with spiders, so we changed hotels and returned here knowing that it was clean and practically bug-free rooms. Everyone is very friendly and the restaurant is excellent. Convenient to airport with free airport shuttle. Highly recommended!

The staff was excellent, the food was excellent and the room bug free,clean and comfortable. We had free transportation to and from the airport. We stayed here at the beginning of our trip and end. I want to thank the staff for all there hard work.

Clean rooms, convenient location, and excellent service by the staff. We stayed as a large groups, and the staff members were so accommodating with airport shuttle transfer, special dietary requests, currency, early check-in, and luggage storage. The best place to stay on layover in Entebbe.

This hotel is SO BEAUTIFUL!! A hidden gem! Very close to the airport, the grounds are absolutely stunning!! 😍 The staff is unbelievably friendly and accommodating! Whether you're on the rooftop bar for dinner or enjoying a cocktail, it's the perfect place to visit while traveling. Clean rooms, fully stocked restaurant and bar, delicious food (both African and Western options) and attentive, friendly staff. It far exceeded our expectations! And if you're looking for a gorilla trek experience while you're in Uganda, I HIGHLY recommend Engabi Tours (see review) and the Four Gorillas Lodge (which can be booked through Engabi Tours).

Best value for a short stay in Entebbe before or after your flight. I stayed there in October 2021 and I was super happy with my decision. The staff is always ready to help. They made sure I was comfortable. The rooms are very clean, spacious, with functioning aircon and mosquito net. There is clean towel, hot water, good wifi. There were bottled water, instant coffee and tea in the room. Equipped with all the necessities. Very quiet and serene hotel, best for relaxing before your flight. Prices are reasonable. They also give you a free ride to the airport, this is included in the price you pay, which is a great value-add for international travelers. The hotel is very close to the airport. I would strongly recommend AVH Hotel to anyone travelling to Kampala/Entebbe.
