The service is top notch throughout the hotel! The beds are very comfortable, and it’s close to everything in Ennis! The Poets Corner has great music with Blackie O’Connell and Siobhan Peoples, on the weekends! The food in the pub is very good as well!

Wonderful staff, service, rooms and food. I would not stay anywhere else in Ennis. It’s close to all pubs, restaurants and shops. But I must say there is an incredible pub, “The Poets Corner”, at the Old Grounds Hotel. Oh and the lobby of the hotel is cozy, charming and exactly what you would want from a historical Irish hotel.

This is a lovely hotel.Our room and shower unit was exactly as we requested.The food in both the bar and TownHall restaurant was excellent.We had a cooked breakfast each morning which was very good.The staff were very helpful and always polite and friendly.No Television in the bar or lounge which ensures a great buzz around the bar area.

A well fitted out fine hotel right in the centre of Ennis. Staff are friendly attentive and efficient and are well aware of the hotel's reputation. Good car park too. We were looked after and food was excellent. Very convenient location within strolling distance of shops and restaurants in the pedestrianised streets.

Tip top hotel … beautiful old building , great location, yummy breakfast..all at a fair price , lovely staff…nothing too much trouble . The bar was comfortable and charming…… book it .. you won’t regret it!…wished we could have stayed for longer !!!

The Old Ground hotel was perfect. Classic, stately and very friendly - right down to the resident cat at the front doors. It’s across from an old church with (soft) bell chimes, and right on the quaint downtown streets of old Ennis. You can walk anywhere. The breakfast room is beautiful, the bar is exceptional and classic and the dining room was wonderfully decorated with good meals. We would heartily recommend staying at TOG!

We stayed as a family of 9 recently for a 60th birthday party.Linda at reception was very welcoming .Our rooms were lovely and quiet, birthday plate was added to one room, a nice touch.The staff in Town Hall were so friendly and service and food were top notch.Breakfast next morning was lovely, love a menu to choose from.We were prob the last to leave the dining room, but no rush was put on us.The hotel is in town, free car parking onsite until checkout, located in town so we could shop till we dropped.

This hotel is a bit mixed up. The food was great at breakfast and dinner. However the 2 rooms we were shown were old and in desperate need of a makeover. We refused the first room but accepted the second as they said they were full. The rooms hadn't been cleaned properly and the bathroom had a lot of mould growing. The sanitary wear was chipped and looks very uninviting. Would not recommend and would not stay again. My husband visited as a child in the late 60s and had fond memories. We were both disappointed.
