I had a frustrating experience at Queens Hotel. Despite receiving an email confirmation stating that no deposit was required, I was shocked to find out at check-in that I had to pay a €150 deposit per room which was ending up costing me €300 because I had 2 rooms booked. Despite my attempts to explain the email agreement, the receptionist was rude and unhelpful, refusing to acknowledge the situation. This left me in a difficult position at 8 PM, forcing me to scramble for another hotel. The lack of professionalism and communication was frustrating, and I cannot recommend this hotel based on my experience.

Avoid this filthy hotel. Upon checking in (which is after 4pm???????) we had to immediately swap rooms as the bathroom was absolutely filthy, mould on the ceilings and walls, shower head filthy, shower curtain rusty and flaking. We were given a different room which was better, however upon further inspection the room was also filthy. Under beds, skirting boards and corners haven’t been cleaned in ages. Not worth the money being paid. Obviously this hotel is in business because of the hen and stag crowd who only need a bed for the night.

Went in for lunch with friends while visiting the area. Was not overly busy when we arrived we sat ordered and was nothing out of the ordinary staff service was average nothing spectacular. Food was good well presented and average priced. Atmosphere was not completely relaxed but not overly busy just so so.

Hotel is run down and there are no words to describe how ignorant the receptionist is. Shouted down the phone, kept speaking me over me and then hung. Booked a night for my sister through Lidl breaks. The amount due on arrival was €105. Receptionist charged €125. Breakfast was included and receptionist told my sister that the hotel does not include breakfast in their bookings. For a quiet life my sister did not argue and did not have breakfast. I contacted the hotel and politely informed the receptionist that the hotel made an error and asked for the €20 that was over charged and the cost of the breakfast which was paid for and not provided to be refunded. The receptionist refused to take any responsibility, no apology, shouted down the phone and told me that the hotel would not refund the money. I was in shock. I asked for the manager and apparently this’ll hotel does not have a manager and she claimed she was in charge. I have never in my life experienced the disrespect and down right ignorance from someone working in hospitality. It is clear that the hotel over charged and the decent thing is to apologise and refund the money. Hotel itself is run down and coupled with been overcharged and verbally abused by the staff I would recommend staying anywhere but here.

First impressions were ok. Definitely not worth the price we paid the rooms are very basic ,and plastic cups for tea and coffee. Bed was uncomfortable too. We stayed on a Saturday night but be aware you won’t get any sleep with the night club directly below. Music blasting until 2:30am in the morning, people shouting .4 hours sleep is no good! Then the noise of people vomiting after the night club had finished disgusting. Safe to say we won’t be back any time soon.

I advise you not to set foot in that hotel. The worst people in the world work there. I made the reservation for my group leader , the hotel told me that she had to have a credit card to secure the deposit at no time did they tell me that it had to be the physical card, my group leader arrived at 1 in the morning, the flight was very late They asked her for the card and she took it out on her cell phone, they told her that it was not worth it, they have a data phone that has to be from the last century, my monitor offered the deposit in cash and they told her no, it had to be with a card , and since she didn't have a card she had to go out into the street. It was 1:30 in the morning, the street was full of drunks, all the hotels were full, and the reservation had been made correctly. And she has a credit card. One of her workers, "very nice," gave him her phone number and told her that if he didn't find anyplace to stay he would let her sleep in his car. What good people!! in a car!! He has no shame! They called other hotels and knew that there were no rooms anywhere and they would not let her stay in the hotel having the room she had reserved. What kind of people allow a 25 year old girl to stay on the street with no place to sleep? With the travel bag..., What kind of people offer her car to sleep? Are we crazy or what's wrong? They are the worst people in the world, without scruples. I have no words to describe that type of people, what disgusting behavior!!!

Stayed for one night. It was fine, no complaints about the room, it was clean, the bed was comfortable, it was warm, the shower was good but it was basic. Basic is fine and all we needed, however I don't believe the price is basic at €129 for room only.

This was a very comfortable and recently renovated hotel. Not very luxurious, but absolutely fine. The staff were really excellent and the service was very good. However, I would have to say that being asked for a deposit, and then being made to stand for five minutes while someone checked my room before my deposit was returned, was a huge insult. Also, experienced by my fellow musicians who were staying there. We are in the older age group and stay all over the country in many places. We have never experienced this extremely misplaced badly chosen policy. The management should definitely look at this problem and make sure the guests are treated with respect. There should be instinct about who is respectable or not! It would make me query staying there again. Pity because it is a very simple and perfectly OK Hotel.

Like all hotels in Ireland you have to adapt. the room is quite clean, the window looked out onto an internal courtyard. the room was noisy, the bathroom passable but definitely not comfortable. Breakfast was organized in the bar under the hotel and I must say it was excellent, the pub under the hotel was nice.
