I stayed at the hotel by myself for a business trip. In the evening while using the shower, I closed the bathroom door and the door lock fell in. The door did not open again from the inside. After 20 minutes of slamming on the walls and crying out for help, the receptionist finally came in and managed to easily open the bathroom door from the outside. The receptionist responded very sarcastically and unimpressed, simply stating that 'next time don't close your bathroom door' as if it were my own fault. No empathy or hospitality at all. Would not recommend. Before this occurred I'd asked the hotel (1 week in advance) to help arrange a taxi or transport to another location, the lady answering was very unhelpful said it was not possible and gave no alternative solutions. Overal, outdated hotel with tactless staff...

Vriendelijke ontvangst, royale kamer met een piepkleine badkamer. Mooie parkeerplaats. Het ontbijt viel erg tegen voor 4 sterren. Croissants en eitjes waren op, maar werden wel bijgevuld, al duurde dat even. Broodbeleg was uitgebreid, maar wel van goedkope kwaliteit. De fruitsla was uit blik. Miste zalm en gebakken eieren of scrambled egg. Alleen een hardgekookt eitje. Jammer! Verder was het beleg jam en pindakaas uit kleine aluminium aftrek bakjes. Wel weer aardig, dat we de auto langer op het terras mochten laten staan omdat we later uit Enkhuizen vertrokken.

Good location very close to old town. Check in relatively easy. Room is very spacious. Breakfast also provided. However, I believe hotel used to be great looking (with its 4 stars rating) but seems already past its glory days. Oldish and tired looking. Amenities in room so so and room temperature hard to adjust even with its thermostat and air-con. Iron and ironing board only available outside the room with one set at each floor. Service at the desk can be improved to make people feel more welcomed and provide help when necessary. Breakfast spread stayed exactly the same every single day. Unfortunately no warm food. A decent one to stay but the place could do a round of upgrading.

De kamer was brandschoon, Van te voren beetje sceptisch, ook vanwege de foto's waarop het allemaal wat oud en smoezelig leek. Maar het was echt allemaal brandschoon en dan maakt het oudbollige niets meer uit. Ontbijt was allemaal erg vers en lekker! Locatie is ook fijn, op loopafstand zit je zo aan de kust! Erg fijn verblijf gehad.
