Engelberg is the land of angels. Tranquility and beauty are the main features of this place. A hotel in Switzerland for more than 2,000 RMB. Don't expect many choices for breakfast. The room and bedding are clean. It's a short walk from the station and supermarket. Hiking is convenient. Overall good.

The room is about 7 minutes' walk from Engelberg train station. The hotel is located halfway up the mountain, about 120 meters uphill. The room decoration is quite standard, neither new nor old. The hotel is showing its age. A modernized reception and dining room cannot disguise the fact that there is a backlog of investment. The price-performance ratio of the half-board is not correct. A canteen-like dinner for CHF 66 is clearly too expensive. The rooms could at least use a new coat of paint.

Das Hotel Bänklialp oberhalb von Engelberg ist wunderschön gelegen. Die öffentlichen Bereiche sind sehr stylisch/authentisch - gefällt sehr gut. Die Zimmer urchig, grosszügig und sauber - wie man sich das in den Bergen vorstellt. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich. Frühstücks-Buffet typisch Schweiz - sehr lecker! Empfehle das Hotel durchaus weiter!
