Days Inn by Wyndham Encinitas Moonlight Beach

Days Inn by Wyndham Encinitas Moonlight Beach

📍 133 Encinitas Blvd, Encinitas
★★ 7.2 (106 reviews)

"Days Inn has both advantages and disadvantages advantage: The location is very convenient. It's a 10-minute walk to Moonlight Beach and Encinitas Coaster Station. There are many restaurants and a large supermarket across the street. Breakfast is served every day (although it is the same simple breakfast every day, including red apples), hot tea and hot coffee are available 24 hours a day The room is fully equipped with all the necessities, including a coffee maker, refrigerator, and microwave. There is also a small swimming pool Front desk staff was friendly The price is relatively low in the local small hotel, the cost performance is very high shortcoming: The facilities are outdated, and the cabinets are falling off wood chips The room is relatively small The most important thing to improve is the bed sheet, it looks really old, so I just want to sleep with my clothes on I didn't see the cockroaches that I was worried about before leaving, but the guy at the front desk said they were also working hard to get rid of them."

The Encinitan Hotel & Suites

📍 85 Encinitas Blvd, Encinitas
★★★ 8.3 (105 reviews)

"The location is okay, up in the mountains. You can drive directly up. It's about a ten-minute walk from the hotel to a street with plenty of food options. A little further on, you can reach the beach. The room facilities were a bit damp; there's room for improvement."

Brisa Pacific Hotel Encinitas

Brisa Pacific Hotel Encinitas

📍 410 N Coast Hwy 101, Encinitas
★★ 8.4 (101 reviews)

"Located next to the train tracks this somewhat shabby hotel is definitely thin on amenities and would be more of a 3 star range in regards to condition of the room, quality of the comfort of the beds, and overall feel of the place. It’s got a rundown sort of feel and needs a serious updating"

Comfort Inn Encinitas Near Legoland ★★
"AVOID!!! The elevator is broken, the hotel is extremely close to the freeway, we saw 2 homeless people living at the hotel, the TV did not work and the phones also do not work in the room. I tried to call the front desk and ask why the water was turned off at 10am while we were showering and brushing teeth for Legoland. I walked down and said the phones are broken. I was met with the hotel manager Everet, with a big fake smile that said “I just picked up and you wouldn’t say anything so I hung up.” Seriously? You’re trying to lie to my face about your phones not working?!? I knew at this point I was up against a monster of a hotel manager. I said the water was shut off and no one in my room could brush their teeth or flush the toilet. He said “What am I supposed to do about it?” I said “You’re a hotel manager and you provide customer service.” His response was, “I do not work in customer service.” Again, I couldn’t believe the conversation I was having. I asked him for some water, and he said he could not give me any. I pointed to the 500 bottles of water in the snack area and asked for 1 so we could at least brush our teeth and give our kids some water. His response was “No”. This is the same hotel manager I witnessed talking very rude to a female front desk clerk the day before. I then spoke with a few other hotel workers about this man and they all agreed that he has a lot of problems. They said everyone quits working there after a few days…wonder why. They’ve been trying to renovate this hotel since 2017 apparently."

The Encinitan Hotel & Suites ★★★
"Checked in with Jeff very easy yet not very personable. Amenities extra $15/day even if you’re not using. Gym pool spa internet parking buffet breakfast. No disability parking in front door entrance only back (which was to far away from room) no help offered with luggage (only self service heavy push carts) Did not ask if I wanted help or if I was going to utilize these amenities. Room smelled of heavy use chemicals to clean room. (Could taste it). Ocean view claim with balcony was actually only seen if you walked and peered to the left. Bed not the most comfortable. Exit room door would slam at night very loud. Walk in tile shower floor slippery while showering and shower head had very low pressure."

Alila Marea Beach Resort Encinitas ★★★★★
"The location is half an hour's drive from SD. If you are a nearby resident, it would be more suitable for a vacation. The hotel facilities are relatively new, but there are few surrounding supporting facilities. It is suitable for lounging in the hotel. The beach and other entertainment facilities are also average. This is the only hotel in the United States that can It's alila if you're bringing children. It's not recommended to bring children. There's not much to do."

Inn at Moonlight Beach ★★★★
"We stayed in the Full Moon "Oceanview" Suite for four nights. We found the room to be functional for our needs but not the tranquil, peaceful, serene space described on the website. Spiders, spider webs, paper thin walls / floors, and blaring horns from passing trains every 20 minutes are not part of my definition of peaceful or serene. Then there's the random oddities in the room such as the smallest non-cruiseship bathtub/shower in history, the bathroom sink that's higher than my belly button (I'm 5'11" 190 lbs), a pocket door that cannot be closed with human fingers if opened all the way and difficult to open once closed all the way, poor touchup paint on walls and ceiling, partially painted bathroom door frame, and stains on the towels. Then there's the "oceanview" which consists of a thin sliver of ocean off in the distance that can only be seen after looking across two major roads, several buildings, the train tracks, and a web of powerlines. Lastly, the customer service...in four days we had zero interactions with hotel staff outside of turning in our key to leave. I got a "thanks." Im struggling to understand where the description of this wellness retreat comes from. Definitely not our experience. If we're being honest with ourselves, this is a normal house probably built in the early 70's that was then converted into a hotel by good intended and well connected owners that were new to hospitality. When it comes to pricing, as someone who is relatively well traveled, this place should not be priced over $250 per night, high season. From my perspective, that price would align more closely with the quality of experience. I regret not doing more research on this place before booking our stay. Why didnt we leave? We were in Encinitas for an elective surgery hoping for healing and wellness. The idea of switching hotels the day after major surgery was not an option. Buyer beware!"
