Enakyo Onsen Hotel Yuzuriha ★★★
"Great view and next to the gorge. Nice service and spacious room."
Kokumin Shukusha Enasansou ★★
"I followed the navigation system's instructions from Magome to Ena Sanso. It was fine until I got to Chukyo Gakuin University, but after that, the mountain road became winding and dark, making for a worrying journey. Finally, I came to a section of the mountain road that was overgrown with trees and only wide enough for one car to pass, where a roadblock was posted. The road might have collapsed. I had no choice but to call Ena Sanso, and they said they would come down the other way to pick me up. I was worried they were taking so long to come, but they finally did. "Are those snow tires?" I asked, and I thought, "What?!" It took more than 20 minutes, with the lodge's car leading the way, but I finally arrived at Ena Sanso. The road was narrow and covered in snow, so I had to drive slowly around the curves for safety. The altitude is 900 meters. I was grateful that they took the time to pick me up and treated me so well, even though I was the only guest."
Ooedo Onsen Monogatari Premium Enakyo ★★★
"The food and beverage selection was excellent, the ingredients were of high quality, the rooms were comfortable, and the views were superb."
Hotel Route-Inn Ena ★★★
"It's about 15 minutes from Ena Station, so it's inconvenient to get there by train. If you have a car, I think it's a convenient location. I stayed in a single room, and there was breakfast and a large public bath, so I was able to relax. I think the price is on the cheaper side."
Hotel R9 the Yard Ena ★★★
"I used this hotel for work. It's perfectly fine for a solo traveler. It's close to Ena Station, so finding places to eat and shop is easy."
Iwamura Guest House Yanagiya ★★★
"This place is so beautiful, traditional style rooms and sliding doors, lots of natural wood. It felt like I was in a luxury hotel! The woman who ran in was so kind and friendly, I loved my stay here. I stayed here to hike a portion of the Nakasendo Way- Magome to Tsumago. It’s not close, you have to go to take like 2 or 3 transits to get there, I think it was like 2 hours to get there if I remember. It’s an old, traditional Japanese village- the buildings are really cool. There wasn’t much going on though while I was there, not many restaurants open. I ended up stocking up on food from 7/11 in Ena or Nakatsugawa I think it was to take back with me because there aren’t any stores like that in Iwamura that I found. You can get cash out from the ATM at the post office. This was a very peaceful place and a cool insight into a non-touristy area of Japanese life. Would definitely recommend this accommodation."
Iwamurasansou ★★★
HOTEL R9 The Yard Enabekkan ★★★
"I have stayed here many times and very impressed. Good advice, good service, close to many convenience stores."
