War als Busfahrer mit einer Seniorengruppe im Landhotel Wachau. Es war vom feinsten. Reibungsloser Check in. Das Abenessen der Hammer. Am Salatbuffet lauwarmer Kartoffelsalat, ich muss schlucken wenn ich daran denke. Natürlich auch alles andere Essen Schmackhaft und mit Liebe gekocht. Bravo. Der Chefkellner und seine beiden Kollegen ein Dreamteam. Die sehen wirklich alles. Das Frühstück sensationell vielfältig und toll angerichtet. Sogar eine Saftpresse für frischen O-Saft durfte nicht fehlen. Die Zimmer absolut barierefrei, begehbare Dusche, Masagebett und genau die richtige Größe. Blitzblank sauber. Dafür 6****** Sterne wie für das ganze Haus. Als Zuckerl für meine Gruppe gabs von der super netten Chefin eine Schloßführung im hauseigenen Schloß. Klasse. Ich kann sagen. Das war Gastlichkeit auf höchstem Niveau. Da fährst du mit zufriedenen Fahrgästen nach Hause. Macht weiter so. Gerade in der jetzigen Zeit. Nochmals vielen Dank für den wunderschönen Aufenthalt. Wir waren hier anlässlich einer Hochzeit für zwei Tage in einem Deluxe Doppelzimmer und sind mit unserem Aufenthalt sehr zufrieden. Besonders positiv zu betonen sind das ruhige Zimmer, trotz unmittelbarer Nähe zur Donau Straße, und die Deckenkühlung.

This was by far the most expensive accommodation on our bike trip and the worst. We chose it partly because of the advertised playground- which turned out to be an old sandpit with two broken toys next to a pile of dirt. The receptionist knew nothing about the hotel or surrounding area. The bed for the children was an uncomfortable fold out couch. The location isn’t good - it’s on the wrong side of the river to see the sites and go to restaurants. The room was nicely renovated but the hotel common areas were a bit shabby.

Das Landhotel Wachau liegt neben Donau- und Landstraße etwas außerhalb der nächsten Gemeinde. In der Distanz sieht man Stift Melk. Auch wenn Lift- und Stiegenhaus etwas in die Jahre gekommen sind, das Zimmer war geschmackvoll und eingerichtet und großzügig geschnitten, ebenso das Badezimmer. Die Wachauer Fotomotive passen sehr gut dazu. Auch das Restaurant hat ein sehr gutes Angebot und das Personal war sehr freundlich. Trotz Nähe zur Straße ist es ausgesprochen ruhig. Das Preisleistungsverhältnis war voll gerechtfertigt.
