This is NOT a motel to stay at. Started with being told i would have a lock box code to be sent to me after a long day at work. It was a Sunday afternoon - no code was sent and could not reach anyone on the phone. Stood on the side of the road for an hour - absolutely frustrated. Finally got into my room to find a tap was free running in the bathroom and 1/4 roll of toilet paper. Bed was rubbish and black mould in the shower. 3 days later...tap still free running and absolutely no toilet paper - even when they advertise they service the room every 2nd day. (Note my day starts at 4am and ends at 6pm). No one around to advise. Wasn't clean and remotes don't work. This place has nothing going for it. Don't waste your time. Stay somewhere else. I will never stay here again.

Had a wonderful time staying here. The beds are comfortable and the staff are very friendly. They go out of their way to ensure you have a nice stay. Emerald is a nice town too with beautiful cotton fields on the outskirts. Looking forward to our next visit :)

The place has just been sold so staff were thin on the ground and the place was in need of some serious TLC. Not withstanding this the staff that were available were fantastic, the rooms were clean, albeit they were missing some basics like dishcloth etc and we were competing with ants for a place at the sink. The pool was disgustingly filthy and had not been cleaned for a while. We used it out of necessity, but not one of us was game to put our heads under. The place has a lot of potential and I hope the new owners turn it back into something special.

The hotel has a lot of work going on. But maybe they need to consider closing off a few rooms at a time and completing the work. The walls had been painted at some stage, no new paint smell, but paint splatter all over the carpet. The power went off just after rising: no kettle, no heating, no TV. Did the front desk care. No, too busy with their mobile phone. Finally found a workman who checked the fuse board and fixed the problem. He indicated fuses were flicking frequently. Another guest indicated they had put up with half their circuits out for 2 days. A long time since we had a single bar radiator on the wall for heating. Aircon only provided cooling. Very basic, budget property, over priced.

Go somewhere else to stay. No meal service No room service, didn’t make up the bed, or put out clean towels or empty rubbish bins. Couldn’t have a shower before going out to tea as no water Rooms are dirty. Fan in bathroom absolutely disgusting dirty. Mould on glasses in fridge. Towels have holes them. Managers are unorganised and seem like they’re either on ***** or drunk. Repeat: run, do not stay here.

Booked 3 rooms back in June 2022 @ $85 per room for an overnight stay in September owner took $360 from my account this was not the agreed price he was not available on site and there was no breakfast as advertised & Restaurant was closed. Contacted him a few times regarding this he didn’t care at all had told a few fibs re the breakfast. Don’t stay here not a very well run place & the company in Brisbane didn’t care less either personally were all staying away from this Hotel chain 👎

While I cannot complain about the price, some issues are entirely inexcusable no matter what the budget. I stayed one night with my two teenaged sons in what is advertised on the hotel's own website as a 'two-bedroom suite'. What we received was two very traditional and basic interconnecting hotel rooms - separate entry doors/keys/room numbers with an interconnecting internal door. One room had a double bed, the other a double plus a single and each had a bathroom. There was NO common area, no couch or sitting area and no table with chairs in either room - hence this is not a 'suite'. Two interconnecting rooms do NOT constitute a 'two-bedroom suite' and these rooms individually are NOT 'suites' by anyone's definitions (except for this hotel, apparently). This is false advertising let alone having been extremely disappointing to discover upon arrival. I did confirm with the Manager upon our checkout that our rooms were, in fact, what is advertised as a 'two-bedroom suite' - he said "Yep - You were in it". Unfortunately, he was wholly unconcerned and unapologetic when I explained the above. Furthermore, the cleanliness of the rooms was appalling. One bathroom was literally covered in hundreds if not thousands of insects (truly, a horror show - I have photos to prove it). The windows were fully closed and this was an infestation which clearly had not 'just' occurred. The insects covered the sink, walls, towels hanging on the rails and windows on the inside. They even created a fully black layer floating in the toilet. Because we arrived late we could not complain that night and literally closed the door and only used the bathroom in the other room. Otherwise, there were cobwebs/spiderwebs in every corner and along the ceilings, behind rubbish bins, etc. A further issue was the advertised complimentary continental breakfast. We were told it began at 8am. I was there promptly at 8am as I had a work meeting at 8:30am. The rooms were locked with no sign of any activity. After waiting a few minutes, I found a contractor who was apparently doing roof repairs and he indicated he would ring the Manager as he was also waiting for his breakfast. A few minutes later, still nothing. I walked out to reception which was meant to be open but no one was present. Another minute and finally the Manager showed up. When I asked about the late breakfast he showed me his phone to indicate it had only been "a few minutes" (almost 8:10am by then). No apologies offered, even when I let him know I had an 8:30am meeting. He walked us back to the breakfast area and opened the doors. I asked if someone was preparing something and he just showed us a counter with individually wrapped cereal packets and some loaves of bread, and then told us milk was in the fridge. We were clearly first and the counter tops were absolutely filthy - crumbs everywhere and ants (this is Queensland) - so that was obviously all from the day before and no one had cleaned at all. All told, these are ent
