My three-night stay at Ella Ayubo BNB was nothing short of exceptional. From the breathtaking views to the comfortable rooms and superb breakfast, every aspect of my experience exceeded expectations.Located just 1 km away from the bustling city of Ella, the BNB offers a serene escape with its picturesque surroundings. The view from the property is truly breathtaking, providing the perfect backdrop for relaxation and rejuvenation.The room I stayed in was not only comfortable but also thoughtfully designed, ensuring a restful night's sleep after a day of exploring the wonders of Ella. The attention to detail in the room's amenities and decor was evident, adding to the overall ambiance of comfort and luxury.One of the highlights of my stay was the breakfast served at the BNB. It was simply superb, with a variety of delicious options to choose from. What's the most important thing in traveling? It is of course a high-quality accommodation for the hotel control.
The EKHO hotel is on the edge of Eller town, not far from the main street, making it easy to travel. The characteristics of a good hotel are: clean, quiet, comfortable and modern, rich breakfast, and warm staff. Seems very ordinary ... However, isn't it very unusual to encounter a hotel without regret during the trip.

1. No air conditioning, the room is very humid, the bed is cold and wet
2. Integrity hotel construction knocks at the door of the room early in the morning
3. The room is very not soundproof. The hotel and the scenic spot share the road from reception to the room. There is also a traffic jam. Various tuk tuk passing outside the room. It is the horn and the engine roar. Very noisy.

GGuest UserThis is a wonderful place. I received the best advice on how to spend my days in Ella as well as enjoying some super breakfasts just a few yards from the centre of Ella. The owner was incredibly helpful, even organising a laundry service for me with a 24 hour turnaround. It’s also worth asking if you want to book a car to take you to your next destination. The son of the owner runs a long distance taxi service and took me to both Haputale and to Dickwella in the south for very reasonable rates.

GGuest UserExceptional service from the owner who couldn’t do enough for us. We enjoyed delicious dinner and food at breakfast too. He arranged a tuc tuc for us to go sightseeing and a trip to the local tea farm. Our room was comfortable and overlooked the beautiful countryside. I would recommend.

GGuest UserWe have stayed in a family room for one night on a busy long weekend & wished we could stay longer there. With the narrow approach road & parking, which is common to the Ella area, we had doubts , but the owner Mr Manjula & his staff were attentive & had solutions to the comfort of every guest with no hazzle. Food was very tasty & served on time & though the place was full we were welcome any time with good sevice even at short notice. Room with Beddings & Bath were clean & nice and had enough space. View from the room balcony of Ella rock was pleasing & with greenery around, the birds were a plenty with their songs. Though it was a short stay, with their little input from staff we could use the time well & visited the surrounding attractions & it was time well spent. All in all we really enjoyed our stay & so a big Thank you to Rock side Inn.

This hotel trades off the views which are undoubtedly quite lovely. My room was clean, and bed very comfortable. Overall, this is all very acceptable and the staff are excessively helpful and attentive which can't be faulted. The location is very good albeit up a steep hill from the main street thronging with restaurants. There are some challenges that would, otherwise, make this a luxury experience... selecting TV channels on the two remotes is clunky; there is no chair in the room other than a beanbag, so lounging on the bed is the only option; there's no luggage stand, so leaving open luggage on the floor is not ideal with occasional creepy crawlies around; the light switch is not within reach of the bed; the hot water for the shower never gets beyond tepid which is ok given the hot weather; shower gel and soap is limited to one small plastic bottle and a tiny hand soap which doesn't compare to modern luxury hotels offering refillable shower and hand gel; drinking water is limited to two small bottles during your stay unless you ask for more (they are very accommodating). So, while this independent hotel is lovely and welcoming, and a cut above most local options in Ella, it's not quite a polished luxury experience if that's what you're expecting. Overall I'd recommend Hotel Onrock as a great Ella option though.

GGrovesI have to admit, we absolutely loved our stay here. The people were so accommodating and friendly. The location is on a steep hill, most cars won't make it up but walking down and up takes about 5 minutes or a tub tuk can get you there. The view is amazing and worth the walk. It's so close to the main road and close to main attractions (about 20min walk) the room was comfortable, warm, clean. The breakfast was some fruit, with eggs made according to your choice, some toast and they even let us try the coconut pancakes which were so yummy. Everything was amazing. We were so happy there and will definitely stay there again.

GGuest UserThe views from the room here are just like that on the website. It was great to sit out on the balcony enjoying a beer (available at the hotel) after a days walking. We wish we could have stayed longer. No air conditioning but fans available which was absolutely fine. They prepared an early breakfast for us before our train to Kandy. The town is just a short stroll along the railway track from the main part of town and the station.

For the location, it is next to the city centre so there are many restaurant nearby and there are many options that we can choose. However, the hotel is difficult to find and hair dryer, body wash and shampoo are not provided.
