As positive points: - the hosts are very nice people and willing to help. As negative points: -the location is far from the center. You need a car and the roads are dirt. They are not very safe for the car. - the place is clean but very modest. The rooms are very small and the bathroom uncomfortable. The shower has a plastic curtain and is very uncomfortable to take a shower after an intense day of walking. - stoneware floor and cold room.

Very nice hotel 15 minutes from the center, very kind owners, Santiago made himself available to help us organize some excursions (spending less than what was offered by the agencies at the airport) while his mother prepares excellent cakes for breakfast. I recommend it very much

Lovely homely hotel within walking distance of the bus (which was handy as we arrived very late at night). Despite the late time the owners were super helpful and welcoming. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious and the owner offered to bring me a hairdryer when I came out with wet hair (not necessary but the offer was kind).

If I could I would give it more stars! I highlight the beauty of its facilities, the cleanliness, but above all the warmth of its attention! They make you feel like family, their owners serve you like Kings! Their breakfasts are homemade!! Exquisite! They make everything, sweets, cakes, real natural juices, jams! Truly luxurious! The good heated rooms, the garden with its wooden tables and armchairs, and the views of Lake Argentino, make this Hosteria the best place to stay!

What a lovely stay we had at Hosteria Rukahue! This small hotel gives us the feeling of being at home, with a super welcoming family owning the hotel. The only negative thing is the lack of soundproofing between the rooms, but otherwise a perfect stay. We recommand this hotel warmly!

Everything perfect and safe for families with children. Everything was very beautiful and the breakfast was unparalleled. The reception staff are top notch. Incredible experience, we will return to the hostel soon. My family and I love it.

I have been traveling the world for 10 years and by far this has been the best little hotel where I have stayed, they really treated me like at home since the owners of the place are the ones who run this place. The very rich breakfast and the bread they serve is prepared by Adriana (the owner) who, in addition to being an excellent host, is an excellent cook. My tour left earlier than the time they serve breakfast, and they were so kind that they prepared a Box lunch for me to take with me. The location of the place is very good, since it is close to the lake and the center. There is a very comfortable room where after an exhausting day of tours you can spend relaxing time watching TV or reading books (which are available for everyone). Definitely if I return to Calafate, I will stay here again. Special thanks to Mrs. Adriana who gave me a beautiful poem that now adorns the living room of my house!!

The Hosteria Rukahue is an excelent hotel in El Calafate. The rooms are spacious and cleaned daily. The hotel staff is extremely helpful and the breakfasts were great. If I ever return to El Calafate, I shall stay at the Hosteria Rukahue again.
