📍 Tassiriki Park, Port Vila

"Honestly, for the price, it wasn't worth it at all. It was very average."

Grand Hotel & Casino ★★★★

📍 7857+4J8, Kumul Hwy, Port Vila

"We had a one night stay. The staff were all friendly and helpful. We used the foyer and outside areas which were clean and comfortable, as was our room. Highly recommend!"

The Melanesian Port Vila
8.3 (57 reviews)

The Melanesian Port Vila ★★★

📍 25 Rue Picarde, Kumul Hwy, Port Vila

"The room was okay, but the facilities were quite old. Breakfast was a bit simple, considering the price. There's a Chinese restaurant across the street. Book the airport shuttle bus early: VUV is 1500 per person, and taxi is 2500 per car."

Lagoon Gardens
8.5 (44 reviews)

Lagoon Gardens ★★★

📍 787Q+HR7, Teouma Road, Port Vila

"Our friend drove us to the hotel in the evening. Because it was dark and raining, we couldn't see the signs and ended up at the restaurant next door. We called the restaurant, and hotel staff came right away and showed us to our room. The room was spacious and clean, and the bedding was nice. Air conditioning is an extra charge. The breakfast location was great; we enjoyed our coffee while admiring the view."

South Pacific Memories
9.6 (34 reviews)

South Pacific Memories ★★★

📍 Angelfish Cove Road, Pango, Port Vila, Efate

"Beautiful oceanfront setting with relaxing and peaceful atmosphere. Hosts Ann and Petter welcoming and helpful, offering plenty of local insights. In-house chef Andreas provides fresh and healthy dinners. A little remote but easy to commute to town via local buses. Expanse of beach and reef to explore right out the front (hosts provide expert guidance and equipment as required). Well tended native garden, comfortable and very clean facilities with excellent and attentive staff. Would definitely stay again."

Nasama Resort
8.4 (112 reviews)

Nasama Resort ★★★★

📍 Pango Rd, Port Vila

"The room is more like the primitive era, with a very small swimming pool and close to the sea. The sound of sea breeze and waves is very loud at night, making it difficult to sleep. There were a lot of small black bugs on the bed, and the red bumps on my arms that I had bitten after staying there for one night have not gone away for a week... I asked the hotel to check out early the next day, but the hotel didn't agree, so I had to bear the one-night room fee. I changed to other hotels and the experience was very bad! Not recommended for everyone to live here."

Mangoes Resort
8.6 (60 reviews)

Mangoes Resort ★★★★

📍 785F+F3Q, Rue De Wales, Port Vila

"The location was good and close to the main part of the town a sort 7 minute ride by car. Unfortunately the accommodation was not as the pictures had shown on their website, the rooms and decor were very tired looking and dated, the bathroom and toilet were run down and needed a refurbishment. The gym could only be accessed though a construction site and the 13 pools that were advertised on their resort app were no where to be found, I would not recommend staying at this resort."

"The pictures definitely don't match the reality. We stayed in the hibiscus studio, that is basically a bed inside a kitchen. The casa mia restaurant is good."

Lagoon Gardens ★★★
"Cleanliness: I was initially a little worried seeing the 4.1 rating, but the room was actually quite nice upon arrival. The bed was about 1.5 meters wide, very clean, and there was a sofa bed. The room had a kettle, refrigerator, microwave, and what appeared to be a toaster, etc. Water and milk were provided in the refrigerator. Although we didn't use most of it, it was still quite a surprise. The bathroom was also quite clean, but they didn't provide disposable items, a hairdryer, shampoo, or shower gel. Because our first night in Port Vila was terrible, and we later stayed at White Grass on Tanna Island, even though we knew the local environment was limited, both hotels inevitably had insects in the rooms. But Lagoon Gardens was really good; the room was spacious, and we didn't find any insects. The price was less than 500 RMB, which was very reasonable. Environment: The hotel is built next to a lagoon, so you can have breakfast facing the lagoon in the morning, which is quite pleasant. The hotel is surrounded by a lot of greenery, and the environment is very nice. Service: The staff were very friendly and offered a drop-off service for 3000 VAT, slightly more expensive than a taxi (2800 VAT). Buses come quickly from the doorstep; if you're not in a hurry, you can wait for the bus for 150 VAT per person (we also flagged down a local driver who offered a ride for 2000 VAT, just for your reference). Location: The location isn't exactly in the city center, but it's not far either. It's about 20 minutes to the airport and about 10 minutes to the city center. WiFi: Our room had WiFi coverage, and we didn't experience any issues with the network."

"Don't stay here! I arrived at 6pm on the night of check-in. No one helped me move my luggage. The lady at the counter dragged my luggage on the gravel road. My room was arranged on the second floor at the back of the hotel. Because the luggage was too heavy, no one could move it, so she said she would call security for help. When I arrived at the door of the room, I wanted to use the key to open the door, but I found that the door was not closed. As soon as I opened the door, I smelled a urine smell. I hurriedly told the front desk that I wanted to change rooms, but there was no apology. They said that there were no rooms and they gave me a bottle of air fragrance spray. The next day, I went out and bought a drink to cool the refrigerator. When I opened the refrigerator door, I saw a dead dirty roach on the shelf where eggs were placed. It was really disgusting. It was useless to respond to the hotel by email. There was no apology. On the third day, I went out early in the morning to go on a trip. When I came back, I found that the room service came in to clean my room. I hung a sign for 2 nights and it was not disturbed. Suddenly, they said that I hung a sign to clean my room. The point is that the dead dirty roach was still there. The last day was even worse. The hotel water supply was cut off. I had to check out and had no water to take a shower. I made several phone calls before it was restored. After I checked out, I told them that they wanted to improve the service, but they didn't even apologize. They looked at me with disdain as if I was asking for trouble. By the way, there is no phone in the room of this hotel. You have to use your own mobile phone to call the hotel to contact the front desk."
