We stayed for two nights whilst visiting nearby Stoke. It is a very friendly, welcoming establishment. Andy and his team are all approachable and helpful; recommending nearby places to eat and drink if you don’t want to do so at the George. We arrived on a Tuesday evening which is ‘nacho night’ – buy two drinks and get free nachos and all that goes with them. Great outdoor seating area and a quaint bar too. The room was stylish, comfortable and very clean, slightly noisy as we were on the front of the building that overlooks the road. Plenty of nice little touches like fresh milk in the mini fridge, fresh water on the table, coffee bags rather than sachets of instant. Breakfast is at a time to suit you, local (Staffs oatcakes are a must) and very good. Good parking at the back and the drive to Stoke is a little over 25 minutes, small compromise to make when you consider the cost and low value for money that you get trying to stay elsewhere in the city. We discovered the Little George by chance but its now the default option when visiting The Potteries. Well done Andy and team!
