Premier Inn Southampton (Eastleigh)

We stayed in the hotel for one night prior to a cruise. We stay in a newly refurbished Premier Plus Room. It had everything you needed. The staff were very helpful, especially Morgan and Justine. We ate dinner and breakfast in the restaurant on site. We would definitely stay in the hotel again.

We can always rely on a comfortable bed and a warm welcome. The rooms are accessible and always clean. Sadly, the refurbishment in the room we had was so minimalistic it was uncomfortable to be in. The bed is great and there are plenty of sockets but there dressing table has been removed and there is nowhere comfortable to sit and relax whilst in the room. There needs to be at least one comfy chair rather than two dining chairs. Also, No spare pillows and no cushions!

Pat and Brandon are always great. Lovely smiling faces greeting you, nothing too much trouble. Premier hopefully look after them as I am sure any employer would be glad to have them as part of their team. New rooms are nice, round table a bit small when working in your room.

The newly refurbished room was very clean and seemed quite spacious due to the removal of the familiar desk/table fixture, it has been replaced with a small bistro style table and chairs. The re-vamped bathroom had touches of colour and chrome but felt darker. The extractor still couldn’t cope with steam from the shower until some time later, hence the notice on the door still to keep it closed or risk triggering the fire alarm. The replacement of the bulky wardrobe arrangement with an open light wood and metal fixture adds to the feeling of space within the room. The spare bedding has been removed adding to the available space. Sounds and vibrations from the floor above were noticeable but thankfully not disturbing. The pervading odours from the refurbishment will soon fade and leave the rooms feeling brighter and spacious.

You know what to expect with a Premier Inn, however I found the staff here particularly helpful and friendly. I'm visually impaired was made to feel very welcome, with all staff more than happy to help in any way they could. Unfortunately in a lot of places you can be left feeling like you are burdening the staff, not here, every member of staff I engaged with was more than willing to help in any way they could from showing me to my room, ensuring I knew how to get hold of reception if needed, ensuing I knew where items were on the table at breakfast and dinner and helping my use the vending machine to get a drink on my way out.

Reception friendly warm greeting from Darren . Excellent booking in quick and efficient with a smile and helpful with info on carpark booking in . The room has been refurbished room 308 . Looks so modern very comfortable bed ! Comfy pillows extra one available in a separate bag ideal for us . Chair and table with useful hanging area beside the tea/coffee making facilities . Makeup mirror with lighting in bedroom area very useful . Meal in restaurant evening and breakfast delicious with great service from Timi, Liz, Michelle and Dave . Overall experience fabulous will definitely book here again and recommend to family and friends ! Well done Eastleigh Premier Inn staff you’ve excelled our expectations !! 🤗
