Three of us rented a room for just under a week in July of 2024. Hotel is in a great location, close to town, across from the water. Restaurant has great views of sunset. It was a nice cozy room. Staff was super helpful and always there when we needed them. Helped us book tours and gave good meal recommendations. Breakfast was sufficient. This is a remote island hard to get to with no permanent dock, so supplies are hard to come by. Do not expect US style of buffet with food that goes to waste. Do not expect fluffy soft 5000 thread sheets or fluffy towels. It is still rustic and it will and should stay that way. Perfect if you know and understand where you are going. This is not Hawaii. If you want the Hawaii experience do not come here. The one issue was that while we were there they fumigated the hallways and we had to be out of the hotel from 3 to 6 pm. I appreciate that they fumigate but more than over night notice would be welcomed.

The hotel has a good view, you can see the sea, the room is relatively large, the internal facilities are relatively simple, there are no slippers and electric kettle, the hotel is very salty, the ingredients are fresh, the island is not convenient to use a credit card, we were from Paris at the time, brought the euro, it is very inconvenient, Taxi and tour guide fees on the island are available in cash, generally do not accept euros, Chilean pesos or US dollars

With only 9 rooms across 3 villas this place is fantastic. There is a central restaurant and bar with a modest pool and lido area. There is whole place is tranquil and has a high view over the town with great sunset panorama views. It is a 30 minute walk into town or a 5 minute £5 taxi ride. Otherwise the island tour operators will take you all I’ve the island to visit the main Moai sites straight from the hotel. The bar and restaurant are first class and reasonably priced. A full bar with great local cocktails and plenty of vegan/vegetarian options available. All the staff speak good English. A tranquil tropical resort hotel, the bedrooms are large, modern and comfortable with spectacular views from their balconies.

I didn't stay at this property but came here for a massage so the review is solely on the spa service and as a non-staying guest. I called to enquire and it was difficult to communicate with the spa staff over the phone as she does not speak much English and I speak no Espanol but somehow managed to make a booking. They seem quite busy and I couldn't get a longer massage so best to book a day early. I went for a 50-minute deep tissue massage which was 60,000 pesos (about USD72). The spa room is nice and spacious, very clean and also ensuite so comes with a shower. The masseur is top notch, she found my tired knots and sore areas and worked on them with enough strength. The massage was outstanding and worth every penny, felt very relaxed afterwards. Separately, I wanted to asked at the reception whether I can have dinner there, the reception staff looked bewildered and kept shaking his head, it's fine if the restaurant is not opened to outsiders, he could just explain, there's no need for such a reaction.

This is not a hotel. It’s your friend’s house who invited you over to spend some time in the most remote part of the world. That’s how welcome and pleasant I felt here. Marcelo and his family run this establishment. He’s a one stop shop for everything Rapa Nui. Marcelo welcomed me at the airport with a gorgeous lea. The hotel is off main street in a private alleyway. It’s simple, but offers and authentic experience. Marcelo’s family lives up front and the back has a nice patio, kitchen area and several rooms. I was solo, but my room had three beds. So I had plenty of space. I was welcomed with a yummy smoothy, and after that Marcelo just took care of everything for me, from giving me different tours, arranging a glass-bottom boat ride, booking a 4-wheeler for me to do some adventure exploration, arranging a show reservation, and taking me to the National park areas as a credentialed guide. Did I mention, he’s also the volunteer firefighter. I really enjoyed my stay here. The room is clean and comfortable. There were plenty of fans available if I needed them, but the heavenly cross breeze made those unnecessary. I loved that instead of serving breakfast separately, they encourage guests to sit around a bigger table. I met several interesting people this way. Felt great. The location is great. Walking distance from the town main street and less than 10 minutes from the town beach with several Moai’s. In terms of service, on the day I was leaving I asked Marcelo I’d like to buy a specific t-shirt and he drove me around to various shops till I got it. Then he made sure that I have my flight all the way to the security check point at the airport. Now that’s just awesome. I loved, loved my time at Kaimana Inn. It’s a whole experience, made special by the host and his family. I cannot recommend this place enough.
