TownePlace Suites Minneapolis-St. Paul Airport/Eagan

Sometimes you can just tell when a hotel is well managed (my ex was a hotel general manager, so I guess I learned a thing or two about hotel management). This hotel, while not a five star property, has five star management. I would like to call out Angelo in particular who assisted me in making my reservation by phone ahead of time. I had some particular requests (traveling with a picky friend and wanted to ensure a few things that would satisfy her). He provided excellent service, to the point that I asked for his name. He went above and beyond to note the requests in our record, which were picked up by the front desk staff on the day of our check in. I also randomly happened to meet the regional manager in the lobby when I was staying there, and he was on top of everything. Staff are attentive to guests needs with a great, positive attitude. That's worth a couple of stars in rating the property on its own. Physical property was nice, modern and as expected. It was the service that set this apart. Thanks Angelo and everyone else!

For the price, it was a good. Not great, but good. We wanted something with a little more space while we were visiting over a long weekend so we upgraded to a multi-room suite. The rooms were fine but definitely outdated and dingy. Breakfast left something to be desired and the coffee was pretty gross. Friendly staff and a convenient location helped make up for some of this.

Can’t say enough good about the quality of this hotel. Had an unexpected flight cancellation and luckily found this hotel for the night. They are clearly well managed and made us feel welcome while waiting for a room. They were able to get us in the room early and once in it was clear everything was well thought out to anticipate guests needs. Everything from breakfast, cleanliness and room supplies demonstrates their commitment to guests. Location right across from Mall of America gave us something to do with the unexpected delay. Would highly recommend!

the staff are awesome, the rooms were very clean, the free breakfast and coffee was very good and the eating area was spacious, the outdoor pool was nothing fancy, but that is just what we wanted. we got a discount at Chilis which served very good food and drinks. easy on and off I35. a few cosmetic blemishes in the room but very easily overlooked. no foul odor in the rooms or hallways. a little more money was well worth it.

I had to make a quick trip one wknd to pick up an item for my boss, my husband and I were looking for a hotel and came across this one. From the outside it looked pretty decent, so we book on a 3rd party app, went into to check in and they needed a credit card to have one on file, little did I know i was charged again, this time with a different rate from what I booked earlier! The hotel seemed legit but once inside it smelled of ********* in the elevators, the next morning there was nobody at the front desk so we couldn't check out and had to leave a sticky note on the computer keyboard. I checked my account and was charged twice for one night stay; I went back to the hotel and the lady at front desk called the owner and she told her she will refund me on Monday since it was a Sunday. I also called the 3rd party and explained to them, they sent me a email a few days later stating the hotel advised them my card was never charged just for incidentals and was given back! Oh no they did not!! i called the hotel and kept getting automated system! So please beware and do not stay here unless you want to get charged double than lied to about it!

I stayed at TownePlace suites Eagan for about 1 week while on business. The lobby and breakfast room are very tiny!! this must be a very old property. It looks like rooms were renovated in the past, but that renovation doesn't look to have gone too deep. Front desk staff (the main guy there most of the time) was not very engaging but he was a nice guy once you got to talking with him. My room was really large (2 bedroom suite) and faced the highway. The 2 bedrooms were the same size and very small. I got the feeling that the main area could have been smaller to make at least one of the bedrooms a decent size. What I like: + Quiet + Large suite + Streaming services available on TV + Reliable internet + Actual telephones in the room + Full kitchen To improve - Windows appear to have not been replaced during last renovation, they were loose and transmitted quite a bit of highway sound - Thermostat is old school analog and difficult to make a known set point - TV very small considering viewing distance and large room - Bi-fold closet door broken in bedroom - Floor lifting in kitchen - All drains seem slightly clogged, and drain slowly - Shower drips continuously - Tiny breakfast room I will seek out a newer or more updated property if I return to Eagan area, but I would still go to this property in a pinch because at least it was clean and quiet and with ear plugs I could at least get a good sleep

Stayed at Townplace Suites by the airport. Was met in the morning by a smiling face, Martha H. Her warm smile and friendliness made us feel so welcome. Hard worker, did a fabulous job. Need more staff like her.
