Four Points Hotels in Dunhuang

Metropark is a nice hotel located near a river and is relatively central to the city. A lovely staff member, 李雪 (Li Xue) helped me check in and she took me to my hotel room. She was extremely helpful and friendly. The hotel room is very spacious, clean and quite luxurious. The hotel is within walking distance to the night market and the museum. Highly recommended. 这是一家不错的酒店，位于河边，相对靠近市中心。一位可爱的工作人员李雪帮我办理了入住手续，并带我去了酒店房间。她非常乐于助人，非常友好。 酒店房间非常宽敞、干净，相当豪华。从酒店步行即可到达夜市和博物馆。 强烈推荐。

I was very fortunate to stay at Sunshine Shazhou Hotel. It was the most satisfying stay during my trip. I originally booked another hotel. When I passed by Sunshine Shazhou Hotel, the hotel building area was quite spectacular in the urban area. I personally felt that it was the largest hotel and the architectural style had a unique style of the Western Regions. As soon as I entered the hotel parking lot, I could feel the enthusiasm and friendliness of the staff. Xiao Qiao, the front desk of the hotel, introduced the details of the hotel very professionally and took us to see the room. Xiao Qiao's professional service was recognized by my husband and wife. We simply refunded the original hotel and chose Sunshine Shazhou Hotel. When we checked in, the hotel front desk also upgraded our room. Xiao Qiao personally helped us deliver our luggage to the room. The relevant information of tourist attractions and food streets and precautions during the trip were introduced in detail! During the check-in process, they will appear as soon as we need help. The just-right service made us feel what it means to be at home! Because of Xiao Qiao's impeccable service, our trip to Dunhuang has added a touch of color. Overall, Sunshine Shazhou Hotel is indeed a good choice. At the same price, this is definitely your best choice for a trip to Dunhuang. Here is a little suggestion: The hotel can make some special power cards, otherwise the power card and room card will be confused and it will be very troublesome to take the wrong card at breakfast!

When we arrived at 930pm there was loud construction next door and didn't stop till after 1230am both on the first night and 3rd night. Very loud and difficult to sleep. Room was ok but bed was very hard like sleeping on wood. Breakfast was Chinese breakfast and just mediocre. Hotel advertised a gym , spa and sauna. Gym was 2 small machines stuck in the corner of the 2nd floor out in the open. I could not find the spa or sauna so I asked the front desk and was told ”no have”. I discovered later the next night the spa is outside of the hotel and not affiliated with the hotel. Won't stay here again

Highly recommended to everyone. We traveled to Dun Huang in early May (2024), and we feel grateful for all the kindness we got here. The hotel is very clean, and the service is super accommodating. They provide free pick-up from airport (or train station), so all you need is to call them one day ahead (the receptionist can speak English if you don't speak Chinese). Everyone will smile at you and ask what they can help you when we stay there. The location is brilliant too. It is like 1000 meters away from Ming Sha mountain, and you can actually see the sand mountain when you have breakfast at the hotel (it is free too). We will definitely stay here again when we visit Dun Huang next time.

The unexpected check-in experience started from the pick-up at the station. The hotel's pick-up service was very considerate, and the driver was professional and enthusiastic. The hotel check-in was also very professional. Entering the room, there is a foot bath bucket placed, and the hotel also has a bathtub. The overall decoration of the room is relatively old, and the hotel is relatively large, with about 100 single-story rooms. There is still a distance from the room to the elevator. The service staff are very enthusiastic and will help answer questions and deliver meals to the room

The environment is beautiful and the service is very considerate! One night my wife was sick and they sent me ginger tea. The breakfast was simple but tasted very good. The only thing that needs to be improved is the dishes for lunch and dinner. However, since the hotel is not far from the city, there is no disadvantage!

Accommodation in Dunhuang is relatively cheap in the off-season, and the service is also relatively good. The hotel is not far from Mingsha Mountain and is also relatively close to the Dunhuang Night Market. This hotel has airport pick-up service, which is very good. I booked it for one day and directly renewed it for 2 days. The hotel is clean and hygienic, so I won't say much about it. The bed is very comfortable, the bathroom is separated into dry and wet areas, the toilet is electric, and the breakfast is very rich and superb.

The dining experience of Dunhuang Hotel is really remarkable. The environment of the restaurant is full of regional characteristics, and the decoration style incorporates Dunhuang cultural elements. The murals, sculptures and other decorations make diners feel as if they are in the wonderful world of Dunhuang art, creating a unique dining atmosphere, which is suitable for dating, gatherings or banquets. Of course, the most unmissable are the local specialties of Dunhuang, such as mutton stewed cakes, fresh mutton with chewy noodles, and the mutton soup is fully integrated into the noodles, which is super satisfying; and Paoer oil cake, as one of the famous snacks in Dunhuang, evolved from the ”Jianfengqiao” in the Tang Dynasty. It has a unique handmade craftsmanship, a crispy and sweet taste, oily but not greasy, and is deeply loved by diners. In terms of service, the staff is warm and thoughtful, from guiding to seat to ordering recommendations, to timely adding water and cleaning the table during the meal, every detail is handled very well, making people feel intimate and comfortable. In terms of price, the dishes are cost-effective, with both affordable home-cooked dishes and special dishes suitable for high-end banquets. In short, whether it is the environment, dishes or services, the catering at Dunhuang Hotel can leave a deep and good impression on people and is worth a try.

The service was exceedingly good at ZhongZhou hotel. I stayed with my wife and had a second room for my daughter and son in law. The lobby always had someone to open doors/press the elevator button for guests. What really stood out to me was the attitude of the workers. Breakfast typically starts at 7, when I mentioned I had to leave at 6:15, the worker at the restaurant told me to come early, and she would have it ready for me. Unfortunately no fitness center but the laundry room was a plus. There were also plenty of washing machines (no dryers). This hotel truly felt like a second home. The rooms and beds were also comfortable and clean. A fantastic stay overall, would definitely stay here again.
