Family-friendly Hotels in Dunhuang

Metropark is a nice hotel located near a river and is relatively central to the city. A lovely staff member, 李雪 (Li Xue) helped me check in and she took me to my hotel room. She was extremely helpful and friendly. The hotel room is very spacious, clean and quite luxurious. The hotel is within walking distance to the night market and the museum. Highly recommended. 这是一家不错的酒店，位于河边，相对靠近市中心。一位可爱的工作人员李雪帮我办理了入住手续，并带我去了酒店房间。她非常乐于助人，非常友好。 酒店房间非常宽敞、干净，相当豪华。从酒店步行即可到达夜市和博物馆。 强烈推荐。

I was very fortunate to stay at Sunshine Shazhou Hotel. It was the most satisfying stay during my trip. I originally booked another hotel. When I passed by Sunshine Shazhou Hotel, the hotel building area was quite spectacular in the urban area. I personally felt that it was the largest hotel and the architectural style had a unique style of the Western Regions. As soon as I entered the hotel parking lot, I could feel the enthusiasm and friendliness of the staff. Xiao Qiao, the front desk of the hotel, introduced the details of the hotel very professionally and took us to see the room. Xiao Qiao's professional service was recognized by my husband and wife. We simply refunded the original hotel and chose Sunshine Shazhou Hotel. When we checked in, the hotel front desk also upgraded our room. Xiao Qiao personally helped us deliver our luggage to the room. The relevant information of tourist attractions and food streets and precautions during the trip were introduced in detail! During the check-in process, they will appear as soon as we need help. The just-right service made us feel what it means to be at home! Because of Xiao Qiao's impeccable service, our trip to Dunhuang has added a touch of color. Overall, Sunshine Shazhou Hotel is indeed a good choice. At the same price, this is definitely your best choice for a trip to Dunhuang. Here is a little suggestion: The hotel can make some special power cards, otherwise the power card and room card will be confused and it will be very troublesome to take the wrong card at breakfast!

It was a great experience visiting Dunhuang, and I would especially like to give a high rating to Dunhuang Wansheng International Hotel. The front desk service was good, the lobby was luxurious and comfortable, the rooms were clean and sanitary, and it was very convenient to go out for dining and visit the night market. I will continue to choose this hotel next time I go to Dunhuang.

Highly recommended to everyone. We traveled to Dun Huang in early May (2024), and we feel grateful for all the kindness we got here. The hotel is very clean, and the service is super accommodating. They provide free pick-up from airport (or train station), so all you need is to call them one day ahead (the receptionist can speak English if you don't speak Chinese). Everyone will smile at you and ask what they can help you when we stay there. The location is brilliant too. It is like 1000 meters away from Ming Sha mountain, and you can actually see the sand mountain when you have breakfast at the hotel (it is free too). We will definitely stay here again when we visit Dun Huang next time.

The environment is beautiful and the service is very considerate! One night my wife was sick and they sent me ginger tea. The breakfast was simple but tasted very good. The only thing that needs to be improved is the dishes for lunch and dinner. However, since the hotel is not far from the city, there is no disadvantage!

Accommodation in Dunhuang is relatively cheap in the off-season, and the service is also relatively good. The hotel is not far from Mingsha Mountain and is also relatively close to the Dunhuang Night Market. This hotel has airport pick-up service, which is very good. I booked it for one day and directly renewed it for 2 days. The hotel is clean and hygienic, so I won't say much about it. The bed is very comfortable, the bathroom is separated into dry and wet areas, the toilet is electric, and the breakfast is very rich and superb.

Dunhuang Hotel, a state guesthouse with a history of 46 years, has buildings with elements of Dunhuang murals everywhere in the hotel, especially the lobby, which is said to be the first cave of Mogao Grottoes. The hotel has a very good location. There is 1900 Coffee next to the lobby. It takes only three minutes to walk from the hotel to Dunhuang Night Market, and it takes only ten minutes to drive to Mingsha Mountain and Mogao Grottoes. The hotel rooms are clean and tidy, and the staff is very warm and thoughtful. It was originally for the convenience of travel, but I didn't expect the hotel's catering to bring me an unforgettable feast for the taste buds! Walking into the restaurant, the Western-style murals and exquisite caisson decorations instantly brought me into the mysterious world of Dunhuang, and the atmosphere was full. The service is impeccable, from the enthusiastic guidance at the door, to the timely addition of water during the meal, and the intimate recommendation of dishes, every detail makes people feel comfortable. Every dish shows the chef's dedication and superb cooking skills, the ingredients are fresh and the cooking is tasty, it's really great! Next time I come here, I will definitely choose this hotel!

This was a great hotel for us! The room was quiet and comfortable. Even though they don’t have non-smoking rooms, they gave our room a treatment to remove any smoke odors, and we didn’t smell any smoke! However, sometimes we saw people smoking in the halls near the elevator doors which was unpleasant, or in the restaurant which was also unpleasant. But overall, it didn’t bother us. The breakfast was good except for the terrible coffee which did not even taste like coffee. The service is very good though, with friendly and kind staff. And they have very good clothes washing machines available to guests, for free. It was very helpful! I would stay here again.

I have travelled a lot in China the last 5 years. This is probably one of the best hotels I have been. Clean, comfortable, close to everything, very nice staff. Have everything you need in the room. They leave you presents in the room, have all the free drinking water you need, free apples, just excellent welcome feeling. They go as far as pointing the shower head to the side everytime they clean the room so you don't get wet when you turn on the shower. More expensive and luxurios hotels have a lot to learn from these guys. Just excellent.

I contacted the hotel in advance to pick up the airport and arrived on time. The girl also contacted me in advance to inform me of the weather and temperature that day. The service was very good and polite. The beef noodles for breakfast were also delicious. The foot bath in the room was very good for soaking my feet. It's comfortable, and various foot bath bags are thoughtfully prepared. The room is also very cozy! highly recommended!
