One off the staff members very rude for no reason not professional at all

For decades, staying at a Best Western was a risky proposition, because like the box of chocolates, you NEVER knew what you were going to get, and to that regard, they have made some improvements, and then provided classifications of BLUE for "average" accommodations and RED for their "Plus" designation. On a trip from Dallas to northern Colorado, I stopped at a rather nice BW Blue in Limon, Colorado, and on the way back, stopped at this BW Windsor Inn in Dumas, Texas. The difference was like day and night. Aside from the bug infested room they gave me in Dumas, Texas, the TV did not work, so called the front desk, and to her credit, the young lady, who I wish to acknowledge, REALLY REALLY tried to make everything right- so I want to give her credit for that. She was a trooper. She made about 5-6 trips to the room and kept after it until she had the TV and the remotes finally working. Anyway, the HDMI cable was gone, so she found another one (who steals a 12 inch HDMI cable anyway?) and hooked it up, then the remote had no sound control, so she made about 4 more trips with other remotes until she found one that worked the sound. The phone in the room was totally disconnected, the alarm clock was not plugged in, the "work desk" was an absolute joke because there was no electrical outlets, no lamp, not even a chair to sit in to work. (See pictures) BUT THE REALLY DISGUSTING KICKER was the DEAD BUGS EVERYWHERE, and some live ones as well. About 3:00 am I got up to use the bathroom and there was a live roach crawling on the roll of toilet paper. I tried to get a picture of it, but he scurried off inside the roll somewhere. This place is nothing short of DISGUSTING. (See pictures). Dead bugs everywhere, I don't know how you could ever "clean" this room and not notice the dead and live bugs, the lack of functionality of the TV, the remote, the phone, and the clock, and think this is a livable room for a GUEST. I have to chalk it up that management just doesn't care about the rooms they give out to paying guests. If you're driving through Dumas, Texas there are other choices and I wholeheartedly recommend you look at your options, and drive right past this poorly managed BW property. I didn't even try the breakfast, if there were than many live and dead bugs in MY ROOM, I can only imagine what the kitchen area looks like for serving breakfast items. Best Western should be ASHAMED of this property.

Affordable rates, clean, friendly staff, free breakfast with lots of choices. The breakfast was par with 90 percent of the places we stay. The hot food was some round egg patties, sausage patties, biscuits and gravy. There was cereal, yogurt, honeybuns, bananas, oranges, apples, waffle machine. Probably more than that. Parking was no problem at 8pm. Highly recommend this place. Pet friendly.

Everything was good except the bed. Horrible ! I would not recommend due to the bed’ other than that all is good.

Great place to sleep driving across country. Pretty good breakfast and comfy beds and pillows.

Carpet was dirty, a/c was noisy, bed was lumpy. Can't recommend.

Great property at a great price. Super clean room, great breakfast, friendly staff. Perfect for our quick overnight traveling through Texas.
