I spent 5 night at Hotel Dumaguete with my wife and 5 y/o daughter. We had the best time ever. Very nice modern rooms. The staff were absolutely over the top being very accommodating, kind, and respectful. They are always smiling and will go out of the way to make sure you are happy and satisfied. The restaurant/deli in the lobby (Piapi Deli) serves up some really great meals at a very reasonable price. The roof top wine bar (The Pawnshop), is also very nice with an ample assortment of wines and cheeses. Conveniently located close to town and the famous board walk and boulevard with too many restraints to choose from. Be aware if you have children or you cannot swim that the swimming pool does not have a shallow end so to speak. 5 ft is the minimum depth getting deeper from there but very clean and very nice. Time and money well spent for sure. I highly recommend this hotel and will return sure.

I love this hotel. i have stayed here now many many times, and i have NEVER had a bad experience, so i thought i would finally write a DESERVED GOOD review. The Hotel is placed right at the heart of Dumaguete, everything you would want is with a few mins of the hotel, the hotel also provides trips to some of the popular tourist attractions. The rooms are always clean and fresh with daily room service, but in my opinion the only thing that lets the rooms down are the showers which sadly could do with more maintenance as often they are faulty in some way and poorly kept looking, but they still provide good supply of hot water. I have stayed in all of the rooms they offer, from their suite to the standard rooms, and all show the same levels of cleanliness and the rooms always feel welcoming. Free breakfast is provided and the restaurant is good and the food well cooked and presented , the hotel provides a full range of pampering service if you require some self indulgence. The staff are ALWAYS friendly polite professional and on hand for any reason and will always make you feel important and a valued guest. I have in all my stays at this Hotel had only ever had one problem which was dealt with professionally, immediately and satisfactorily,. This hotel is ALWAYS my first choice when i visit Dumaguete, and will continue to be so They have plenty of rooms and even as a walk in, i have never been turned away from being fully booked, Its always a pleasure staying here.... See you next time !

A pleasant hotel to base ourselves for 4 nights to do the whale shark watching and the canyoneering. The large sliding door wardrobe was great to store all our luggage and belongings out of the way. The free secure parking was great for our hire car which we needed to access restaurants. The last dinner order at Eden was taken at 6.00 p.m. The beach was rocky and unappealing for a swim, but the infinity pool was great. Views were spectacular and we highly recommend this hotel.

Hotel environment is very good, breakfast is relatively simple, there is a spa center to make an appointment, lunch and dinner are eaten at the hotel, the price is not expensive, tastes good. From the hotel to the apo island, the tutu car gave 200 pesos. The driver should be very satisfied. He also asked to leave the phone to pick up the boat. He went to the apo island to charter 3000 pesos. After boarding the ship, he also collected the life jacket, the island fee, the snorkeling fee, etc. 300 pesos.

One word to describe Bluewater Sumilon Island would be PARADISE! We were greeted by a mild-mannered receptionist (if i remember it right, Kevin) before we hopped on the boat. Sit on the first row, if you wish to enjoy the water splashes. We didn't mind as we were still wearing our swimmers from our whaleshark experience. We got there about 1pm, the room was ready about 3pm, but no trouble, because we enjoyed alone time in the infinity pool, took a nap on the daybeds, enjoyed a βmust orderβ halo halo on a buko, and fruit smoothies! What makes this place awesome is the staff, from the pool guy who picks up every leaf falling on the water, to the porters who helped our bags, to the friendly people at the reception and the dining area, even the nice ladies at the Amuma lounge. William's smile and attentive service is really heart warming. I'm not surprised why he's popular! Security is spot on! My husband flew a drone in front of our room and was told off 10 seconds later, which we are ok to abide. When snorkelling, I highly recommend getting a guide to the marine sanctuary. It's so worth it! It's good that the guides protect the sanctuary. There are only areas where you can snorkel, but plenty of fish, corals and clown fish. We stayed in premier deluxe room, which was very spacious, closest to the sandbar and best spot to watch the sunrise. Buffet dinner and breakfast are really good with plenty of options. Highly recommend, but would stay for more than 1 night next time.

The Island Front Resort is highly recommended
if you are planning on staying in the Oslob area and/or are planning on seeing the whale sharks there. The Island Front Resort rooms are pretty basic, but very clean and located right on the water. It was definitely a very nice treat to eat dinner and breakfast facing the clear blue ocean and Sumilon Island, which is another tourist attraction. The staff are very friendly and helpful. As a matter of fact, if you plan on going to see the whale sharks, the staff will arrange transportation for you (at a very fair price) and even fast track you on the boat line with a complimentary guide, which will save you time and eliminate some confusion when you get there. The food (both the dinner and complimentary breakfast) was very good and priced very reasonably. I was hoping for just a clean basic room to sleep in (which I did get), but the good and fairly priced food and being fast tracked on the whale shark line were definitely nice surprise bonuses!! π

I love this place. The rooms are very clean and cozy. We were very comfortable here during our stay because the atmosphere here is so relaxing. The color combinations of the rooms are just adorable. And the price is just right. The hand-painted murals are simply beautiful. It gives an ambiance of blissful serenity to the place. The staff is also very friendly and accommodating. Try their Chinese dimsum. You will definitely love it. Iβm coming back here for sure.

GGuest UserFor a 5 star hotel, it doesnβt seem like it is and definitely not worth the price. -Poor amenities (Example, they offer a small thin bar of soap as a body wash. Why wouldnβt they offer liquid body wash? Also, some towels were overused) -They clean the rooms/bathrooms and change your towels after 3 days instead of everyday. Thereβs no pandemic anymore so why not clean the rooms everyday?! -Good food, but not enough choices for breakfast (Why wouldnβt pancakes be included in the options? Also, the coffee doesnβt taste good - strong and burnt tasting) -Nice staff, but they need more training: οΌFood Service is slow and inefficient. During breakfast and lunch, our food were served after hours of waiting. Some of our orders came incorrectly (not what we ordered). οΌDisorganize and lack in system. οΌThey lack in staff both at the front desk and Sans rival Cafe. -They will charge you if you donβt return all your keycards. If this was a true 5 star hotel, you wouldnβt charge your guests for something cheap and disposable. Overall, our stay was ok (big rooms and nice pool), but lacking in amenities and training of staff. There are more cons than pros. Whoever owns this hotel seems like they are saving too much on costs. Never going to stay in any of the Henry Hotels in the Philippines.
GGuest UserI can't say enough about this hotel. Customer service was professional, efficient and welcoming. The staff never failed to greet me with βhello sirβ and wave and smile. Always helpful when I had questions such as βwhat's the best way to get somewhere?β, Etc. Location is excellent with being close to the beach walk, many restaurants and access to public transportation. Property is well maintained and clean. My room was plenty big for one person but family rooms are also available. Only one thing that may bother some is the hot water was out for one of my 3 day stay. However this was a minor inconvenience for me and did not keep me from issuing this 5 star review.
AAnonymous Useri like this hotel even before, for its cleanliness, the location is very good and their staff before are so friendly, but recently their rules are too tight and the hotel staff are so annoying, it seems they are always in a hurry in kicking you outβ¦
GGuest UserWe originally planned to stay at another hotel but it was full so we decided to try Henia. Overall itβs been a good experience and I think this is probably the best option in Dumaguete, which for some reason has a very limited selection of hotels. The good: - The rooms are reasonably sized. They only had twin rooms when we booked. While they are basic, they are up to date, clean and reasonably roomy - The bathroom is decent quality, with expected amenities such as shampoo, toothbrush kits, etc. The shower is spacious. - The wall air conditioner works well - They bring the included breakfast to your room. You choose from a number of Filipino options each day. There is no western breakfast option. - Everyone I have dealt with has been friendly and helpful - The elevator, which is a rarity in Dumaguete hotels, is decent sized and very smooth The not so good: - There is a lot of traffic noise - The water pressure is not great - The internet is not strong. Itβs virtually impossible to even upload things - The key card is very touchy, so it takes a long time to get the door open Overall, given the other options, I would recommend this hotel
666772625Being new, the rooms are small, but neat and clean. They are very colourful, as you can see from the photos. There's a rooftop pool, possibly the smallest hotel pool ever, yet quite deep. Good for cooling off and for its views of the city. If there are sufficient guests, breakfast may be a buffet on the top floor, which is quite good. Otherwise, you only get to order a meal and one drink from the cafe next to reception. As is often the case in the Philippines, the choice is extremely limited in that case. It's hard to rate the hotel's value, when these are two vastly different situations. You can have 4 or 5 or more glasses of juice at the breakfast buffet, or only 1 if that's not operating. I'll be generous and rate it very good, but that assumes they supply the decent breakfast. If you get stuck with the cafe breakfast, I'd downgrade it to average.
GGuest UserThe cleanest hotel I have ever been here in Dumaguete. The best place to stay. All staff are very accomodating everybody gives quality service they kept on smiling, friendly and easy to deal with. They have Also restaurant in house. The food is superb π Must try their menu of the day / Bestseller menu βΊοΈ They make you feel comfortable in All ways. Nothing compares β€οΈ
GGuest UserThe place is perfect for those traveling with a tight budget. As for me, we were wanting to explore the city and the neighboring nature destinations - so it didn't make sense to check in an expensive hotel as we didn't plan to lounge in the hotel. The room rates are budget friendly - the beds and the AC was okay. Room had a tv with cable, but wifi was not working most of the time, but its okay because Mobile data was strong enough as the hostel is within the city. The only issue I have was with the bathroom. It was nice, had a sink, a hot/cold shower and a large toilet. However, the bathroom had a divider on the floor separating the shower and toilet - but the toilet part of the room had no floor drain. So tendency is, if you spill or splash water to the toilet part of the bathroom, it will stay on the floor and would flood the other half. But all in all, the stay was great.
BbarbiedogonI stayed here last week together with my husband. Our room is nice, very spacious, air-conditioned room and hot shower. Unfortunately, I have to ask the receptionist for our bath towels and I hope next time it was already at the room by the time we check in. The remote control of the tv also does not function well. I also saw some webs on the ceilings of the comfort room. I suggest to clean properly the CR and repair minor amenities of the room. But still, I love to stay over and over again in this hotel since it's very accessible in the downtown area. Thank you. I hope my review helps the management to do the best service they can to customers. Thank you.
MmelrubinThe location of the hotel is convenient since it is at the center of the town. There are a lot of stores and restaurants/food shops nearby. The Boulevard is within walking distance too. Though we when we park at the basement, it was kinda dirty and creepy too. You have to use the stairs to go up to the lobby. But overall we enjoyed our stay there and its budget saver. The staff were approachable.
