Great hotel with wonderful rooms with full equipment for all the necessities (even with toaster and washing machine). Great service, tasteful breakfasts, nice staff. Especially I would like to thank wonderful receptionist Sree, she provided me with the best room available from my category with pretty view, which made my anticipated staying at the hotel even more delightful. Nice private beach in 2 minutes by walk. Also with good free wi-fi that you can connect from nearest cafes. I recommend Adagio Premium The Plam to everyone!

I really liked the hotel.
It has its own large territory and sun loungers quite close to the sea, which is rare for JBR. The beach is sandy. There are crabs in the water.
As for the HB food, there were excellent Ribeye steaks for dinner. Also, only on trip.com did I see a 3-hour drinks program for HB. For literally $20 a day extra for HB for two, they open access to the bar for 3 hours from 4 pm to 7 pm with a limited selection of quality alcoholic drinks and cocktails.
There is construction. They warn about it in advance. But it didn't bother us at all.

A very good hotel with a super professional stuff. Stayed there for 3 nights. We asked for a corner room, and we really got one, but when we entered the room there was a smell of mold, and there were noises coming from the upper floor. After i contacted the reception and complained about the above, they immediately moved us to a knew room, that was fantastic. This is the kind of service that you have to get in such high level hotels. The hotel is located in an excellent location, and it is connected to a mall, with a lot of restaurants. The room was big and very comfort, and had the all amenities that you need. This hotel is a very good choice in Dubai

Nestled in the heart of Dubai Marina with unparalleled views across the waterfront, InterContinental Dubai Marina is a great place to stay.
Upon arrival, Gracie, who works at the front desk, provided excellent customer service and helped me join the IHG members club, which came with a 25% discount on meals in the hotel restaurant. The concierge desk also provided excellent customer service. They ensured all the luggage was well handled during check-in and check-out. I also had a minor accident in my hotel room, where I dropped a cologne on one of the glass-covered tables, and the whole glass on the table broke. The hotel staff prioritised safety and moved me into a new room with a fantastic view without paying extra costs.
The hotel is also conveniently located. Many good restaurants, Spas, and spots like HeliDubai, SkyDiveDubai and Yacht rental places are within a 15-minute taxi ride. To get downtown, you need about 30 minutes or so, which is still great, and there are always taxis at the front door, making moving around easier.
Overall, I had a great stay at the hotel, and I would stay here again

The best thing is the location, very close to downtown just 10 minutes walk from the Dubai Mall.
It is a very nice small hotel with all the services.
The best thing without a doubt has been the attention of the staff, they are very friendly and attentive.
The pool is very nice and they put air conditioning machines to relieve the heat. The only bad thing is the price of the drinks at the pool bar, it is excessive.
I don't like being asked at breakfast if I want to order something else from the menu when breakfast is already enough, I understand that it is not the staff's problem, it is surely an order from management to increase sales.
The shower is small and not functional, especially for tall people.
The sockets in the room are not all adapted for international connectors, only two in the entire room. There is no connector for the
Hairdryer in the bathroom, you have to go to dry yourself in the middle of the room.

It is a good hotel, although it was very late when we arrived that night, it was still very good reception, but the hair dryer was broken that night, and finally the hotel was replaced. But the requested slippers did not arrive. Call the front desk in the next few days, everything needed was delivered in time, and the attitude was very good, thank you very much. The hotel is well located with a swimming pool and beautiful public areas. Good price, highly recommend this hotel.

SSheila the FavI've been in the hotel now for over 24days and mostly enjoyed my stay as the the hotel is clean, the bed is good, it smells fresh and the ambience is suitable for the price of UNDER Dh180 per night for this location. It's a really good short stay hotel but Safety is an issue and largely due to their neighbourhood.
I think that most of their hotel staff is good but watch out for sexism. They also need more training to respect consumer rights.
Also they have an issue with 'holding structure' wrt their insurance. It's now 2nd Oct 2022, so if you read this a few years later, this cld be a totally different hotel.
- Barsha Heights is an urban neighbourhood in transition. Not suitable for those a bit conservative as I am.
I seriously question the safety- marketing match for this property and would not deem it suitable for families with small kids.
1) the bathrooms aren't kid-friendly and easily over-splash. I changed to a room with a bath tub but the tub sides are too high and it's a safety hazard.
- aesthetics is good but Design is not their strong feature.
-The housekeeping staff does a really good job to wipe down the floors. These guys are good. Their senior management is also pretty good. Their overall staff in general is too inexperienced for Dubai standard.
2) the floor landings aren't well marked and some kid got off on the wrong floor and got scared and confused. I got him off on the right floor. I saw him later with his parents.
- most guests here are friendly and look out for one another. Another guest looked out for me too. It's a friendly and trustworthy space between most guests.
3) they don't put up signs that contractor work is happening. Can do better.
4) The front desk and F&B do seem to take the mickey out of solo female travellers, so be straight up on what you expect.
- Push back and know your legal rights. It's likely a cultural thing. Seen it here before decades ago too. It was wiped out then but clearly it's resurfaced. So do what you can or move to Abu Dubai or Sharjah.
5) excellent food deals! Heart of the hotel!
The food is quite good for the price. Not too oily, good selection. The breakfast per the entire week was dh200+ and comes with fresh omelletes, Asian, Indian and European as well as fresh fruit. They improved the coffee. Really good deal! Clean cafe since it's new.
The pub also has a good meal deals under Dh100 this Sept 2022. They change in October. Ask and know your consumer rights before ordering.
But like a few other Dubai restaurants, the plates and glasses smell of stale dish washer. They fixed it immediately so that's good. But no one else complained and that was surprising to me.
Potent cocktails. Good bar tender from Morocco and another from Philippines called Joseph.
6) don't stand outside to look for a cab. The Security came to get me a cab. It's safer.
Really good hotel for under Dh180 but the neighbourhood sets them back a bit. I've been here a while and thank the staff for a pleasant stay!
RRodeth AnnWe booked a staycation in Dubai to celebrate my birthday, hoping to enjoy some quality time together with my sister. Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted by Mr. Rodel, who assisted us with our luggage. He was extremely polite and accommodating, making us feel welcome from the very start.
However, our experience at the reception during check-in was extremely disappointing. When we approached Mr. Abdelrahman at the front desk, he requested our IDs. I provided my Emirates ID since the room was booked under my name. Unfortunately, my sister had forgotten her physical ID and asked if an electronic copy would suffice. He immediately said, “No.” She explained that she had forgotten her ID, and I asked what we should do since we had travelled all the way from Abu Dhabi. I asked if they would accept me but not my sister, what would be the point? His response was once again a firm, “No, we need a physical ID. We cannot do anything about that.”
Despite our efforts to explain the situation, he remained unyielding, insisting that only I would be accepted and not my sister. I was extremely frustrated and disappointed, so I requested to speak with the manager. Abdelrahman continued with the check-in process without further engagement. When the manager arrived, he explained that while the protocol does indeed require physical IDs, they would make an exception this time. My sister acknowledged that it was her mistake not to bring her physical ID, but the way Abdelrahman handled the situation was far from satisfactory. His repeated refusals, without offering any alternative solutions, were disappointing—especially considering this is a 5-star hotel. Proper customer service, particularly in the hospitality industry, involves more than just saying “No.” It requires understanding, empathy, and a willingness to assist guests to the best of one’s ability.
After check-in, we were assisted by Mr. Choi, who helped us with our bags and escorted us to our room. His professionalism and courteous demeanour were a complete contrast to our earlier experience. Mr. Choi, along with Mr. Rodel, Mr. Gaurav, and Mr. Rozaldo, truly stood out during our stay. They were all incredibly helpful, polite, and welcoming, and they deserve recognition for their excellent customer service.
Overall, our stay was pleasant, but the check-in experience left a negative impression. I hope the front desk staff receive further training in customer service, particularly in terms of empathy and problem-solving. A simple “No” is not the answer to every situation, especially when guests are looking for assistance.
GGuest UserWe had a one bedroom suite with a kitchen with sea view. It was very well equipped, with dishwasher and washing machine. Very comfortable bed. Very clean on arrival and cleaned every day with fresh towels etc. The hotel has excellent facilities - large restaurant area, gym and swimming pool. Breakfast choice was superb. It is very well located - short walking distance to the Tram (Palm Jumeirah station) and the monorail to the Palm. Most notably are the hotel staff who were always welcoming, polite and helpful -especially Main at the hotel reception who was very helpful when we needed a doctor
KKusalka HerathMy recent stay at the Sheraton Grand Dubai was an unparalleled experience of luxury and hospitality. From the moment I stepped into the lobby until the day of my departure, every aspect of my stay was meticulously curated to perfection. Allow me to share my heartfelt praise for the exceptional service provided by the remarkable staff, as well as the convenient location that made my visit to the World Trade Center a breeze.
First and foremost, I must commend the outstanding service of Receptionist Nipuni. Her warm welcome and efficient assistance during check-in set the tone for a truly memorable stay. Nipuni's attention to detail and genuine care for guest satisfaction made me feel instantly at home in this elegant establishment. Her professionalism and personalized service were evident throughout my stay, making every interaction a delight.
I also want to express my gratitude to Front Office Bilal for his exemplary hospitality and impeccable service. Bilal's professionalism and dedication to ensuring a seamless guest experience were truly commendable. From handling inquiries with ease to providing valuable insights about the local area, Bilal's assistance was invaluable throughout my stay. His friendly demeanor and willingness to go above and beyond exceeded my expectations, leaving a lasting impression of excellence.
Furthermore, I cannot overlook the exceptional culinary experience provided by Anmol at the Feast restaurant. Each morning, Anmol greeted me with a contagious enthusiasm and expertly crafted latte customized to my preferences. His creativity and attention to detail transformed my breakfast into a culinary adventure, with innovative flavor combinations and beautiful latte art that never failed to impress. Anmol's passion for his craft and commitment to exceeding guest expectations truly elevated my dining experience to new heights.
In addition to the exemplary service, the Sheraton Grand Dubai's convenient location added to the allure of my stay. As I was in town for an exhibition at the World Trade Center, the hotel's proximity to this venue was incredibly convenient, with just a few minutes' walking distance between the two. This strategic location not only saved me valuable time but also provided easy access to explore the vibrant surroundings of Dubai.
In conclusion, my stay at the Sheraton Grand Dubai was nothing short of extraordinary, thanks to the exceptional service provided by Receptionist Nipuni, Front Office Bilal, and Anmol from Feast restaurant. Their professionalism, attention to detail, and genuine warmth exemplify the epitome of hospitality. Coupled with the hotel's convenient location near the World Trade Center, I wholeheartedly recommend the Sheraton Grand Dubai to anyone seeking a luxurious retreat in the heart of Dubai. I eagerly anticipate my next visit, knowing that I will be greeted with the same level of excellence and warmth that made this stay unforgettable.
IIpek EmilyMy husband and I had our first holiday as a family of three with our 7 month old baby at Voco Dubai The Palm Hotel. We chose this hotel as it had a private beach (we didn’t want to spend time travelling to a beach each day), was located away from the chaos of Dubai, offered a king size bed (I cosleep with my baby), and there was an option for including breakfast (again did not want to spend time searching for or travelling to a breakfast location with a baby). Compared to other surrounding hotels, it is a relatively small and new hotel. However, this only enhanced our positive experience as it added a more personal touch. The valets (sorry I didn’t catch their names!) took our car down to the car park while other members of staff took our luggage to our room. Diana at the front desk was the first team member we met inside and made us feel very welcome. Our room was very spacious and clean. Thank you to Arun Gawam from Housekeeping! We enjoyed our coffee pods and Biscoff biscuits provided after each thorough clean. Some reviews mentioned noise but we only heard some drilling upstairs during the day and some music outside on Friday and Saturday night. Neither of these bothered us or our baby. The breakfast buffet was amazing and had plenty of choice with some of the options changing on each day so we had some variety. The welcoming, dynamic staff knew our tea and coffee orders from day one and always greeted us with smiles. We were asked daily if we wanted our eggs cooked in a certain way. This was great because our baby is just getting started on solids. Our baby girl loved seeing all the hardworking, smiley members of staff waving at her every morning. I would particularly like to thank Rojean, Rashmi and Aldrin as well as Fasha, Shiela, Juliet, Dioseth, Anu, Marion, Fhaizan, Amin, Chef Prabin, Chef James, Chef Anyu, Ariz, Sun and Puja. The private beach was a highlight of our holiday. We loved the easy and quick access to the beach with bottles of water and beach towels provided upon arrival. The cabanas were great for privacy as I had to breastfeed my baby on the beach. The WiFi was hit and miss on the beach but I guess that helped us relax more. Thank you to Bidan, Chamodi and Roni for taking care of us there! The only downside for me was the lack of power socket to plug the hairdryer in the bathroom or next to the mirror in front of the bathroom or by the mirror in front of the desk. We had to plug the hairdryer in the socket by the bed and therefore had to dry our hair on the bed, which wasn’t a major issue, just an inconvenience and a little loud right next to our baby. Overall, it was a great holiday experience thanks to each and every member of staff!
KKenneth RonaldThis was my first stay at this hotel since it was rebranded, however I have stayed over 60 nights in the past 8 years when it was a Hilton branded hotel. The ownership of the hotel hasn't changed, just the branding.
So, with all that said, all I can really do is compare it to the hotel it used to be. The hotel closed for like 6 months last year and did some renovations, reopening as the Golden Sands Hotel Creek. Still a great location near the airport (DXB) but far enough out of the flight path that aircraft noise isn't really an issue. The hotel is now alcohol free.
The main renovation I noticed was all new carpeting throughout and a new pool deck on the top floor. The carpet color scheme is a bit odd, with lots of light colors that already are showing stains and marks. It is a DEFINITE improvement from the old carpet which was very dated. The lobby is nice and sparkly but I always recall it was that way. The rooms were exactly the same with reupholstered furniture (still the same chrome framing and styling) and the glass top desk, wood style cabinets and black tile bathroom.
I was on the 8th floor in a ”Creek View” room (yes, I could ”see” the creek) but what I really saw was the huge LED info sign on the Chamber of Commerce building that I think might be new since I last stayed in April 2021. It was really an annoyance and reminded me more of Las Vegas than Dubai. The bed was comfortable but I'm unsure if it has been replaced.
Other things I noticed: bathroom sinks still drain slow; there is no way you can take a shower without partially flooding the bathroom floor; I think they removed a phone; they moved the Qibla compass from the glass desktop to the ceiling. Looks like they removed the sheer curtains and perhaps have replaced the blackout curtains.
What has really changed was the pricing. I paid almost double per night from what I paid in the past,
Check in was the same, always a bit slow. Since I booked through a travel site who required prepayment, all I had to pay for was the nightly some-sort-of-tax-or-fee which I was aware of. They didn't ask for nor perform a charge on my credit card so I could charge things to my room, which I found out the next night when room service ask for payment. I went the front desk the next morning and made the arrangement but somehow room service never could see that it was done so I had to pay at the time of food delivery.
I thought I was told at check in that rooms would be serviced daily but I had to call daily and they always took the used towels but never gave me clean ones until I called back. I was either asking for the wrong thing or there is a serious training issue.
Otherwise the room was fine although they did add a Do Not Disturb/Clean Room/Doorbell panel at the door.
The breakfast buffet was nice, lots of variety and it seems more Middle Eastern style items which was great, but also very suitable Western Style foods in plenty. I frankly only ate the breakfast buffet once in the past, almost always eating breakfast and a light dinner and aperitif in the Executive Lounge (which is now closed but looks exactly the same through when you look in).
So, here's the bottom line...... The hotel is nice, clean, a bit updated and still a nice boutique hotel in the Deira district, close to the airport and a larger souk A great view of the city and Dubai creek from the pool deck. If you stayed there when it was a Hilton, you will probably be a bit disappointed. The staff seemed nice, attentive, but somewhat untrained. Getting a simple document printed turned out to be a challenge and the business center was closed for some reason that didn't make sense to me. I will probably not stay there again and return to the Sheraton up the street. (which a staff member told me to go if I wanted a beer). Otherwise, give it a try and check it out for yourself!
PS: Did I mention it was alcohol free? :)
AAnonymous UserLove my stay here. The amenities are the best. The location is great, near the Finance Center Station. A few eateries, mini markets and a pharmacy surrounded the hotel.
GGuest UserHighly recommend this place for any person. They got everything you need covered. The staff is very friendly and very kind. If you need any advice about places to visit or things to do while you are there, ask from Mahesh (a guy works there). He'll be very informative and specific about the places according to the time you have. Another perk is that the hotel is closer to a metro station and also surrounded by the Dubai creek. As this place is situated somewhere like the middle of Dubai, it is very easy to access anywhere you need. Rooms are clean and neat. Can easily accessible through lifts and NFC system. Do also have the mini bar option and dine in from room option. Food is also nice and tasty.
