Rove Downtown is a great hotel, and the location is just perfect! It's only a 12-minute walk from Dubai Mall. The staff is friendly and always willing to help out and answer all your questions. There's also a shuttle bus that you can use to go to different places in Dubai, which made our stay so much easier. The hotel has a convenient store where you can even buy some fruit, in case you don't want to go to the restaurant in the morning. The pool view is the Burj Kalifa, and the gym is open 24/7. Highly recommend it!

I liked the hotel. I recommend it. Special thanks to the hotel employee Aibek. He helped out many times and was always responsive to all requests and our difficulties with the language barrier. The transfer is excellent, the driver is a friendly professional and keeps the bus clean and at a comfortable temperature! food for 12 days I'm a little tired of the monotony. It’s pleasant to walk there, everything is accessible on foot. The metro is nearby on foot in 4 minutes and from there there is a comfortable passage with air conditioning to the Dubai Mall. From the hotel on the left side behind the Coca-Cola arena we found a wholesale store - prices for everything there are 5 times cheaper, it’s a pity we found out in recent days. McDonald's next to the mosque, walk between low-rise townhouses, ice cream 2 dirhams).rove keeps its style and it's nice - I'll definitely be back!

Dear AC Hotel GM or HM, Noise proofing of the room is so bad. Heard the traffic noise daily. Service is no attention to detail from front desk to house keeping to concierge. No passion on service. Breakfast option definitely not up to par, poor selection. 3 stars hotel or worse standard. A lot of more for the management to look into it and work on. Comments from a hotelier and EXCOM that work in this line for 18 years, Regards, Marcus

A very good hotel with a super professional stuff. Stayed there for 3 nights. We asked for a corner room, and we really got one, but when we entered the room there was a smell of mold, and there were noises coming from the upper floor. After i contacted the reception and complained about the above, they immediately moved us to a knew room, that was fantastic. This is the kind of service that you have to get in such high level hotels. The hotel is located in an excellent location, and it is connected to a mall, with a lot of restaurants. The room was big and very comfort, and had the all amenities that you need. This hotel is a very good choice in Dubai

Best and cozy place to stay during short travels, rooms are bit of packed and small, but having all the amenities within the room and doesn't have to request from service desk. 1 large glass filterd tap water bottle with free refills are provided instead plastic bottle water. Better avoid self parking as free valet parking is provided and there is no direct access to the lobby from basement parking (vise versa).

Tucked in a quiet little cul de sac is Rove at the Park - a wonderful hotel for quirky design lovers. The ambience and decor is very hippy . The rooms are clean and minimalist. Our room was just enough space for three of us. The pool was pretty big and pool area very clean us well with enough umbrellas and shades. The staff were all lovely. Kevin made our stay extra special and offered us early check in. Bho was pleasant and very hospitable. We would come back to Rove at the Park again. The room was non-smoking and had a fresh smell but the hallway carpet had a smoky smell. This did not affect our stay negatively as we only spent 1 minute walking down the hallway at any time.

SSheila the FavI've been in the hotel now for over 24days and mostly enjoyed my stay as the the hotel is clean, the bed is good, it smells fresh and the ambience is suitable for the price of UNDER Dh180 per night for this location. It's a really good short stay hotel but Safety is an issue and largely due to their neighbourhood. I think that most of their hotel staff is good but watch out for sexism. They also need more training to respect consumer rights. Also they have an issue with 'holding structure' wrt their insurance. It's now 2nd Oct 2022, so if you read this a few years later, this cld be a totally different hotel. - Barsha Heights is an urban neighbourhood in transition. Not suitable for those a bit conservative as I am. I seriously question the safety- marketing match for this property and would not deem it suitable for families with small kids. 1) the bathrooms aren't kid-friendly and easily over-splash. I changed to a room with a bath tub but the tub sides are too high and it's a safety hazard. - aesthetics is good but Design is not their strong feature. -The housekeeping staff does a really good job to wipe down the floors. These guys are good. Their senior management is also pretty good. Their overall staff in general is too inexperienced for Dubai standard. 2) the floor landings aren't well marked and some kid got off on the wrong floor and got scared and confused. I got him off on the right floor. I saw him later with his parents. - most guests here are friendly and look out for one another. Another guest looked out for me too. It's a friendly and trustworthy space between most guests. 3) they don't put up signs that contractor work is happening. Can do better. 4) The front desk and F&B do seem to take the mickey out of solo female travellers, so be straight up on what you expect. - Push back and know your legal rights. It's likely a cultural thing. Seen it here before decades ago too. It was wiped out then but clearly it's resurfaced. So do what you can or move to Abu Dubai or Sharjah. 5) excellent food deals! Heart of the hotel! The food is quite good for the price. Not too oily, good selection. The breakfast per the entire week was dh200+ and comes with fresh omelletes, Asian, Indian and European as well as fresh fruit. They improved the coffee. Really good deal! Clean cafe since it's new. The pub also has a good meal deals under Dh100 this Sept 2022. They change in October. Ask and know your consumer rights before ordering. But like a few other Dubai restaurants, the plates and glasses smell of stale dish washer. They fixed it immediately so that's good. But no one else complained and that was surprising to me. Potent cocktails. Good bar tender from Morocco and another from Philippines called Joseph. 6) don't stand outside to look for a cab. The Security came to get me a cab. It's safer. Really good hotel for under Dh180 but the neighbourhood sets them back a bit. I've been here a while and thank the staff for a pleasant stay!

RRodeth AnnWe booked a staycation in Dubai to celebrate my birthday, hoping to enjoy some quality time together with my sister. Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted by Mr. Rodel, who assisted us with our luggage. He was extremely polite and accommodating, making us feel welcome from the very start. However, our experience at the reception during check-in was extremely disappointing. When we approached Mr. Abdelrahman at the front desk, he requested our IDs. I provided my Emirates ID since the room was booked under my name. Unfortunately, my sister had forgotten her physical ID and asked if an electronic copy would suffice. He immediately said, “No.” She explained that she had forgotten her ID, and I asked what we should do since we had travelled all the way from Abu Dhabi. I asked if they would accept me but not my sister, what would be the point? His response was once again a firm, “No, we need a physical ID. We cannot do anything about that.” Despite our efforts to explain the situation, he remained unyielding, insisting that only I would be accepted and not my sister. I was extremely frustrated and disappointed, so I requested to speak with the manager. Abdelrahman continued with the check-in process without further engagement. When the manager arrived, he explained that while the protocol does indeed require physical IDs, they would make an exception this time. My sister acknowledged that it was her mistake not to bring her physical ID, but the way Abdelrahman handled the situation was far from satisfactory. His repeated refusals, without offering any alternative solutions, were disappointing—especially considering this is a 5-star hotel. Proper customer service, particularly in the hospitality industry, involves more than just saying “No.” It requires understanding, empathy, and a willingness to assist guests to the best of one’s ability. After check-in, we were assisted by Mr. Choi, who helped us with our bags and escorted us to our room. His professionalism and courteous demeanour were a complete contrast to our earlier experience. Mr. Choi, along with Mr. Rodel, Mr. Gaurav, and Mr. Rozaldo, truly stood out during our stay. They were all incredibly helpful, polite, and welcoming, and they deserve recognition for their excellent customer service. Overall, our stay was pleasant, but the check-in experience left a negative impression. I hope the front desk staff receive further training in customer service, particularly in terms of empathy and problem-solving. A simple “No” is not the answer to every situation, especially when guests are looking for assistance.

GGuest UserWe had a one bedroom suite with a kitchen with sea view. It was very well equipped, with dishwasher and washing machine. Very comfortable bed. Very clean on arrival and cleaned every day with fresh towels etc. The hotel has excellent facilities - large restaurant area, gym and swimming pool. Breakfast choice was superb. It is very well located - short walking distance to the Tram (Palm Jumeirah station) and the monorail to the Palm. Most notably are the hotel staff who were always welcoming, polite and helpful -especially Main at the hotel reception who was very helpful when we needed a doctor

KKusalka HerathMy recent stay at the Sheraton Grand Dubai was an unparalleled experience of luxury and hospitality. From the moment I stepped into the lobby until the day of my departure, every aspect of my stay was meticulously curated to perfection. Allow me to share my heartfelt praise for the exceptional service provided by the remarkable staff, as well as the convenient location that made my visit to the World Trade Center a breeze. First and foremost, I must commend the outstanding service of Receptionist Nipuni. Her warm welcome and efficient assistance during check-in set the tone for a truly memorable stay. Nipuni's attention to detail and genuine care for guest satisfaction made me feel instantly at home in this elegant establishment. Her professionalism and personalized service were evident throughout my stay, making every interaction a delight. I also want to express my gratitude to Front Office Bilal for his exemplary hospitality and impeccable service. Bilal's professionalism and dedication to ensuring a seamless guest experience were truly commendable. From handling inquiries with ease to providing valuable insights about the local area, Bilal's assistance was invaluable throughout my stay. His friendly demeanor and willingness to go above and beyond exceeded my expectations, leaving a lasting impression of excellence. Furthermore, I cannot overlook the exceptional culinary experience provided by Anmol at the Feast restaurant. Each morning, Anmol greeted me with a contagious enthusiasm and expertly crafted latte customized to my preferences. His creativity and attention to detail transformed my breakfast into a culinary adventure, with innovative flavor combinations and beautiful latte art that never failed to impress. Anmol's passion for his craft and commitment to exceeding guest expectations truly elevated my dining experience to new heights. In addition to the exemplary service, the Sheraton Grand Dubai's convenient location added to the allure of my stay. As I was in town for an exhibition at the World Trade Center, the hotel's proximity to this venue was incredibly convenient, with just a few minutes' walking distance between the two. This strategic location not only saved me valuable time but also provided easy access to explore the vibrant surroundings of Dubai. In conclusion, my stay at the Sheraton Grand Dubai was nothing short of extraordinary, thanks to the exceptional service provided by Receptionist Nipuni, Front Office Bilal, and Anmol from Feast restaurant. Their professionalism, attention to detail, and genuine warmth exemplify the epitome of hospitality. Coupled with the hotel's convenient location near the World Trade Center, I wholeheartedly recommend the Sheraton Grand Dubai to anyone seeking a luxurious retreat in the heart of Dubai. I eagerly anticipate my next visit, knowing that I will be greeted with the same level of excellence and warmth that made this stay unforgettable.

We chose this hotel as it had a private beach (we didn’t want to spend time travelling to a beach each day), was located away from the chaos of Dubai, offered a king size bed (I cosleep with my baby), and there was an option for including breakfast (again did not want to spend time searching for or travelling to a breakfast location with a baby). Compared to other surrounding hotels, it is a relatively small and new hotel. However, this only enhanced our positive experience as it added a more personal touch. The valets (sorry I didn’t catch their names!) took our car down to the car park while other members of staff took our luggage to our room. Diana at the front desk was the first team member we met inside and made us feel very welcome. Our room was very spacious and clean. Thank you to Arun Gawam from Housekeeping! We enjoyed our coffee pods and Biscoff biscuits provided after each thorough clean. Some reviews mentioned noise but we only heard some drilling upstairs during the day and some music outside on Friday and Saturday night. Neither of these bothered us or our baby. The breakfast buffet was amazing and had plenty of choice with some of the options changing on each day so we had some variety. The welcoming, dynamic staff knew our tea and coffee orders from day one and always greeted us with smiles. We were asked daily if we wanted our eggs cooked in a certain way. This was great because our baby is just getting started on solids. Our baby girl loved seeing all the hardworking, smiley members of staff waving at her every morning. I would particularly like to thank Rojean, Rashmi and Aldrin as well as Fasha, Shiela, Juliet, Dioseth, Anu, Marion, Fhaizan, Amin, Chef Prabin, Chef James, Chef Anyu, Ariz, Sun and Puja. The private beach was a highlight of our holiday. We loved the easy and quick access to the beach with bottles of water and beach towels provided upon arrival. The cabanas were great for privacy as I had to breastfeed my baby on the beach. The WiFi was hit and miss on the beach but I guess that helped us relax more. Thank you to Bidan, Chamodi and Roni for taking care of us there! The only downside for me was the lack of power socket to plug the hairdryer in the bathroom or next to the mirror in front of the bathroom or by the mirror in front of the desk. We had to plug the hairdryer in the socket by the bed and therefore had to dry our hair on the bed, which wasn’t a major issue, just an inconvenience and a little loud right next to our baby. Overall, it was a great holiday experience thanks to each and every member of staff!

KKenneth RonaldThis was my first stay at this hotel since it was rebranded, however I have stayed over 60 nights in the past 8 years when it was a Hilton branded hotel. The ownership of the hotel hasn't changed, just the branding. So, with all that said, all I can really do is compare it to the hotel it used to be. The hotel closed for like 6 months last year and did some renovations, reopening as the Golden Sands Hotel Creek. Still a great location near the airport (DXB) but far enough out of the flight path that aircraft noise isn't really an issue. The hotel is now alcohol free. The main renovation I noticed was all new carpeting throughout and a new pool deck on the top floor. The carpet color scheme is a bit odd, with lots of light colors that already are showing stains and marks. It is a DEFINITE improvement from the old carpet which was very dated. The lobby is nice and sparkly but I always recall it was that way. The rooms were exactly the same with reupholstered furniture (still the same chrome framing and styling) and the glass top desk, wood style cabinets and black tile bathroom. I was on the 8th floor in a ”Creek View” room (yes, I could ”see” the creek) but what I really saw was the huge LED info sign on the Chamber of Commerce building that I think might be new since I last stayed in April 2021. It was really an annoyance and reminded me more of Las Vegas than Dubai. The bed was comfortable but I'm unsure if it has been replaced. Other things I noticed: bathroom sinks still drain slow; there is no way you can take a shower without partially flooding the bathroom floor; I think they removed a phone; they moved the Qibla compass from the glass desktop to the ceiling. Looks like they removed the sheer curtains and perhaps have replaced the blackout curtains. What has really changed was the pricing. I paid almost double per night from what I paid in the past, Check in was the same, always a bit slow. Since I booked through a travel site who required prepayment, all I had to pay for was the nightly some-sort-of-tax-or-fee which I was aware of. They didn't ask for nor perform a charge on my credit card so I could charge things to my room, which I found out the next night when room service ask for payment. I went the front desk the next morning and made the arrangement but somehow room service never could see that it was done so I had to pay at the time of food delivery. I thought I was told at check in that rooms would be serviced daily but I had to call daily and they always took the used towels but never gave me clean ones until I called back. I was either asking for the wrong thing or there is a serious training issue. Otherwise the room was fine although they did add a Do Not Disturb/Clean Room/Doorbell panel at the door. The breakfast buffet was nice, lots of variety and it seems more Middle Eastern style items which was great, but also very suitable Western Style foods in plenty. I frankly only ate the breakfast buffet once in the past, almost always eating breakfast and a light dinner and aperitif in the Executive Lounge (which is now closed but looks exactly the same through when you look in). So, here's the bottom line...... The hotel is nice, clean, a bit updated and still a nice boutique hotel in the Deira district, close to the airport and a larger souk A great view of the city and Dubai creek from the pool deck. If you stayed there when it was a Hilton, you will probably be a bit disappointed. The staff seemed nice, attentive, but somewhat untrained. Getting a simple document printed turned out to be a challenge and the business center was closed for some reason that didn't make sense to me. I will probably not stay there again and return to the Sheraton up the street. (which a staff member told me to go if I wanted a beer). Otherwise, give it a try and check it out for yourself! PS: Did I mention it was alcohol free? :)

GGuest UserWe felt we had a really good location because the hotel is located right on Dubai's red metro line at Financial Centre Station which lined up really well with our itinerary. The hotel is located very close to the Burj Khalifa tower and the many sights of Downtown Dubai. We also had quite a few restaurant options and shops nearby so we didn't have to go far to get a good meal or pick up something. The rooms are nicely appointed with a firm bed and large pillows. This is a suites Hotel so there is a pretty good kitchen in the rooms with a stove, microwave oven, dishwasher, washer/dryer machine and dishes to go along with everything. The shower had great pressure and it was easy to control the temperature but we were not a fan of the scent of the bath products provided. We had a pretty good sea view and could see the Burj Al Arab and World Islands off in the distance which we were happy with. We liked that they gave us extra bottle water each day but would have liked if they included maybe a few packets for detergent for the dishwasher and laundry machine because the lobby shop quantities were bigger than needed. The amenities at this hotel are pretty good with a shop and restaurant on the main floor. There is a common room on the sixth floor and some meeting rooms that are bookable. The pool and fitness area is accessible on the sixth floor as well via a pedway and is very nice as well. The pool had plenty of lounge chairs and there were quite a few available when we visited. You can also sneak a peak at the downtown area between the buildings. The change rooms are a little small but there was lots of space when I visited and lockers available. I could not figure out how to lock the locker and would have appreciated it if I was provided the card for it or if they had instructions on the lockers of how to use them. The steam room and sauna were very small but I was the only one in them when I went in the late afternoon. The breakfast is included and there were plenty of options to enjoy when I went. There were changing items each day and while we were there they rotated between fried eggs and scrambled eggs and they had bread pudding one day, french toast another and pancakes. There is a variety of hot items as well like sausage, beans, beef bacon, hash brown patties and one day they had shakshouka. For cold items they had a salad bar, cheese, yogurt and fruits. They had a variety of pastries each day. The drinks were good as well with rotating juices and a coffee machine to pick and make your own drinks. The check in was smooth but the check out took a considerable amount more time and we aren't really sure why. They explained that our deposit would take 25-30 days to refund our payment card or we could buy things at their lobby shop but we didn't need anything so I guess we will have to wait. The hotel is very tall and we found the elevators could get quite busy throughout the day so we had to be patient waiting for an elevator to go down from the high floor our room was on or be ready for a crowded elevator at times. Overall, we are very happy with our hotel choice for Dubai and were pleased with the location, shower, view, breakfast and room.

GGuest UserHighly recommend this place for any person. They got everything you need covered. The staff is very friendly and very kind. If you need any advice about places to visit or things to do while you are there, ask from Mahesh (a guy works there). He'll be very informative and specific about the places according to the time you have. Another perk is that the hotel is closer to a metro station and also surrounded by the Dubai creek. As this place is situated somewhere like the middle of Dubai, it is very easy to access anywhere you need. Rooms are clean and neat. Can easily accessible through lifts and NFC system. Do also have the mini bar option and dine in from room option. Food is also nice and tasty.
