We booked this hotel in Dresden following a few nights in Berlin. We decided on a junior suite which, to be honest, was about the top end of our budget for this trip. However, from the moment we entered the building, we did not begrudge a penny of it. It is ornate inside and generates a relaxing atmosphere. The staff are outstanding, very friendly and helpful but without making it stuffy! Our junior suite was spacious and very comfortable with a separate living area. We ate in Kastenmeiers restaurant twice and had some very good food - please see separate review. Was it 100% perfect? Well no. We visited Amalie for a cake and wine - no problem with the produce but the service was painfully slow. Went we finally got served, it then took ages to be able to pay. If we visit Dresden again, we would definitely stay in this beautiful hotel again.

This was a wonderful experience. The rooms were lovely and exceptionally clean and all of the staff were very kind and helpful. It was the ideal location. We actually walked everywhere. It was easy to get food and we would stay there again when returning to Dresden. Amazing experience.

Ich war ein langes Wochenende von Freitag bis Sonntag im Kempinski in Dresden und möchte sagen: mein bestes Hotelerlebnis meines Lebens. Ich kenne weltweit viele 5-Star-Hotels, und das Kempinski in Dresden ist das bestgeführteste Hotel, dass ich erleben durfte. JEDER Mitarbeiter, vom Empfang über Housekeeping bis zur Gastro war ausnahmslos zu 100% kundenorientiert. Jederzeit spürte man, dass der Gast im Mittelpunkt steht. Selbst bei Problemfeldern anderer Hotels, Aushilfen: alle Aushilfen im Service: perfekt eingearbeitet, sehr gut in den Service- und Produktkenntnissen und immer dem Gast zugewandt. Dies in solcher Perfektion und dennoch Leichtigkeit habe ich noch nie erlebt und bin zu 100% begeistert. Das Kempinski kann hier beispielgebend für die gesamte gehobene Branche sein. Zimmer, Pool, Ausstattung: alls auf 5-Serne-Niveau und auch erst 2024 frisch renoviert. Alles sehr gut durchdacht und sehr gepflegt. Lage in Dresden: 1a, besser geht es nicht. Mein Kompliment an das Management: für mich das bestgeführte Hotel, dass ich weltweit kennenlernen durfte!
