Stayed last night, and Walked into Hotel around 3pm to check in. Front desk was not attended, no biggie. 2 Female staff members went looking for an employee to check me in, and a few minutes later Monique appeared from the back to check me in ( as she approached the desk, she looked like she just got fired, she was that miserable ). " Can I help you " she said. Not Hello, or welcome, or HOW ABOUT, SORRY FOR THE WAIT, i WAS ( INSERT WHATEVER ) just " can i help you ". gave her my last name, and Monique gave me a key and that was it. That was the extent of Monique greeting/helping customers. She couldn't care less about customer service. As a Hilton Diamond Member I travel a lot, and the way she " greeted " or didn't greet me you could say and checked me in is unacceptable in my opinion. I don't really care if you say hello, welcome, etc. What i care about is the front desk staff giving me my complimentary water ( which I actually needed as I was out ). Nope, not Monique, again she didn't care about anything. Just straight up Miserable. My boss, and several co-workers are with Marriott. My boss specifically is Platinum, and let me tell you, every time I stay with him at a Marriott you would think he's a celebrity. May give them a shot as clearly being Diamond level with Hilton means nothing to the Home 2 in Dover, DE.
