The Hilton Garden Inn Dothan hotel is located in the very southeast corner of Alabama off of Highway 231 S. It is a lovely, growing city within 90 miles of Panama City Beach, Florida.
Our hotel was designed with contemporary flair, with the business traveler in mind. Each of the hotel's beautiful guests rooms feature either one King bed, two Double Queen beds, King Suites or two Double Queen Suites with the Hilton Duvet system that offers clean and crisp linen each and every time you stay in one of these lovely rooms. Every guest room and suite offers a 42-inch HDTV, a large work area with desk, the Herman Miller ergonomic Mirra swivel desk chair, WiFi, including in public spaces and meeting areas, two telephones, one with two lines and speaker phone capabilities, adjustable lighting, desk level electrical outlets, alarm clock radio, and iron with ironing board. Each room offers a hospitality center for convenience that includes a refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker with complimentary coffee and tea. The Hilton bedding was designed for comfort at its best, offering that feeling of "being at home". The hotel also offers suites with King beds and Queen beds so the whole family can enjoy being together. The hotel offers connecting rooms and side by side suites for the larger group of travelers who want to be close together.
The hotel offers the Garden Grille & Bar restaurant that offers a full, hot breakfast buffet each morning from 6:30am until 10:00am weekdays and 7:00am until 11:00am on weekends to get you going. Each evening we offer dinner with our "Eat Right" menus from 5:00pm until 9:00pm with local, showcased favorites and a full bar in the main lobby of the hotel with room service available until 9:00pm.

We came here to escape the hurricane. Checked in in the middle of the night. Very quick and smooth which was much appreciated. The room was kind of yucky. I appreciate that they allow pets as we had two dogs but the rugs were stained in multiple places as well as the furniture. I didn’t want to sit down anywhere. Bed was comfortable. Room smelled a bit. Water in shower never got hot, just warm. Staff wasn’t friendly other than the cleaning staff. They were very nice. Not up to the typical standards for this chain.

One of the most disappointing Hilton Garden properties I have stayed in. The hotel definitely needs a major makeover. Bed was squeaky and uncomfortable , pillows so soft - provided no support . Rooms not soundproofed , room was extremely dusty, outside windows were dirty. The elevator was dirty and walls were scratched . Employees not the friendliest , except for the bartender who was asking me for help with their science homework for college. Overall not a good stay.

This will be the second time I have stayed here though the first time was 3 years ago. Though this is not a new property it is well maintained and the staff is very attentive. The rooms have always been very clean with the furniture, air conditioner and other items in good working order. I would definitely stay here again. Very safe and comfortable property. My only suggestion is the very low-flow shower heads be replaced with a hand held to properly be able to rinse off.

The hotel does have a restaurant but did not offer free breakfast with the stay. This hotel also didn't have a business center, which I had counted on it to have. Otherwise, the place was quite nice, but I would more likely choose a hotel that offered breakfast and had a business center.

We stayed there on Friday January 5. We used digital key. We had stayed here before. It's an ok hotel. We got our room on the 3rd and highest floor. The ice machine was broken on the 3rd floor but my husband was able to get ice on the second floor. We returned on January 15th. We again used digital key to check in (no need to go to the front desk). Our television was blue and we could figure no way to adjust the color. The ice machine on 3rd floor was STILL broken. As we were sitting there, our door opened. My husband saw the man who tried to get in, the guy was given our room as his. My husband went to the front desk and asked about the mishap. The front desk lady (an older woman) apologized and said she was trying to fix everything. The poor guy also had to go back to the front desk to obtain an unoccupied room. At one point, we had 3 rooms assigned to us in the app. When we left on the morning of January 16, we checked out at the front desk. We explained to the younger front desk person what had happened. She agreed that she had NO idea how someone else got a key to our room. I asked about the ice machine and said that we had been there 10 days earlier and she said, "I think they are waiting on a part". When I explained that our TV had a blue picture, she said, "I think that someone is working on that". We are Hilton Honors members, and thought that Hilton had a guarantee. We got nothing for our troubles. Not really even an apology, just excuses. Though we will probably continue to stay at Hilton properties, not sure we will stay at Hilton Garden Inns in Dothan again.

I had a room on the second floor at the end of the building. This hotel is a "stick" hotel meaning it has a wood infrastructure. My room floor vibrated from some machinery, the sink had a slow drain, toilet flapper had a leak running every 10 minutes and the hotel is in need of a remodel.

I’ve probably stayed here 8 or 9 times over the last 4 years, and each time it rates just a little bit lower. If you have Hilton Honors status, don’t expect any complimentary upgrades, you’ll just receive multiple emails suggesting an online check in, with ‘upgraded’ rooms being available for an extra payment. And don’t get me started on the $10 contribution to the price of the breakfast. My $14 breakfast($16 with tip) was one sausage, one bacon *****, two eggs, toast and coffee. So a net $6 cost to me. Surely the ‘goodwill’ of a complimentary breakfast would be a better investment for Hilton? There was a constant dripping sound on the ceiling/roof of my room, along with the now common noisy refrigerator. Probably time for me to try somewhere else in Dothan.

I booked 10 rooms for the Dothan Peanut Tournament November 3-5. We really enjoyed the great customer service received by Tfffany and Jessica. The hotel staff went above and beyond to make the weekend fun and relaxing. Look forward to booking again next year for the tournament.
