Good points - Nice hotel in nice area. Clean room. Comfy beds and pillows (duvet too hot). Staff were all really nice. Breakfast was mostly ok but best on the morning it was cooked to order. Check out at 12. Bad points - room temp minimum on air con controls was 19?? I had to keep the window open in the night but it was raining which wasn’t an issue but something outside was dripping loudly so then I had to shut the window at 3am both nights because it was annoying and then I was too hot…. I had ear plugs and could hear the dripping through them. I didn’t complain because I don’t think it’s the staffs fault something was dripping but I think premier inn should do something about room temperature controls. Awful tv! Doesn’t go loud enough and hardly any channels. I’d probably stay here again though because the good points outweigh the bad. The staff really make this hotel though. They’re all really approachable and friendly and nothing seemed like too much hassle when I needed something.

Breakfast, bacon was so overcooked inedible, eggs cold. Evening meals, quality of food was not great and limited menu. Compared with our Camborne stay which I would rate 5 stars, Dorchester 1 star. Staff were polite, however they were almost like reading from a script.

On arrival I was sent to an already occupied room, when I returned staff at desk bickered about the reason it had occurred I was in passing offered a free breakfast for the inconvenience. I was a woman staying alone and was slightly unnerved by the prospect of having someone being given a key to my room. Only one lift was working my entire visit. This was often being used by housekeeping staff with large laundry baskets. I paid for a premier plus room. It was quite small. Not much natural light as very small window. I stayed in a premier plus room in another premier inn and it was similar to a suite I like at Dorchester.

Premier Inn I can't fault for staying 1 night in Dorchester. Rooms are nice and modern. Bathroom clean and great shower. Bed comfy. Great to have a garage to be able to park and leave car safe. Only 4.00GBP for a night which is extremely good value.

Great location. Clean comfortable room. Good night's sleep. Good breakfast. Not happy on arrival as booked evening meal and restaurant closed due to no chef but was handled well by reception. Also one 3 bed room was wrong but got moved very quickly with minimum fuss to correct configuration. A very busy weekend and had to find a place to eat for 7 people but hotel recommended somewhere that could take us. This did cost a lot more which was annoying as we hadn't expected to pay out. Room was fine and bed comfortable so had good sleep. Breakfast was good with plenty of choice and hot food was done well. First time using premier inn and would do so again. To be fair meal deal refund was in my bank very quickly but did like them a star as I found it not good to have no back up

I booked a plus room and when i arrived i was given a triple family room instead (same value in pricing as a plus room conveniently) and was told there wasnt any plus rooms left eventhough i know what i booked, the website said it had plus rooms availble when they clearly did not and it booked me a different room than what i had actually chosen. It was only after selecting standard plan and purchasing did i then recieve an email saying triple family room and i now cant cancel without loosing 140 damn pounds. When i got into the room it also sta k off piss and there was rubbish hidden under the bed which made me question the freshness of the duvet so immediatly i requested a new one (had to wait a few hours too) I felt scammed and when i confronted staff with this issue that clearly wasnt my fault i was then made to feel like i wasnt believed and that it was my fault when the fault was on the websites end in terms of booking. I am NEVER staying at another premier inn again as this isnt the first time this sort of stuff has happened to me and its an obvious cheeky scam they're pulling, especially on people that dont want to pay extortionate prices for a flexible plan (flexible means you can cancel and get money back if not satisfied, basically they are locking your refund behind a paywall which should be illegal)

The hotel is good location for the train station, town centre and places to eat. They will hold your suitcase during the day so very convenient to pop in and pick up on the way to the train. The reception and restaurant staff, Matthew and Kate were professional, friendly, positive and helpful. Makes all the difference.

From the booking in process online to the actual stay, I must applaud all at Premier Inn Dorchester. The instructions were clear on location and parking, the check in experience was swift and friendly along with clear details on how to access our room. The room was superb, tea, coffee and bathroom consumables - always handy. The staff were brilliant, both day & night shifts to the point that when we asked for an extra towel, it was there and when my son asked for a hot chocolate as not included in the room service tray, the superb member of staff took him up to the servery and made him one! Beds were comfy ensuring a good nights sleep and the breakfast in the morning was hot, plentiful and VERY tasty!!
