Monarque Dar Jerba Narjess

My husband and I stayed at this resort from the 18th to the 25th of November. It was a last minute unplanned all inclusive break away from the cold. It was very quiet in the hotel as it's the end of season but we expected that. The whole experience from beginning to end was a pleasure. The hotel is huge and could do with updating in some areas but on the whole it is very nice, especially the main pool area. It is a huge complex with Berber style chalet like accommodation and two story hotel rooms. We were given a beachfront 1st floor room which was a huge bonus and it was very clean and had the basics. One major criticism is that there was no kettle in the room and so we couldn't have our coffee and hot chocolate in the morning and evenings. Waking up every day to the sound of the waves lapping on the shore was lovely. There was a lot of sea **** in a certain part of the beach due to recent storms in the Mediterranean, but we walked further down to avoid that area where it was beautiful white sand and turquoise waters. Due to the limited number of guests the choice of dishes was reduced, but we had the local Tunisian dishes on most days which was very nice. The buffet restaurant was the only one open for obvious reasons. We had to warm our food up in the microwave most of the time though as it wasn't hot enough. The staff were excellent and very attentive. One evening they decorated a table just for us and led us to it instead of the one we were going to sit at. It wasn't even a special occasion so that made it an even more heart warming gesture. Wi fi connectivity was very poor and could not be accessed in the rooms but just around certain areas near the main pool and was supposed to be in the reception and bar. Unfortunately there was a problem with it on arrival and we were assured that it was being fixed. On our third day the manager approached us at dinner and asked us if everything was ok. We mentioned the wi fi issue and he gave us a sim card for free and set it up. We hadn't asked for one and so were very grateful. The hotel kept on some of the entertainment staff but due to the small number of guests, they were limited to the type of entertainment they could put on. They were very friendly, especially Hashmi who we chatted with quite a bit. We went on two excursions. One to mainland southern Tunisia, to Tataouine and Chenini and the other to the sights in Djerba and a crocodile farm in the afternoon. Both trips were well worth it and we had the same guide, Aladdin on both trips. Our flight back wasn't until 7pm in the evening and the transfer time was 3.15pm. The manager let us have late checkout for free which was so nice of him and meant that we could just chill and not have to worry about luggage and what to do for the day. This was due to the hotel being so quiet of course. All in all it was a lovely break and excellent value and we wholeheartedly recommend this hotel. Thank you to the hotel staff, the tour guide Aladdin and

The food was very tasty, enough, and varied. There was something new every day. The staff was friendly. The hotel location was also great, practically walking distance to the sea. Quiet and sunny. I will book again until summer. LG Houidheg
Djerba Golf Resort & Spa

Positives: Friendly and competent staff, cleanliness, very good food, affordable price, nice pool and sports facilities. Negatives (i.e. recommendation for hotel management): Guys, a four-star hotel should not have rusty shower brackets and a bathtub that has been repainted several times. I can also recommend that a hotel with the word ”golf” in its name should offer more services for golfers. Reservations and free transfers to nearby courses should be a matter of course. Offering low-cost golf&stay packages in the off-season will guarantee that your hotel will be full throughout the whole winter season. Success guaranteed. Try to get inspired in Antalya, Turkey. And for my friend Petr - please include espresso coffee in the all-inclusive concept ;-).
Hotel Venice Beach- Families and Couples Only

The staff are very welcoming, the food was varied however there was a queue for hot dishes, for crux who have the all inclusive soft formula a cafeteria is at your disposal until 11 p.m. to serve hot drinks (Coffees, teas) and cold (Juices and soft drinks). The rooms are clean and the maid service comes every day to do the cleaning. There was entertainment at night. Regarding sports activities, we did aquagym in the swimming pool with a coach, basketball and arrow throwing. There are two swimming pools and a third for small children. For those who want to go to the beach, you have to leave the hotel and walk 3 minutes and there was a party reserved for the Venice Beach hotel.

I truly no sure who writes all those positive reviews. This hotel Is dated behind anything . Food quality very poor. Nothing to choose from. Local drinks quality is below zero so I ended up buying soft drinks from shops across of the street. Rooms so old with 1980s hair dryers Beach looks lovely on the pictures but in real life is cover with camels 💩 poo. On positive side, reception extremely nice polite and helpful. Entertainment team absolutely amazing and must say that did extra mile To make sure my mum is being look after. Unfortunately I would never come back and I will NEVER recommended this place.

This was our first holiday in Djerba and I would name it as veery good. The hotel is directly at very nice beach, dinners at the terrace restaurant were really stunning. It can be seen that hotel is still working on how to be better and nicer place for their guests. Staff was very nice, smilling all the time, even we saw them working hard every day... Food was really good, quite a lot od varieties during our 11 days stay. We tried ala carte restaurant as well,I really recomend it, delicious food 👌👌... What I see as a minus of this hotel is animation team - when I compare with other hotels in Tunisia, this team in my opinion is not working as team for guests, they should probably rethink aiming of animation according to the guests, because there happened very often that they were having better time than guests 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️. The best shows in the evening were done by outsources, not amimators. Manager of animation team was just angry walking around the place with his phone and not trying to manage them and if so,he was just rude to them in front of the guests, which I think is not good for the good feeling of the guests... So overall, we enjoyed our holiday in this hotel, mostly I think is not for young people, maybe middle age and older, services were really good for Tunisian 4star hotel, just level up animation and it will be so much better to go there for holiday 😉😉
