I stayed at the Heritage Hotel and Suites in Dickinson, ND, but the experience was frustrating. The listing advertised a 24-hour front desk, yet when I arrived at 3:40 pm, there was no staff on-site. A sign indicated they were helping another guest and to call for assistance, but no one answered the phone. After waiting over 30 minutes, another guest called the neighboring hotel, and only then did someone arrive to check us in. The room was clean, and the public areas were fine, but the lack of immediate service was disappointing. In the morning, the staff was again unavailable, and I had to call twice to receive a receipt for my stay.

Perfectly fine place to stay for a night's sleep on a longer drive across several states. I've been here twice. Rooms are perhaps a bit dated, but found to be clean. A number of establishments within a short walk for a late dinner, including Applebees. There is no breakfast served as has been mentioned by other reviewers, (other than coffee/ juice bar), but most importantly the pricing found online reflects that. If you want a full breakfast, pay more, or a lot more, somewhere else. I prefer to pay less. After check-out, went to a local Country Kitchen for a full breakfast and got back on the road. Other reviewers are correct in that the Front Desk at this hotel is never staffed. There is some type of joint-ownership with the adjacent larger hotel, and there is clear signage on the front desk to pick up the house phone, which automatically calls the staff at the adjacent hotel, and they come over and check you in. When I stayed here last month, there was already a staff member at the Front Desk, checking in another guest, so there was no wait. Would stay here again without hesitation, the next time I make the multi-state drive.

I called the hotel to make reservations because I was taking a handicapped person with me and needed accessibility. I paid extra to get a room right next to the elevator with handicapped help. When I arrived at the motel and went up to the room we had been given, it was the farthest room from the elevator you could get in the hall. I went back to the desk and complained so they gave me the room next to the elevator. The key card wouldn't work so I had to return to the desk for a third time. This time one of the key cards worked, the other one didn't. The room had no handicapped provisions, not even a grab bar in the shower. There were only 2 towels for a room for three. There was no ice bucket--another trip to the desk, where she had to go to an empty room and get an ice bucket so now that room didn't have one for the next guests. The television did not work at all, the A/C worked at best moderately, there was no soap in the shower, the carpets were dirty, the bed was one of the high ones that a handicapped person could never get into. No breakfast was available, just juice and coffee. When I checked my credit card statement I found that I had been charged an extra $15 for a "booking fee" for the convenience of calling them instead of just working on line to get the special room, which I never did get. In short, if this is the last room in Dickinson, get yourself arrested. A night in jail would probably be more comfortable than this place.

We were traveling thru Dickinson ND and went to visit Theodore Roosevelt National Park while there...this was a really good priced Hotel with Good location, was Quiet, Appeared really clean overall too when we were there, was very comfortable, had kind staff, Am giving it review we did due to a few things that could be improved upon, Was no breakfast but had good juice bar, Couldn't use the Bathtub had to just use the shower cuz had no Tub stopper, Had pool but no pool towels stocked in the pool area, one of our two room keys didn't work so had to get a new room key, Wasn't any soap or shampoo in the bathroom dispensers at all so had to request shampoo from the desk and they must manage the hotel nearby it too cuz brought over some shampoo samples from the other hotel next door overall it was a good hotel for value paid and good location as well but just had a few quirks which could be improved and listed those

We stayed here overnight while traveling through and found the room to be roomy, nice and clean. Hotel clerk was nice and friendly. He suggested restaurants. Although there was an issue with the air conditioner staying on this was a pleasant place to stay.

I booked this hotel for my son traveling home from college. The room was so dirty he could not stay. Multiple attempts to management to get his money back have gone unanswered. Buyer beware - accommodations are dirty, unkempt with no effort to make it right.

Josh was fabulous! When i called you could tell he was busy but he made me feel like i was his only customer. He was very pleasent, very helpful, & eager to do a great job. You could tell he enjoyed his job and took great pride in it. Beds, pillows, very comfortable. Room was clean but no bath towels. Josh offered to bring them to me immediately.

Previous reviewers said this place was dirty. My husband and I stayed 2 nights and found it to be super clean. The carpet in the hallways was clean. The bed is one of the most comfortable I have slept on in a long time away from home. The pillow were also some of the best I have seen in a motel for a long time. The air conditioner could have worked better. It was cold and rainy over July 4th but very humid so you needed to turn on the air to be comfortable. The hot tub and pool very both very clean as well- no floaties in the water. It was also very quiet.

I stayed here for a few nights while in Dickinson to decorate my dear father's final resting place. The girls at the check in desk were so SO sweet! My dog even adored them, when typically he's quite fearful. The place smelled nice and looked pretty clean at first glance so we decided to get comfortable. I always clean out the air filter when staying in hotels, and this filter was certainly the most memorable. I promise you, there really was a Hershey bar and hypodermic needle/syringe inside the air system's covering. I ended up cleaning the room/bathroom pretty thoroughly(even washed the linens) so the rest of my stay was perfect. Give the place a try. It's always been the same or better price when booked direct, and that's pretty rare to find! Not to mention the rooms are priced very fair.
