We had a night at Annapurna Eco-Village. We cooked a BBQ on a rock, enjoyed a tasty local meal of daal, rice, and veggies, and chatted with the owners. The next morning, we got up early to see the view and had a warm breakfast of Kodo ko roti, eggs, and spiced tea. The sight of Hemza city and Mount Machhapuchhre from here is amazing. The people here are incredibly welcoming and do everything to make your stay cozy. They really try to make the food just right for you, and the staff are super friendly. In the evening, the guests, who are mostly travelers, meet up in the dining hall to talk. I'd love to go back and I'd tell anyone thinking about it to definitely check it out.

Have had a truly great time at Annapurna Eco Village where I spent some days after trekking Manaslu Circuit Trek. A great place to recover after trekking with yoga, and great ecological delicious food from their own garden. The hill top location less then an hour from Pokhara and with great view over the Annapurna massif makes it a fantastic place. Thanx!

I spent three days in this wonderful place taking a course. It was a great thrill to arrive here and discover a village that is trying to become self-sufficient. They showed me the water collection and filtering system, all their crops and explained in detail what they do depending on the seasons. Climate change is a challenge for them too and it is impressive to see such lush nature at the foot of Annapurna. All the food cooked with their products is delicious and the coffee is also a huge surprise. The rooms are comfortable and clean, everything around is peaceful and it's like being at home. I'm very sad to leave but I'm sure I'll be back. If you go to Nepal and pass through Pokhara you cannot miss coming here.

This place is the very reason I visited Nepal. Annapurna Eco Village is pure bliss, the magic of the place is beyond words. The simplicity strikes you the most. The food is delicious, people are lovely, the owners are extremely friendly, the plums are mouth watering and their way of life just continues to stay in you. The staff are so helpful and they will find a reason in almost everything to smile. Honestly a part of you will always stay back.

The fantastic location, great Nepalese food and first of all the friendly and helpful family make this resort a real treasure. This facility was by far the best on my trip and outshines any 5* hotel. I was very much impressed and thank you for the great time.

I am so mesmerised with my staying here that i am thinking where to start from. This place is around 1.5 hrs drive and bit up in the hill from Pokhara. The place is called Astam. Taxi will cost you around 1500/2000nrp. The road is not much good in shape, lots of bumpy-jumpy as road construction is on going in number of places on the way. At point I left my taxi and took a walk for 10mins to the village. That worth better. This place is running by a joint family and team is lead by Purna. Their family is staying here for 100yrs. They offer all organic food so price of the menu may seem like as standard as a pokhara standard restaurant. The menu is fine, though it may seem limited to you. However food is really good and fresh. Must try their chatni….amazing! Room (no 10) is clean and so is the bathroom. Bed was comfy. Room does not offer much of furniture, two bed side tables- one big and another small. But room and the balcony offers amazing view. The balcony has a hammock and chair too. Seat back and enjoy the sunset time, lights of the house at far distance will seem fireflies. Btw, bathroom dont have hot water supply. You need to pour your bucket from two designated hot water tank. And there is only soap and shampoo you will get. The most important part of the place is - IT WILL OFFER YOU GREAT PEACE WITH SPECTACULAR VIEW OF MOUNTAINS WITH NO NOICE. Just give your self time at the garden while looking at those big mountains (fish tail, annapurna), restore yourself with your good music or just enjoy the sound of nature while having your organic coffee. I should have stated one more night here. On the way back Purna helped me with fixing a motorcycle rider. Charged only 1200nrp. Purna is very cordial and helpful. Great stay.

Beautiful view of the Annapurna snow-capped mountains is the main draw. This is a simple lodge with lots of heart from the family who is running it. My 2 city kids had loads of fun running after the goats, the chickens, the cats, and among the vegetable fields. We also hiked among the villages and to the river (and back up the lodge) with Naveen, who is our guide. We had the chance to interact with the locals, chitchat with the small Provision Shop Owner and also walked past a local school. This is simple life at its best. The rooms are sparsely furnished but with clean beds and sheets. There isnt heating or hot water, so you will have to collect a pail of hot water from the centrally heated water tank by yourself when you wana shower. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and we highly recommend if you can accept a simpler & more sustainable way of traveling.
