Staff extremely friendly, very helpful from the moment we checked in. Food service excellent throughout stay. Looking forward to coming back in April. Rooms could do with an upgrade in comparison to some Inns I’ve experienced before. But other than that, faultless.

Stayed here twice for a night each time whilst on business this month. It’s fine, it’s a Premier In so you know what you’re going to get. It’s far from the best one I’ve stayed in but far from the worst. The rooms are variable, first time I was on the first floor and the room was nicer, refurbished somewhat and much quieter. Second time I was on the ground floor and it was much noisier and the room needed an update (eg no power points by the bed, it’s 2024 how is that not a thing everywhere!). The food is, well, ok…as you’d expect really. The staff are variable, younger girl with dark hair checking you in is great, others are hit and miss. Not rude as such but not really that bothered. I’ll stay again because it’s better than other local options.

Checked in on 13th October recognised the staff member from before, said she has been there 20 years absolutely perfect service from the lady. But the attitude from the rest of the staff Serving at the bar and restaurant was a joke, the male staff member bringing our food seemed totally fed up didnt want to walk to hand us our food . The blond girl was extremely rude from the start demanding we hand her down the empty plates so she didn't have to walk around the table ,we had already stacked up most of them before she arrived . 2 Cocktails ordered with missing items. Wouldn't give us the bills till we paid them which the totals were wrong and she had to calculate them again. Asked for to 2 more pillows and when she brought them up her face was raging . Found chalk from a snooker table under the bed and the window screen had fell off the track . The noise when turning on the bathroom light was so loud and annoying from the fan that didn't even disperse the steam . Beds are comfy though and wifi good. Booked breakfast for 8.30 and Was asked 3 times the names and room then the lady walked away and another staff said she doesn't usually work the restaurant, food was rubbish hardly anything there, the yoghurt was dated the same day, bacon was like a burnt rock and continental option was scarce. Stayed at this hotel many times when visiting alton towers but will be the last . Room 102 ,104 and 106 .

Another stay at Premier Inn Derby East. Staff as usual were polite and efficient, we rang as we were travelling down the motorway in the morning and asked for an early check in as we were going to a wedding, they got onto it straight away and when we arrived just before 11 everything was done, room was ready, thanks house keeping! Breakfast was good and again staff very polite and helpful. We have never had a bad nights stay here.

The room was usual standard. The breakfast experience was horrific. The restaurant is tiny and the food stations are squished into two very tight corners. People were queueing for breakfast items in both hot buffet and continental sections. There were 30 people but buffet bar could only produce 10 fried eggs or bits of bacon at a time it seems and not all at the same time. There were no croissants or berries. The toast queue was long and slow. Your hot items went cold waiting for beans or bacon etc. If a hot item arrived the people already waiting took those items and everyone else waited for a second round of cooking to occur. There were no baked beans at all and one lady had waited 20 minutes as she was told beans would be coming. The staff were frazzled and said it is always like this all the time as there are so many rooms and the restaurant and staffing numbers are not big enough to make the breakfast experience relaxing and enjoyable. It was carnage and it really spoiled our stay

I’ve been staying in premier inns for a while now but this is the best stay I have ever had in one ! Brilliant staff ,they were all so friendly and welcoming . I want to mention Chloe , kaira and liwia specifically , their level of hospitality and professionalism is truly extrodinary . Overall the environment and the staff made a week of work away a bit more bearable . Thankyou for a wonderful stay !

The staff here are fantastic, they did everything to make my stay enjoyable and by far the best premier inn I have stayed with. The hotel is in need of some new touches however it was clean and everyone was friendly. The breakfast was delicious snd great value for money! Would 100% return soon!

Staying between September 11th and 13th at the Hotel Premier Inn East, in Derby Reception (afternoon): unfriendly, annoyed, overwhelmed (this does not apply to the new employee who really made an effort). Breakfast room: long waiting times at the coffee machine. There was only one coffee machine available for all guests! By 9:10 there were no more eggs available (breakfast is possible until 10:30) …. Room large, bed very good. The shower broke without touching it and fell on my shoulder.

Great experience at this premier inn. Staff were friendly and attentive.Dinner was quick and good value pub like food. Rooms need a little refurbish as it’s looking old. however everything was clean and staff was very helpful. Would 100% recommend and stay again.
