Writing this may be a waste of my time, and yet, it may help one person/family avoid the Seagate, so here goes: this is a Motel 6 on steroids. Stay at the Opal. Or maybe just an actual Motel 6. The Seagate is undergoing renovations, but these renovations will not result in an improved hotel. In fact, we were in a recently "renovated" room, and I assume Seagate's contractor was on peyote. I won't get into specifics, but my daughter could have done a better job, and she's 6 and is only mildly familiar with what a hammer is, though has likely never actually held one. To its credit, the Seagate markets itself well, but by no means is it a five star hotel. I believe at one time it may have been, but I suspect it changed ownership or something has gone wrong in the current owner's personal life, and he/she/it is taking it out on the Seagate's guests. That said, the valet guys are great.
