Six cars broken into (one stolen) in the hotel's unsecured garage- but no apology and a terrible example of how to handle customers who have incurred thousands in damage, missed flights etc... I paid $1,530 for six nights at the property. But, when I asked for some type of compensation for our cars being broken into (incurring more than $1,000 in damage and a missed flight) after already having paid $1,530 for our stay at the property, the verbatim response was, ”We don't owe you anything. You park in our garage at your own risk. We are doing you a favor by even offering to give you points for one free night.” Wow- so I should be grateful for one free night after I paid for six nights and had my car broken into and damaged in your unsecured parking garage. Thank you so much for your overwhelming generosity, caring, and understanding in a very stressful situation... Summary: 1) We pre-booked two stays in a row- two nights (non-refundable) at the hotel May 14-16 and 4 nights (non-refundable) at the hotel May 20-24. Total cost to us $1,530 for 6 nights. 2) Multiple cars (including mine) were broken into in the hotel parking garage early on the morning of May 16. The broken car window and interior damage to my car cost me over $1,000. It also caused me to miss my flight that morning because of having to file police reports, insurance claims, and securing the car itself which had no side window left. 3) No one from the hotel staff ever actually apologized about it. 4) I told the front desk manager (Jordan) to please have the corporate office for the hotel call me to discuss the situation in more detail. 5) Jordan (front desk manager) offered me points for a one night stay at the property. Frankly, given the circumstances, I think both of my first two nights (May 14-16) should have been comped which is why I wanted to discuss this more with the corporate office and not while I was rushing to get a police report filed, insurance filed, and trying to catch a flight. 6) I arrived back at the hotel on May 20th for the second part of my stay. Still, no one from the corporate office had called me, and the points for a one night stay were still not credited to my account. 7) Wednesday, May 22 at noon, I went to the front desk to speak to the manager (Chase) about why no one from the corporate office had called me and why the points had not been credited for a one night stay. Chase was unaware of my request for the corporate office to call me, nor of the points for a one night stay being offered to me. Chase said he would look into it. 8) Wednesday night 10pm, still no one has called me and still no points. So, I left a note at the front desk asking for Chase/Jordan to call me to discuss the situation before I checked out in the morning. 9) Thursday morning comes- still no one called me and still no points for the promised one night stay as compensation for my car being broken into. I go to the front desk, and Jordan i

This Econolodge had some features in the back, like a lighted pool and path area, that was pretty and private feeling. The guests were chill the night I was there. The bed was fine, the remote worked and the wifi was there. The coffee wasn't great out front, but for the money? I'd use them again.

The hotel is opposite Emory University and it is very convenient to go to school. The room size is relatively large, the comfort of the bed is OK, the hot water is sufficient, and the American simple breakfast is provided. The surrounding environment is very good. The facilities are a bit aging, but it does not affect the use. If you need to clean the room, you need to inform the front desk. Parking is free. Overall it feels good.

Ss1561126Checked in for the graduation ceremony, very close to Emory University, next to the Emory apartment, very convenient. The decoration of the room is relatively new, the surrounding environment is also good, very quiet at night. Restaurant meals are also cost-effective
MMalaika Ball PaigeThis hotel was very clean because it is a new hotel. The amenities were nice. Beautiful picture on tv and a lot of space to store your clothing. However, check in was terrible. The man at the desk was frustrated with checking us in. In the middle of checking my dad and I into our separate rooms, he decided to check in three other people. My dad and I looked at each other in disbelief that he would forget we were standing there after a crazy trip there. I had a flat tire and trying to locate somewhere close to get a tire for my car was difficult. The donut that was put on my car was flat also. So, my dad and I was exhausted by the time we got to the hotel. So, for this man to check in three other people saying we got on his nerves, was so disrespectful. I couldn’t understand the frustration when we had just got there. Maybe he needs a break. I do not know!!!😔
DDiamondMy experience at Hilton was amazing sweet respectful employees helped me with anything I need very polite and made sure I was satisfied with my room … asked me if I needed anything everytime they seen me . My room was very very clean and had everything I needed n there I would recommend this hotel anytime any day free hot breakfast every morning hard working cooks keeps the guest happy satisfied and full … the worker that works at the front booking people in she’s beautiful and very very nice she makes sure you got everything u need before you go to your room … anybody that walks through that door she speaks and offer water or snack … she very good at her job
GGuest UserStayed here in late August. The hotel is fine. It could use a little updating; but, the room was clean and comfortable, the location is great and convenient to spots in and out of the city, the I didn't have any issues with noise or anything else that others have mentioned. The only issue was parking which as others have noted is $6 a night even though (1) it's unusual for a Courtyard that's not in an urban/downtown area to charge for parking and (2) it's unnecessary given how large the parking area is at the hotel. When I checked in, I specifically told the front desk clerk that I was not parking a vehicle, yet the charge still appeared on my final bill. The hotel removed the charge, though there was a little harrumphing about it. Otherwise, everything about the hotel was fine, and it's a bit better than other reviewers have mentioned.
GGuest UserDon’t let pictures of the outside fool you! After reading many reviews I took a chance on this place and I’m glad I did! The outside is nothing special but the inside is top tier. The lobby is nice, and the room was excellent! Everything was clean. The shower was updated to a walk in glass shower that looked brand new. The water was hot. There was a refrigerator and when I called the front desk about a microwave they brought one to my room, no problem! The A/C worked perfectly and the beds were comfortable as well as the pillows. Again, clean! Never saw a bug or anything you may be worried about staying in a lower end hotel. The only thing I’d say be prepared for is they require a $100 deposit. I wasn’t aware of that until check in. But you’ll get it back within a few days of checking out.
If you need an affordable, & clean place to stay. This is it.
Oh, and there’s a package store within walking distance for those of us who like an adult beverage to end our day. ;)
CCathyThe place was amazing. The employees were awesome, very friendly and courteous. The only thing I didn’t like was check in time was at 4 o’clock, but it was conveniently located for Stone Mountain and we got an Van service from the Hotel to take us to the laser light show which saved us a lot of time in travel And Eddie was our driver and he was amazing
DDiamond loveeeAmazing service very clean employees are wonderful very helpful and manager has beautiful personality very very sweet and tries to make your stay comfortable as possible, makes sure u have a smile on your face when u leave out the hotel my favorite hotel I can say i only will b coming to this hotel when i need to get one !
I wish i would have read reviews prior to booking/staying at this hotel. I chose this hotel because it was really close to the event that i was participating in. I will describe my experience however just to reiterate, my stay included extremely unclean conditions, drug dealers in the parking lot, *********** in the lobby and homeless sleeping in the hallways, no hot water, one towel, and stains on the carpet. This place should honestly be shut down. When i checked into the room, i immediately noticed that there were people loitering outside of the doors, smoking *********, and bothering people as they entered the doors, there was trash all over the parking lot and the general appearance of the hotel was not clean/safe. I continued to think as long as my room was clean/somewhat presentable, it would be ok. When i got to my room, i noticed that the carpet was very stained, one of the lights on the wall had exposed elements (didn't work) and the bathroom door did not have a knob/lock on it. The main door did not close easily either. However, I had been up all night and chose to stay a little while prior to my event. I proceeded to take a shower....the water was barely luke warm and there was only one towel. The shower curtain was too short and got water all over the floor. Still...not the worst. I left for my event and returned at 1 am. There were still lots of people loitering outside, harassing the guests. I went up to the 4th floor and was immediately approached by a homeless person asking for money. I did not feel safe. I had to give him money to be able to get to my room. When i went down the hall, there were two metal doors that led to my hall. My key would not unlock them, therefore i had to go back to the elevator where the homeless person was camped. He again approached me and proceeded to tell me how people were not safe in this hotel....but i would be ok bc i gave him money. I headed to the front desk (now 130 am) to ask about the deactivated key. When walking down the hall, there were lots of loud hollering coming from the rooms. One of the rooms specifically had the voice of a man that was preaching (screaming). I was honestly scared to be there. When i got to the front desk, there was a security officer seated behind the desk clerk however she never got up while i told them about the homeless man panhandling and sleeping in the hallway. During out conversation, a ********** walked through the lobby. Still they did not appear surprised. I had made a reservation for two nights, however advised that i would be leaving as soon as it was light outside and cancelled the second night. Overall, worst place that i have ever stayed. In reading other reviews, i noticed that reviews are responded to by hotel staff ”apologizing for not meeting expectations.” This reply in itself is a joke since reviews are repeated over and over and nothing changes. Please do not reply if this is all that is offered. I will not stay at this location or an
LLinny ReeceThis by far is my favorite place to stay in Lithonia. The staff is very pleasant. The housekeeping staff greets you every morning with big smiles and sometimes a few jokes. The managers are so nice and really make you feel welcome to this small quant hidden gem of Lithonia.
