My stay was early Oct. With the most perfect weather. I highly recommend this hotel for both location and accomodation. I love to travel and have both for pleasure and business around the US and many parts of the world. This was an important getaway trip as I lost Mom and my girlfriend within the last few months. I needed a good escape and drove all the way from Minnesota to Deadwood, so needed a comfortable place to rest and just escape for awhile. My stay in Deadwood was the first time since 2018 when going with my love. I seached online, and wow did I pick the right place! I would highly recommend this as it was simply awesome! From check in to the accomodations, and only two minutes down the road from Historic Main Street. This resort/hotel/casino, sits quietly on the creek which I discovered the next morning and took a nice refreshing walk along the back of the hotel which is their private property. The hotel is connected to some walking trails also. Now I must let you know, I stayed in the Presidential Suite and WOW! Everything was well appointed, even pottery dishes for eating, granite counter kitchen, living room with an electric fireplace that reallyheats up the room, a bookshelf with classy decorations., clean leather couch and a TV above the mantel in this room. It really felt more like a high class condo than a hotel room.....and seriously, I did not want to leave. Through the screen and sliding glass doors is your very own private deck that looks over the creek and faces the hillside. Was so nice to sit out there in the morning for a cup of coffee and breakfast. The kitchen also had a stainless steel sink, microwave, and refrigerator, plus a granite counter island that has bar stools on the other side connecting to but also separating the living room. And a small modern music stereo with great sound. The deck outside, is private with high cedar walls on both sides. It is quiet, serene and the view in the morning was delightful with tall pines and the hillside. Very private. I sat out back under the stars and sipped on a local beer after going to Saloon 10 where the famous Wild Bill played his last game of poker and was shot. The hotel itself also has a bar and restaurant, but it closed early. It also is attatched to a ******. When I got back from some Blackjack and dancing in downtown Deadwood, two minutes away.....I looked forward to getting back , jumping in the jacuzzi tub, winding down to a movie and getting a good night sleep. The Presidential Suite was so awesome, comfortable, classy yet that at home feeling......when coming "home" to the hotel room, I kicked back in front of the cozy fireplace. There are French doors that separate the bedroom for privacy and as you walk into the bedroom, wow again! Super comfortable King bed, TV, classy lamps, and a bedroom closet. The only thing I would add, is update to a direct plug in for the phone jack. Literally, that is all. Now entering the bathroom, can you say luxury!! Yes, doubl
