It was by default that we ended up at Sea Star Cliff and with the best room they had. It was outstanding. The views, room and breakfast are to die for. The service was notably excellent. I can highly recommend Sea Star Cliff, we will be back.

Hervorragende Lage direkt am Meer. Wale tummeln sich 50 M von der Sonnenterrasse entfernt. Wir bekamen das Penthaus zum Preis des Priority Zimmers. Sehr freundliches Personal, top Frühstück

My wife and I had a wonderful 2 night stay at Sea Star Cliff. The views are spectacular, the rooms are fantastic (one of the nights we stayed in The Penthouse which was amazing) and the breakfast was also very good. Staff was friendly and very helpful. We are already looking forward to our next visit with them

Wir können dieses Hotel nur empfehlen. Waren schon mehrfach hier und werden auch im nächsten Jahr wieder kommen. Das Hotel liegt direkt am Meer und man kann vom Balkon die Wale beobachten. Einfach gigantisch. Das Personal und das Frühstück sind absolut super. Hervorheben möchte ich vom Personal den Manager Dumisani.. Er ist so nett und hilfsbereit und erfüllt einem jeden Wunsch. Absolut toll.

Sehr schönes Hotel auf den Klippen mit einem fantastischen Blick über die Walker Bay, inklusive Wale gucken (von Jahreszeit abhängig). Der Hammer war das kostenlose Upgrade für die Penthouse Suite, da fehlten uns erst mal die Worte. War alles sehr groß, schick und modern. Dazu gehörte noch eine riesige Dachterrasse. Wir sind mit Freunden gereist, deshalb hat sich das wohl angeboten. Das Personal war sehr nett und hilfsbereit und wir hatten ein leckeres Frühstück.

Fangen wir mit dem Guten an: um Wale zu beobachten, eignet sich dieses Haus bestens! Man steht auf dem Balkon des Penthouses und sieht die beeindruckenden Türe sozusagen vor der Haustür! (Zu mehr braucht man aber auch nicht unbedingt für längere Zeit in Gansbai bleiben) Das Penthouse ist schon in Ordnung, doch im Vergleich zu dem, was wir ansonsten gebucht hatten, war es halt nicht mehr ganz so up-to-date bzw. stylish wie uns das gefällt. Was aber - wie bei so manchem - Jammern auf hohem Niveau ist. Das weiß ich schon. Der Service ist jedenfalls nett, die Lage wie gesagt klasse, sauber ist's auch und für eine oder zwei Nächte echt ne gute Wahl.

Wir waren im Oktober 2024 mit zwei Kindern im SEA STAR CLIFF und haben den herzlichen Empfang, sehr guten Service und die Top Lage sehr genossen. Einen Stern ziehen wir für die Sauberkeit/ Instandhaltung der Zimmer ab. Nicht die tägliche Reinigung war hier das Problem, sondern dass der allgemeine Zustand der Zimmer überarbeitet werden müsste. In der Terrassentür war ein Sprung (das Glas war gerissen), die Fugen und Kanten im Badezimmer müssten erneuert werden und im Papiertuchspender war kein Papier, zudem war er kaputt (dann wäre unser Tipp, diesen Spender ganz zu entfernen). Die Büsche könnten vor dem Haus auf der anderen Straßenseite gekürzt werden, damit man vom unteren Hotelzimmer einen besseren Blick hat. Der wichtigste Punkt war für uns aber die Lage des Hotels und die war erste Reihe um Wale zu beobachten. Für uns wurde ein Traum wahr und wir waren fasziniert, vom Bett aus mit dem Fernglas springende Wale zu beobachten. Vielen Dank! Family Delwig We stayed at the SEA STAR CLIFF with two children in October 2024 and really enjoyed the warm welcome, excellent service and top location. We deduct one star for the cleanliness/maintenance of the rooms. It was not the daily cleaning that was the problem here, but the general condition of the rooms that needed to be overhauled. There was a crack in the patio door (the glass was cracked), the joints and edges in the bathroom needed to be renewed and there was no paper in the paper towel dispenser and it was broken (our tip would be to remove this dispenser altogether). The bushes could be shortened in front of the house on the other side of the street so that you have a better view from the lower hotel room. But the most important point for us was the location of the hotel and that was front row for whale watching. It was a dream come true for us and we were fascinated to watch jumping whales from our bed with binoculars. Thank you very much! Family Delwig

It was only a short 1-night stay but we really liked the hotel and breakfast. We were able to spot whales from our balcony which was spectacular! Thank you to the lovely team for the upgrade to the sea view room, our experience would not have been the same!

The staff were super friendly, noticeably well groomed, and efficient. The decor throughout is beautiful, the rooms were luxurious with amazing views of the whales, very close by! Lovely breakfasts too. We will definitely return.
