We booked a 2 bed room for 1 night and needed something clean to sleep in as we were visiting Davenport for just one day. Check in was very easy and the property was older, but in decent shape. The room was actually fairly spacious with modern furniture in good condition. No real desk space, but a small table and chairs was fine when needing to do some laptop work. The room was clean enough and yes older, but decent decor for a budget hotel. The beds were a little firm, but had enough clean linens and pillows. No safe or fridge, but again, it was good enough for one night and had enough room for our bags. WiFi was not dependable at all and made it very difficult to get anything done on our devices. It was quite frustrating. The carpet was in decent shape and didn't feel gross when you walked on it. The bathroom was clean, had good counter space and the basic amenities. Shower pressure was a little wonky, but it worked. There were plenty of towels and they were of good size. There's not much walking distance from here since it's right on a main highway, but you can drive to quite a bit 5-10 min away. The overall property felt mostly safe. You could tell most people stayed here in the middle of traveling somewhere else. The breakfast was plentiful and clean! Eggs, sausage, Mickey waffles, cereal, grits, breads, yogurts, fruits, etc. Plenty of variety and the attendant kept it pretty stocked even though it felt like someone was watching you the whole time. Weird. If I needed just a quick night in Davenport, I'd stay here again. But if I were staying for several nights as part of a vacation, I'd probably find something a bit nicer with more amenities.
