Atlantis Dive Resort Dumaguete

PRE-Trip: Reservation team were the most outstanding communicators I’ve experienced in 30 years of dive trip planning. Timely, concise, and on point. (Jacky, Mench, Emily, Maribel: You ROCK!). DIVE TEAM: Very professional, friendly, and over-the-top helpful. Dive Master Cyrus took incredibly good care of us - we’ll be recommending him by name to our friends that plan to travel here soon. The other DMs were fantastic too, we just got very attached to ours (Cyrus). Great dive briefings, accompanied by hand painted maps of the sites (delightfully professional). And as with any well-run organization, we also noticed that the DMs have a POD mtg every morning (Plan Of The Day). DIVE SHOP/GEAR AREA & CAMERA ROOM: They obviously took great care in laying out the arrangements for divers. From where and how you store your gear to dry in between dives, to the benches laying out, to the awesome camera room, this is exactly our kind of place (a divers paradise resort!). DIVING: I wanted to see new and different things, and my mission was accomplished. Multi-colors of feather stars, sea horses, octopus, giant turtles, vibrantly colored fish, ETC! FOOD/RESTAURANT PERSONNEL: Food was outstanding. More over-the-top friendly and helpful staff. Chef was a good sport about my continual special orders. Annie, Tim, Allieta, and King (Bar), and others: Thank you for taking such good care of us. RESORT: Beautifully appointed. Very peaceful and quiet location. EXCURSIONS: Apo Island trip was a treat. They bbq the meats on board and lunch was waiting for us in between dives. Here again, the best on-a-dive-boat-lunch we’ve ever experienced. And then some fine ladies of Apo Island rowed to our boat and boarded to present their wares for sale. Talk about luxury service! We also did the whale shark excursion. Recommend doing this on a week day as it’s a bit of tourist attraction. The Atlantis team was very professional about giving us a PRE-trip briefing the afternoon before (what to expect, timing, what to and not to do, like no sunscreen). Brilliantly carried out. And another chef-cooked meal waiting for us after swimming with the whale sharks (DEluxe!). RESORT MGMT: Joseph (Resort Mgr), Cedric (Asst Mgr) and Albert (Wait Staff Mgr) were very attentive to us. They made my birthday very special. We also lucked out in getting to meet CEO Steve who was on site during our trip.

Definitely the ideal spot for intense diving while being pampered with high quality of housing. Food experience is quite amazing and the Chef will surprise you everyday. Do not hesitate to spend time at the bar where you will be warmly welcome. Staff is absolutely great and you will be surprised by everyone calling you by your name after hrs ! :)))

12 days and 11 nights of genuine, kind, consistent impeccable customer service‼️Our scuba dive team, based in FL, but from several states encountered the most amazing personnel during our stay. The dive masters and their support team, all went above and beyond for our safety and joyful diving experience! If weather wasn't conducive to diving, we were invited to classroom presentations by the dive masters on the sea life. They were very informative! It's exciting to witness their brilliance and uniqueness but to also learn their life span, habits, etc elevates the diving experience. The restaurant, bar, spa, housekeeping, transportation, dive shop, landscaping, office..... are all staffed with professionals!! We were treated with impeccable service!

Amazing! Resort was great. Rooms were clean and modern. Staff called everyone by name. Diving was close and always a pleasure. Liveaboard was also a great experience. Staff just a great as the resort. Dives were amazing. Food was amazing both in the resort and aboard the liveaboard. Really - not a single complaint.

We recently went there and had a small family reunion. As soon as you go through the gate and enter that tropical heaven you know it is the right choice. The grounds are amazing, the views are fabulous, and the staff is spectacular!! The food was always on point and the chef is always on top of his game. The entire staff are the greatest. While there we went on a few excursions that were the highlight of the family trip. I would highly recommend this for a nice low key getaway!!! They always show you 5 Star treatment!!

Highlights Pretrip communication electronically was proactive & thourough..do read the website esp FAQ ..lots of perfect trip planning info and links regarding expectations and guidance for travel Seamless conceirge dive experience ( besides analyzing your tank if you use eanx) you don't lift a finger to bring your gear on & off the boat Professional extremely knowledgeable dive guides finding all sorts of sea creatures in the much ( Warfi genie Alf wing jason junnar sorry for those we missed blame it on our forgetful head not our heart) Restaurant services know you name, food preferences & can adjust easily regardless of your requirements? ( vegetatian/ vegan etc)..Alfred runs an awesome service with bar staff..King made my expresso daily and wait staff during our stay Annie Rozy Rachel were rock stars Administration/ management from desk staff on point t ready to answer any logistics ( eg tours, room issues) under steady had of manager Joseph his assistant Brian and sales/ marketing Marco , Maribel for travel.. all made our grp stay pleasant & coordinated We were able bring supplies to the local schools & provide a donation to their efforts thru Blue Sky Education Project and do some coral reef work..make sure you support the local economy... venture off site ( highly recommend the red rock water falls hot springs half day tour) Housekeeping & grounds maintenance excellent..daily cleaning with smiles and true pride in their work SPA staff gracious, affordable treatments & appointments able to be done around dive schedule Camera & classroom topnotch modern spacious Resort itself is well laid out with luscious tropical feel flowrs, plants, winding cobble stone pathways( with updated room layouts, & good shower pressure with places to lay out your wet clothes ( reasonable laundry service avaliable) Dive briefings are organized & timely, divers have assigned spaces and rinse gear & outdoor shower area spacious Dive boat options whether bangka or speed boat are safe, stable & well-equipped ( o2 1st aid/water) with knowledgeable captains & crew I'm sure lm missing some names & other crucial elements but their tag line" come as guests leave as friends" is TRUE

This is the top of the top. This is a resort where you will leave crying as theu will offer you so much you won't believe it. The restaurant is providing a la carte menu that is different every day. The mango cocktail is recommended. The accommodation is clean, tidy, cool, quiet. The diving (macro) is just superb. The guides are skilled and so dedicated.

This was my third stay at the Dumaguete resort. The previous two were for three days after Azores cruises. For this trip I led a group of 13 to Atlantis Dumaguete for a 10 day stay. The island of Negros sits in the heart of the Coral Triangle. The muck diving is on par with Sulawesi and the Lembeh Straight and is more than reason enough to dive here. For some of our group this was their first experience muck diving. After the first dive a few were questioning their decision and somewhat disappointed by what they didn't see, lush colorful corals and plentiful fish life. Although, Apo Island trips did check that box off for them later in the week. By the last dive they were enthusiastic muck divers, all thanks to the dive guides who went to great lengths to make sure they saw what was hidden in the muck. As for the resort itself, what sets it apart from others I have visited is the Five Star staff. From the moment we arrived to the time we stood in line to check-in to fly home there was always someone there to help if needed. Not once did we hear the word no to any request we made. Every one of the staff made it their mission to ensure we would want for nothing. I wish I could remember everyone's name, liked they remembered ours, to individually recognize their outstanding service. Resort Manager Joseph, Restaurant Manager Albert, Waitresses Anne and Jennifer, Dive Masters Alf and Art and the entire staff live by the Atlantis motto "Arrive as a Guest… Leave as a Friend". You have set a standard by which I will judge all others.

We visited in a group of approximately 10 divers, and seemed to cater to mostly Westerners. The staff was very friendly, for example they learn your name within the first few minutes and greet you warmly the entire time. I was able to spend time talking with our divemaster and one of the servers, and learned about the local culture. They had a celebration the final night where they gave me a personalized shirt for my 100th dive. I had never been muck diving before. The first few days I was a little disappointed by the lack of coral, but at some point I realized I was seeing some exceptional creatures that aren’t easy to see in other places. We saw a banded sea krait, a sea snake, a wunderpus octopus, a bunch of cuttlefish, a few schools of squid, a lifetime supply of frogfish, lots of nudis, turtles, ghost pipefish, mandarin fish, and even 3 rare Spanish dancers. We spent one day at a nearby island with classic coral, which was a nice break. Also visited Oslob to see the whale sharks. Up to 4 dives a day, plus an optional nigh dive daily. So, lots of memorable diving! Just realize that 75% of the bottom is going to be silt, mud and rubble. Strangely, that’s where the action is.
