During this trip to Shanxi, Tujia Hotel Jinci Branch surprised me the most! Needless to say, the location is right in the parking lot of Jinci Park, and the place is spacious. And there is a path next to it. But having access to the park nearby is really a blessing! The room was pleasantly surprised because it was really big and suitable for people like us with older children. The beds are all 1.5 meters in size, with moderate softness and firmness. The furniture in the room is simple and practical, and the bathroom is also very large, with wet and dry separation, and a mirror and headlight, which is very comfortable to use. Husband and children are very satisfied! We stayed here for two nights and really felt the hospitality of the owner. The boss is a gentle-looking young lady who speaks in a nice voice and yet still has the boldness of the north. Understand our travel needs, help us plan the route, and put ourselves in our shoes. We were catching an early flight home, and he was afraid that we would be hungry, so he prepared a big bag of snacks and stuffed them for me. I was really touched! The restaurant in the store is also very large, with rich dishes and many choices for breakfast. The cut noodles we had were plenty and delicious! Next time we come to Taiyuan, we will stay at Tujia. It is very strong and the bed is very comfortable. I feel nothing when sleeping on the upper bunk. It has a view of the ancient city and is very comfortable. 4. Service: Humane and friendly, you are greeted when you come in and out. The service is friendly and available every day. Specialty coffee, great! The room has soft water throughout the house. I am a person who has relatively high requirements for water quality. I am very satisfied with this. Flaws do not cover up strengths. I stayed here for one night. After a quick tour, I found that Datong is really a good place and I will come again.

It cost 1,488 yuan to live in a Hampton by Hilton. There was almost no soundproofing. The sound of playing cards next door was loud in the middle of the night. The air conditioner kept showing d5 and not starting. In short, the experience was very different at this price. The only advantage may be that it is new.

The location was perfect for us - nestled between both major train stations, a short walk to the old city, and conveniently very close to the bus station to the Hanging Monastry. We loved the free tea (of various varieties) in the lobby! The room was a little old but clean, comfortable and quiet. I guess the only complaint is the elevator - they only have two but about 14 floors and it was utter chaos trying to move about in the morning when everyone wants to check out. Small issue though.

There is a large paid parking lot downstairs of the hotel, and there are hot pot restaurants, Hunan restaurants, knife-cut noodles, local specialty drinks, etc. There are also Sunji buns and knife-cut noodles nearby, so you can experience Datong cuisine when you go out.
